Avatar n tn Even a 20% decrease in my already bad vision would make me unable to drive, photograph etc. He assured me it is routine and low risk, but Las Vegas isn’t known for its quality of medical care. Given than there are three tears and it is my only working eye, I want to hear your thoughts. Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn A little over a year ago she had her Gallbladder removed, then her appendix out a few months later. After a month in the hospital in Las Vegas, they transferred her to Cedars Sinai, then LA Childrens, where they eventually diagnosed her with Mitochondrial Disease as well as Eosinophilic Esophagatis. While she was in the hospital, they found that she is allergic to the Titanium clip used for her gallbladder. She is always in pain & cannot eat at all...has been on TPN for months.

Avatar n tn Doctor has prescribed Bacitracin Ophthalmic Ointment USP and Systane. He says it is a matter of dry eye. I live in Las Vegas. However, I have faithfully used the ointment for over a week, and I don't see an improvement. I replaced the Systane with another dry-eye drop because the Systane seemed to irritate my eye further. I'm reaching the point of sheer terror, and the appearance of my eye is effecting the work I do.
Avatar f tn Hi Dr. I stared directly into the sun in 115 degreee heat in Las Vegas Nevada. I forgot my sunglasses...stupidity....at best....and i fried my eyes so bad..that my left eye doubled in size & 3 days later...a pterygium grew on my left eye..(1 mm) & continued to grow..2mm at 3 years..and then the right eye..ping..grew into pterygium also. I had surgery with an experienced surgeon...the eye that was slow-er growing was a success..The eye that i fried....is not.
Avatar f tn Jem, I am in St George, Ut and my PCP offered to refer me to an NS in Las Vegas or in SLC, I chose SLC because I have 3 family members who work in the new hospital where the NS is. I am not sure if there are any Chiari specialists in LV, but after my NS visit in SLC, I have decided to get another opinion from the Barrow Neorological Institue in Phoenix. The wait is long, but I feel it is worth it. Barrow has an easy referral system that is acessed either online or by phone.

29837 tn?1414534648 Yes, it's been a long time. I temporarily moved from Las Vegas to Chicago to be prepared for a transplant once my MELD score reaches 15. It is now 10, which means the only way I can get a liver now is from a living donor or friend. Friday, I will has a procedure done called TIPS. This will put a shunt in the liver to relieve pressure, which will hopefully not allow so mu ascites and tapping to get rid of fluid.
