Avatar n tn yag tattoo removal machine, work in the same way to remove post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Will it be suitable for me.
Avatar f tn Hello, Although this site is common for melasma, yet since the hyperpigmentation appeared after the laser treatment. Hence it can be due to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Topical treatments with acids and chemical peels can be effective but can take a while for the skin to totally revert to its normal color. Microdermabrasion can also be done, but this might require several sessions. Also use the hydroquinone cream with caution and as advised by your dermatologist.
Avatar m tn There is a scar removal product on the market now. (Sorry, I can't remember the name) but it was on the television last night) Their claim is that it significantly diminishes scars of any kind. Maybe you could do a google search for scar removal products.

I have done 2 times of laser on it and applied hydroquinone for about a month. But it still remains unchanged, are there any other options?

Avatar f tn My husband had laser hair removal about two weeks ago to his beard. He developed folliculitis. The folliculitis is now cleared up and the hair on his beard is very patchy. The skin under the hair seems to be lighter than the skin that has no hair. Is this b/c the skin without hair is still healing and will blend in eventually or is it going to stay this way. Also, this was the first treatment. Will hair grow back in these spots that have no hair.
Avatar f tn Hello, Since you are having laser treatment sittings for the hair growth on upper lip, it can be hyperpigmentation as a result of side effect of the laser treatment also. My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist and get this possibility evaluated. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep us posted on how you are doing. Kind regards.
Avatar m tn I frankly don't get it. You're 21 but you don't know about all this? It is PERFECTLY normal to have hair on the base of the penis, on your scrotum, and on your penis shaft. It is also PERFECTLY NORMAL to have that straight line under your penis. All men have it. Unless you have a history of trauma/injury/inflammation under your penis, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Removing the hair on the shaft is totally fine, as long as you're not using hair laser removal.
Avatar n tn I've had a truly hideous sun damage/hormonal brown hyperpigmentation problem on my face for 8 years now. The worst part is that my acne, impetigo and chicken pox scars are snow white and so the total effect is terribly uneven and very, very obvious - I feel like a very ugly Smartie box. So many dermatologists, so much sunblock, so many prescribed peroxide creams and absolutely no permanent result. Temporary, minor fading is the extent of efficacy.
