Avatar f tn Is it a good idea to get laser vein removal done to my upper eyelids to remove dilated blood vessels?
Avatar n tn I suspect you may have diabetic related bleeding or perhaps a branch or central retinal vein occlusion - just guessing. The laser is fairly easily performed and generally safe and without it you coulf face much worse loss of vision. Make sure you are seeing a retinal specialist ophthalmologist.
Avatar n tn Hello, There are 5 types of laser hair removal systems. These include pulsed light, Nd YAG laser, diode laser. Alexanderite laser and ruby laser. This depends on the skin type and varies from patient to patient. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist for the skin type and then depending on that, laser hair removal can be decided.
Avatar n tn Hi, Needless to remind you that you need to talk to your doctor, a cardiologist. If the varicose vein is in the legs, I understand that laser treatment is possible. Please google for ' laser treatment for varicose veins ' for more details.

Avatar f tn 10 days after surgery, eye went dark, told i had blood in it, went to surgery, had an unexplained retinal vein occlusion, (told i had bad luck again) fixed occlusion, air bubble. Was seeing great 20/40. 3 weeks later, had distorted vision and a black cloud moving over my eye, things went dark. Was told i had PVS(lots of scar tissue on the center of my eye), and that it pulled my retina off. (told again i have REALLY bad luck). Needed another surgery.
274158 tn?1276347187 ll never be able to see properly out of that eye. The doctor wants to do laser surgery on the other eye to prevent further damage. She is scheduled for that next week. I was wondering if that will help her blurry vision or not? I couldn't really ask the doctor- they are so busy, they are the only specialists in my area. I know it will prevent further damage. Will the procedure hurt, is this a hereditary thing? Do I have a chance of getting it?
Avatar m tn In 2002, I got laser hair removal done between my eyebrows. Ever since, something strange has happened. My right pupil dilates more than my left, and sometimes my right eye's veins are more red than my left as well. Also, on my right eyebrow, white hairs are appearing. And I'm only 27 years old. Anyone have any idea about this??? Could the laser hair removal affected my veins?
Avatar n tn A related discussion, bleeding behind the left eye was started.
Avatar n tn my question is basically whats wrong with this one.a few moths ago my right eye was said to have something called espinat or somthing lyk that meaning this eye is a bit blurry when seeing sumthing from a far distance but my other eye is fine.i've noticed that this eye has a red vein and the other eye doesn't.sometimes i feel lyk it's also different in size .
Avatar f tn Thank you for your comments. The first ophthamologist said the pain is due to an acute closed angle glaucoma, but the surgeon said the laser surgery is only used to save vision, and I have no vision in my left eye. He believes removing my eye is the best option. But, the surgeon who was going to remove the eye doesn't think removal will help the pain.
Avatar n tn A month ago I had a secondary cataract removed from my right eye with a laser. My eyes were tested yesterday at a different doctors office and I was very surprised to see that the letters on the chart looked jagged! Meaning that the appearance of the letters instead of appearing smooth seemed as if they had been ripped out of something This doctor said that their was nothing that he could do but to come back in six weeks. He would not say that this was caused by the laser. I am stunned.
Avatar n tn I have been diagnosed with central vein occlusion and have macular edema. I have been advised to have an injection in my eye of Avastin. What is your opinion? The occlusion happened about 41/2 months ago and my vision got a little better but a couple of months ago got worse again.
Avatar m tn Would I benefit from the laser surgery treatment for secondary cataract?
Avatar f tn I also want to know how is it possible that after the 360 laser on my left eye for precautionary the vitrous then started pulling and retina detached. I must also mention that I am myopic -6. Now I have sclera buckle in both eyes. I must also mention that the current detachment on my right eye is not interfering with my vision. Please help from South Africa.
Avatar f tn t want the YAG laser to damage my eye from the power of the laser. How long do I have to wait to have this laser work done after cataract and vitrectomy surgery?
1298247 tn?1288290953 This is a very difficult problem, each case is somewhat different so I cannot give specific answers. You need to discuss with surgeon. He needs to control his diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, weight, not smoke; he may need more laser, surgery such as vitrectomy to remove blood, may need cataract removal or lensectomy, glaucoma treatment may need drops, laser or glaucoma surgery.
Avatar n tn The vein is horizontal and somewhat curvy in her right eye. Her eyes used to be clear and now I feel very guilty every time I look her in the eyes and see that vein. Is there any chance of it going away? Based on what I have read it doesn't appear that there are any treatments for this. I realize that this is merely a cosmetic concern, but I still wish there were something I could do about it. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Avatar f tn I don't know if anyone else has this condition? I've had them since my late teens. Bumps under both eyes. I've tried laser - one eye was treated with little difference. Now I wouldn't care about them if they were anywhere else, but when something is on the face it can really affect ones confidence. I have conceeded that I will probably never get rid of all of them. But two options have been suggested to me - cauterization and eye bag removal.
Avatar f tn Laser hair removal on the face is cheap and easy these days, I did it for my eyebrow area/unibrow.
Avatar n tn Just read an interesting article about this subject and there are actually two eye doctors currently performing eye vein removal surgery in the U.S. It’s kind of expensive unfortunately, but might be worth it for some of us that are really getting down about the matter: http://hubpages.
Avatar f tn Thank you for your reply. I will speak with my eye doctor regarding this next month.
Avatar f tn i have this very red vein in my right eye and i stopped wearing my contacts because i felt a sharp stabbing pain in my right eye this only happens to my right eye the red vein starts from the corner of my eye and extends out is there any way that i can get rid of it and home remedies or treatments?
Avatar m tn (1) Would capsulotomy tend to decrease refraction within the eye (increase focal length) and thereby reduce the amount of negative correction presently needed? (2) Would you suggest that I undergo surgery on the left eye in the near future and defer it for the right one -- or, would you suggest that surgery be performed on both eyes in the near future during one session? Postscript: Overall, I believe that monovision was a good choice.
Avatar f tn There are two treatments being advertised for sufferers of severe floaters-more laser surgery, said to target the large bodies in the eye, that are not close to the macula, and, Floaters only Vitrectomy (FOV). The laser treatment of floaters has shown little success, from stats I've read. There are dangers as well, because of possible retinal damage from the laser. The FOV is only offered by a limited number of eye doctors, however, that list is growing.
