After it healed (FWIW I used neosporin) and I guess the scab fell off, a scar appeared in the form of a lighter skin tone where the circular break had occured.
The rest of my shaft is some-what dark, so this spot-scar stands out TO ME, and is inappropriately but frequently bothersome.
Well I just want to know if this lighter circle will ever fade back to my normal skin tone?

i could have it removed by biopsy or laser (to burn it), with laser leaving a smaller but indented scar. i would like to have it removed but im worried about the extent of scarring and the chance of it coming back which he said was possible. the bump is approx. 3mm in diameter and raised 1.5mm, and i also have two similar smaller bumps on the crown of my head which i would like to remove too.
I am wondering is this a common procedure, and my biggest concern is the likelyhood of a bad scar.

I got this scar after a minor injury where my knee was peeled of after u fell down. It's been almost 2 years and this mark look very bad on my knee and I am thinking of surgery to fix this. Before I do that I want to know if any kind if ointment can fix this. I guess my old skin needs to get off and new skin will probably look good. Now this part looks like its burnt

your link just said that the CO2 laser works really well with great cosmetic results. That laser, CO2 laser, is a relatively new laser, and does have a wide range of conditions that it can treat. Though there are numerous other lasers that can be used. Going for surgery may only cause more scar tissue growth and leave a similar marking on the lip. Talk to your doctor about your options and then decide from there.

Uh, its not really red its kind of brown the color of the skin is different then my skin tone... Everything is healed, no lesions are erupting or any of that, no loose skin its completely flat none of that its normal, I just don't like seeing it different then my skin tone. I don't know it doesn't look like its inflamed : / But what do I know?
Hi, For as long as I can remember I have had an overly thickened, uneven circumcision scar with considerable reddening of the skin surrounding the scar. Bizarrely it is considerably thicker and more 'inflamed' on the left side of the penile shaft. As you would expect, it is particularly apparent when erect.
