Avatar m tn Hello, There are many procedures of mole removal like by shave or deep elliptical excision, excision with cauterization (a tool is used to burn away the mole) and laser removal. Your dermatologist may choose excision with or without stitches, depending on the depth of the mole and the type of cosmetic outcome desired. Laser removal has less chances of leaving scars but it is also not without side effects. Discuss the details of these procedures with your dermatologist.
6346111 tn?1620504166 Hi, certain procedures are done for scar removal like dermabrasion, phototherapy including blue and red light, photodynamic therapy and laser treatment like laser resurfacing can be tried. I will advise you to seek help of a dermatologist who specializes in skin problems or a plastic surgeon, under whose guidance you could adopt the therapy that suits you the best. Regards.
Avatar n tn So about a month ago I decided to try removing my mole with apple cider vinegar. It seemed to work, but that little bit of OCD in me caused me to never be satisfied, as every time the scab came off, there was a slight bump where the mole used to be. I thought that the acv was not penetrating deep enough into the mole, and that was why it still remained raised, as there was some mole left over.
Avatar m tn Various methods used for mole removal are excision and cauterization. Although laser removal has been tried for moles, it is not usually the method of choice for most deep moles because the laser light doesn't penetrate deeply enough. You can get this mole evaluated from a dermatologist and get it evaluated. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar m tn While the Vbeam laser removes red from acne scar tissue, the Cool Touch laser tightens the skin from the inside out. But this requires more than two sittings to take effect. So you should follow up with your cosmetologist and get it done in multiple sittings. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
Avatar m tn Of course laser scar removal can be used on the genitals to treat scars since laser removal is commonly used in removing warts caused by HPV. From my personal experience, laser therapy is not bad at all and involves very little pain after a session of laser treatment although the pain might be a little annoying when the treatment begins (it feels like bacon grease that occasionally splashes up and hits you in the wrist when you're cooking; nothing too painful).
Avatar f tn Hi, I had a mole on my face and I did a mole excursion, a small brown spot grew back, and I did a mole laser removal surgery to get it remove. However after the laser removal surgery, my mole is not disorted and grown, it doesn't seem to be a tissue scar cause it is dark brown and a raiser lump has occurred. Is this an indication of something? Can I get mole removal again using laser or excision or it would keep coming back? Thanks!
Avatar m tn Already attempted laser repair surgery, where the neuroma and scar tissue were removed. After 6 months everything was reformed as before, same pain etc. I was told that the only solution could be cortisone or botulinum toxin injections I wonder, is there no way to know if there is actual nerve damage? is it possible to evaluate damage with electromyography on a nerve less than 1 mm? How can I be sure there is a nerve injury? Anyone have experiences?

Avatar n tn I really did not have acne problems before this began. I have been using duac gel and it reallt has not gotten much better. I have been told that laser treatment would be a great choice. What is the average price range for the laser removal of ingrown hairs? This discussion is related to Infected facial hair follicles (in-grown hairs).
Avatar n tn Hello doctor. I really hope I can get some helpfull advice, since I haven't found any in a year. I had gotten a tatto on my thigh about a year ago and it got infected. (MRSA probably) I got 3 boils on the area. Went to a doct, was prescibed antiobiotics and all went away. The only problem is that I have 3 purplish scars left that just won't go away no matter what I do. They are a little unflattened, and dark purple.
Avatar f tn ve been looking for articles regarding the use of accutane in patients with keloid/hypertrophic scarring, but all I can seem to find are horror stories of people taking accutane and going and having laser treatment/dermabrasion resulting in keloid formation. I would never do that to my skin during such a delicate time! I just want to know what to expect of my keloid prone skin *while taking* accutane. I can't find anything on the subject! My question is...

Avatar f tn I mean it not be larger or deep anymore, but still have trace on it. after 4 months ago, the acne came back again, and make it steroid again. My question, How can I stop the acne makes new on my body again? It is very disturb me. And if I using collagen filling, does it work to mak our skin become natural again? Does it take a risk? Thank You.
Avatar n tn ) After the mole went away, it left a NASTY scar. The scar is about the same color of the mole, but showed up a few days after the mole was already gone. I'm so self-conscious about this scar. (As I was about the mole, before.) I always have to cover it up with make-up so no one will see it. The problem with that is I'm always playing sports, so I sweat and the make-up comes off. Also, when I'm swimming, the make-up comes off.
Avatar n tn It is said that laser can destroy oil glands. Please look into research about the DHT hormone responsible for acne (roaccutane blocks this). I'd say your dose was too low to stop acne but would have little effect on an existing cyst. There are natural DHT blockers. One is called Saw Palmetto. Laser treatment can resurface the skin & get rid of scars. However it would take multiple treatments. A surgeon could also perform Dermabrasion (not to be confused with microdermabrasion).
Avatar n tn I was burned on July 17 after laser hair removal. It later peeled and I was left with white hypopigmentation marks. It has been three months and I have not seen any changes. Please let me know if this is permanent or if there is any treatment for this.
Avatar f tn He also suggested laser hair removal. I am thinking over that. Regarding the allergy and pimples, he has given 2 creams: Clinagel and Acne Med to be applied for 12 days and 1 tablet Azopik (Azithromycin Dihydrate) to be taken for 12 days. He said it will clear out by then. I really hope it does! Whenever i get waxed, i do apply ice cubes and take an anti allergy and this time too i did but i dont know what went wrong.
Avatar f tn However now its 3 months after the oil removal and I seeing flashes and air bubbles. I went to consult and my opthalmologist said the is subretinal fluid causing the peripheral retina to losen and small holes next to the buckle. However he said it is far from the laser scar and he will monitor it. I want to know if its ok because these are not affecting my vision or pressure at all. I am very tired of needles and offs from work. Please advice! Thank you!
Avatar n tn Silicone scar sheets lke this are often used after scar revision surgery to minimize the risk of problem scarring.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know of ways to get rid of the tissue or any natural therapies that will at least make it possible to have sex without extreme pain? Anyone have experience in scar tissue removal surgery? This issue makes me very sad and concerned I will never have an enjoyable sex life. Any advice would be much appreciated!
Avatar f tn m so embarrassed by it. I could shave in the morning and come back home after school and shave again. I started shaving my arms, legs and bikini line around 12 and now it's exhausting and unbearable to keep up with. My skin is also extremely sensitive so every time I shave I get rashes, ingrown hairs and they don't go away. I have scars around my bikini line from shaving. I'm pretty pain resilient, but waxing hurts to the point to where I'm in tears.
Avatar f tn s been to doctors and had laser treatment to reduce the scar tissue but nothing seems to work. Do you think laser hair removal would help? It is extremely painful and embarassing for him & I would like to help find a solution for him. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn I have a scar on my face and I had a scar removal incision done on it to reduce the appearance of the scar about 2-3 years ago. however, it is STILL red and the apperance i believe have gotten worse than it was prior to the surgery. when wil the redness go away?
Avatar f tn I have never had laser hair removal on my upper lip. In my 20s I've shave my upper lip with a razor and now I have melasma 3 years ago. Everything I have read here really touches me because it sounds exactly how am suffering. I've tried doing tons of researched and bought everything everyone pretty much rave on. And like anyone else still suffering. I'm at my last resort, I'm doing thru dual yellow laser treatment from Norseld.
