Avatar f tn thanks, I have a yearly appt with the eye doctor in about 2 weeks. The pain in the neck is gone and my headaches are less frequent, but the visual disturbances persist. Any ideas of what might be wrong with me? Anyone else with similar symptoms?
586266 tn?1223817191 Dr Hagan, I understand why a Yag laser is done,The floater is gone from that eye, but the cloud still remains, It is not as dense as it was last week, but the surgery has not worked and I have had it done twice now.
Avatar f tn I had cataract surgery in my left eye, I was supposed to get far vision in both eyes & have reading glasses, I ended up with very close vision 6 in to 18 in in the left eye & I can see a ring around the outside of my eye when I read, model sn60wf 25.0d. I now have a ghost image to the left side of all objects in the left eye & a kinked capsule that also gives me a white star burst diagonally . so the surgeon adjusted the next cataract lens in my right to sn60wf 24.
Avatar n tn My opthamologists recommened i use Maxidex, which I have been using for 2 months and have gone for refills, there is still no difference. In fact, the left eye, has got an irritation of some sort, it feels awkard, irritable and painful when I blink, I almost feel the need to close it when Im exposed to airconditioners in malls. He then inserted a contact lense to sooth the pain and irritation in the left eye and recommended i use cellufresh and vigamox. Again.
1778927 tn?1381878747 I have gone to all the rechecks and the doctor states that the fluid is gone and of course there is slight scarring from the laser. I still see a slight spot in the eye (which I expected) but inside the spot I get occasional flashing of lights. Much like static on a TV when it is on a channel with no reception. The retina specialist says the eye is healing fine. Is this normal to have "static" type lights in the eye while the eye continues to heal.
Avatar m tn My 14-yr-old daughter who has been wearing specs for the last 3 years was suddenly diagnosed with LATTICE DEGENERATION yesterday. We had gone to the eye specialist for a routine check-up when the doctor suggested why not have a retina examination if we are not in a hurry. Subsequently, after the retina examination, the eye specialist told us that my daughter had lattice degeneration & suggested we go for laser immediately. I refused. My questions are: 1.
Avatar m tn On January 3, 2012, I had to go through the YAG laser procedure to get rid of the scar tissue from the cataract surgery in my left eye. Since the first YAG procedure in January, I have gone through this procedure two more times, January 17, and February 14, 2012. I have been looking for information on this and I cannot seem to find it. What I need to know is how many times does a person have to undergo YAG laser before it finally causes damage to the eye, more specifically the retina?
Avatar f tn Not only has his vision gotten worse then prior to the surgery(he cannot see from far at all), but also he sees a bright light when he opens that eye. The doctor said that the eye should return to normal as long as he takes his eyedrops, but they don't seem to be working very much at this point. What would you recommend? Can anybody help me?
Avatar m tn I had YAG laser capsulotomy performed on my left eye. During the procedure my vision in my right eye became distorted by intense red light, and pain occurred in my right eye. After the procedure my right eye seemed ok. Nine hours later a hemorrhage occurred in my right eye and was repaired the following day. My question that so far has gone unanswered is what caused the red light and pain I experienced during the YAG treatment?
181575 tn?1250198786 He saw his GP who referred him to an eye specialist. The eye specialist found that he had a retinal tear. My brother just completed laser surgery (Monday afternoon) to seal the tear. After surgery he said the spots and rings were gone and he felt relieved. By evening (about 5 hours later), he said the spots came back but not as severe. He's concern again. Is this "normal" for the spots and ring symptoms to come back like this.
Avatar f tn I did not sue. I just wanted to save my vision. I had a scleral buckle done on my right eye and several laser procedures on my left eye. My right eye is only good for peripheral vision. My central vision is extremely distorted. Thankfully, with corrective lenses I am able to see with my left eye. If you aren't sure about your current eye doctor, you owe it to yourself to get another (2 or more) opinions. Once your vision is gone, you can't get it back.
Avatar f tn Your doctor is testing for uveitis with the HLAB-27. It sounds like you are in the UK (GP gives it away every time!) so I would get to Moorefields straight away and get a diagnosis. Don't mess about. It appears to me that not all uveitis is HLAB-27 positive so this is not a definitive test for this problem.
Avatar f tn Hi,I am 41,have undergone Laser Barrage recently. Now after that i was given Tobramycin and dexamethasone opthalmic solution to continue for 1 week. But after stopping that med my eye is becoming red and when i look in the light,it hurts. Is anything wrong?
Avatar m tn So on 1st of september,I had laser done, my flashes are gone but new problem emerged that, after the laser, my vision is still blurry as Almost 40 hrs have been passed, I can read words in LE accurately but they are slightely blurred as compared to my RIGHT HEALTHY EYE, I was worried about damage to fovea Or cornea by laser .
Avatar n tn I awoke in the operating room to an eye doctor who was called in to wake me up and examine my eye which had filled with blood. What I was told later by the ENT Doctor who performed the surgery, is that he was sorry and what happened was that the small bone between my eye & nose cracked & a piece went flying into my eye where it got inbedded into the muscle. The injury to my eye is very serious. There is too much swelling right now, and they are not able to see the bone.
Avatar n tn A month ago I had a secondary cataract removed from my right eye with a laser. My eyes were tested yesterday at a different doctors office and I was very surprised to see that the letters on the chart looked jagged! Meaning that the appearance of the letters instead of appearing smooth seemed as if they had been ripped out of something This doctor said that their was nothing that he could do but to come back in six weeks. He would not say that this was caused by the laser. I am stunned.
