Avatar m tn one of the questions that i did have, i used to smoke, therefore i would put whitening eye drops in my eyes way to much. i am very anal about what my eyes look like, if they aren't perfectly white i get paranoid.. so for prob ateast 3 years straight i put whitening eye drops in my eyes, several times per day. could this have any affect on how my eyes react to this day? could that have damaged my eyes for life? i never use whitening drops anymore though, unless it is absolutely necessary.
Avatar f tn I saw a Retinal Specialist yesterday and he mentioned that he sees a suspicious area in my left eye and referred to it as White without Pressure. He said that the whitening is preventing him to clearly see that area and it may or may not be masking a retinal tear. 1. What is the probability that this maybe masking a tear? 2. What is the usual prognosis of "white without pressure" 3. He mentioned that it's usually seen in myopic people.

Avatar n tn If there are whitening lotions for darker skins, lipsticks for black lips, why cant they invent whitening for eyes.
Avatar n tn Richard Anderson in Boston who is the person who discovered the Q-switched laser for the skin around the eye and was also working on the laser eye treatment for sclera. They have already treated the condition in pigs but have not treated humans. He said that there is just not enough people with this condition and I guess not enough demand to do more research. As for continuing studies to treat scleral pigment, there are none that he knows of.
Avatar f tn I use it! I love it i think my teeth look different but not as white as i want! BUT that's me I feel i need laser teeth whitening for what i want!! DH loves it he says its the only kind that dont make his gums bleed which i do agree too!!
Avatar m tn Hello, The Vbeam produces a laser light that can be absorbed by the red pigment in the skin. The Vbeam laser works in combination with the Cool Touch laser and with a substance called Levulan. While the Vbeam laser removes red from acne scar tissue, the Cool Touch laser tightens the skin from the inside out. But this requires more than two sittings to take effect. So you should follow up with your cosmetologist and get it done in multiple sittings.
Avatar n tn I really have no confidence that this glare and halos will disappear. And I hate the whitening (like looking through a flimsy paper) of vision. I just had a progressive eye-glasses, it does not give me any edge over 2 pair of glasses, except a little bit convenience. To Dr JCH I heard that there is no aspheric monofocal lens for hight myopia (-16), is this true ??
Avatar m tn boxer is a lair. he will do the operation after you've paid him alot of money ($8800) and after only one month the pigmentation comes back. what he does is to take your picture of the eyes before the operation and the following day after the operation when its still fresh.and he will show it on his webside that was taken one month after the operation and that the operation was successful.
Avatar n tn the area around my mouth and chin is quite dark and can be easily spotted, my cheeks seems to be lighter but with dark spots which im sure is melasma, my eye area is quite dark compared to the rest of my face and my forehead a medium colour. i tend to get spots leaving marks which makes my skin look even more uneven, rough and though my skin may be soft, the appearence doesn't convey that, it always looks like i have spots and marks even when i dont!
Avatar m tn I used Nair on my face it says on the bottle i could just not near the eye and i developed burns that turned out to be skin discoloration on my face so the pigment is damaged and cannot tan. I have had this for 5 months and all the creams I've used does not help me get back my color.
Avatar n tn Good day, I have overused skin whitening creams on my forehead due to sun damage over the years. Now, I cannot seem to get by skin faded. I have tried numerous products over the counter and FDA approved medications with no luck. I am self-conscious and the reason I started with creams was due to having folks look directly at my forehead and not me. I have a pic of this situation at hand. If anyone can help with a product, etc that can fade my skin it would be must appreciative.

Avatar f tn m sorry if I have been asking too many questions but I have a question about an Intraretinal Hemorrhage. I have been having problems with my left eye since the last week of January. I seem to have a wavy/blind spot in my eye that makes things look distorted and sometimes difficulty reading. I had my first ophthalmologist/retinal specialist appointment on Tuesday and she diagnosed a IRH superotemporal to my fovea with mild retinal whitening. Would this diagnosis be causing my symptoms?
Avatar n tn It sounds like you might have some hemosiderin staining--i.e., your skin has been stained by your blood. I had that problem following eye surgery. In some cases, this type of staining can be permanent--but don't worry, I have a solution for you. Google "candela laser" to find the company's website. You'll find a small-scale study in which the AlexTriVantage laser successfully removed "permanent" hemosiderin stains.
Avatar n tn There are various procedure to get your teeth whiten without the use of bleach. The various types are KöR Whitening, ZOOM! Whitening, and basic whitening take-home trays. KöR Whitening is meant for the person who needed intrinsic cleaning or tetracycline cleaning while in ZOOM! Avatar m tn I would try the cleaning, whitening strips and whitening toothpaste and see what results you get. Then you can decide if you need to invest the money on professional whitening that's done by your dentist. Hope this helps and good luck!
Avatar f tn You could try an over the counter bleaching solution like a Crest Whitening Strips or other brands that are out there. Whitening toothpaste could be another option but I am not as big a fan due to abrasives they place in there that remove the stains so it depends on how hard you brush and if there's significant wear on your teeth. Something that I've been hearing about is oil pulling.
Avatar f tn I also want to know how is it possible that after the 360 laser on my left eye for precautionary the vitrous then started pulling and retina detached. I must also mention that I am myopic -6. Now I have sclera buckle in both eyes. I must also mention that the current detachment on my right eye is not interfering with my vision. Please help from South Africa.
Avatar n tn Most recently (this year) I had laser on my other eye to repair a small detachment and tears, and because the surgeon intended to do everything possible to seal off the problem, I was given an injection of anesthetic in my eye before the laser. In other words, the surgeon anticipated that the laser could cause pain. I do have lattice but was treated with laser only when tears/holes appeared. I hope by now your pain is gone!
Avatar n tn Get a thorough cleaning of your teeth before whitening. So, long as you follow the directions for whitening and don't do it more than 2 x a year you'll be fine. If you're wanting a professional whitening, just listen to your dentist. Be aware that "at home" whitening kits are safe, but can cause irritation of the gums, but this goes away once you're done whitening. If it becomes bothersome, just skip a day between whitening.
Avatar m tn One of my friend suggested me for home dental kit for teeth whitening. Which is the best in between at home or in office teeth whitening? This discussion is related to teeth whitening.
