Laryngitis will not go away

Common Questions and Answers about Laryngitis will not go away

laryngitis

Avatar f tn I just finished taking Azithromycin yesterday for what must of been a bacterial infection of my sinuses and lungs. It started as a cold. The cold went away but I was experiencing shortness of breath and post nasal drip that just wasn't subsiding. I went to two doctors. The first doctor prescribed a corticosteroid nasal spray (Omnaris). This helped a bit for the post nasal drip but wasn't addressing the shortness of breath or chronic cough that wasn't going away on its own.
Avatar n tn However, a side effect of both medications is laryngitis. I recently had laryngitis for 6 weeks. It started as a virus and would not go a way. I decided it was my atrovent neb (an anticholinergic like Spiriva). My allergist thought it was my Dulera (inhaled combination med like Advair). I eliminated the atrovent and reduced my Dulera and the laryngitis healed. She needs to discus any changes in dosage with her doctor before making changes.
Avatar f tn Yes-if you develop warts, there's a chance they will go away on their own, but sometimes treatment is needed. I really wouldn't worry too much unless something pops up. I tested for low-grade HPV for 1 year then everything was normal. Only when I became pregnant did the warts show up (due to extreme cell changes). But sometimes this doesn't happen. Hang in there, and I'm sure you will be just fine!
Avatar n tn Anxiety can be managed but it will not go away without treatment. Please follow the advice of of the first poster to your question - go to a doctor. Anxiety is a very, very common issue and is highly treatable. There is no reason to suffer.

Avatar m tn It could be scar tissue- as far as if it will go away, your doctor is the best place to have it looked at and be able to tell you. If it is scar tissue, they can sometimes break it up other ways then surgery, but it's unique for each situation, so go ahead and ask your doctor to be sure.

Avatar m tn Anxiety will most definitely bring the PVC's on, in fact, most folks, like myself, that have high anxiety, have the darn things. They might subside with anti-anxiety drugs, some they help, others, they do nothing. Oh, by the way, panic attacks can mimic PVC's and PVC's can mimic panic attacks. PVC's can come in many forms, some are the small "blips" as I call them, some come in twos, threes, and some can make you feel like your tummy is dropping.
Avatar f tn Raise the head end of the bed by pillows to 30 degrees. Go to bet at least 2 hours after food. Maybe these tips will help you. You should consult a gastroenterologist (a specialist who looks after the diseases of our digestive system) or a physician for this if these tips reduce your symptoms. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar m tn I used a condom, but there was some naked foreplay. My condom also kept slipping and I am not sure it was on the whole time. The girl has had sex about 25 times, protected and unprotected. For the week after, my penis was tingling and I thought I caught some other STD, but those symptoms went away. 4 weeks and 2 days after sex, I am developing a fever. My throat is somewhat sore, but I have been having a lot of chills and a lot of night sweat.
Avatar m tn It usually fades and then for no reason it comes back and will not go away. It has yet to go away completely. My Dr looked at it during a physical and noticed the discoloration but did not recommend anything. I have tried looking at pictures and this article with the picture found here on medhelp is the closest I have found. I am a circumcised male age 21.
Avatar f tn I have a vaginal yeast infection that WILL NOT go away. I am not sexually active. And I do not have hiv or diabetes. I have been treated by quite a few gynecologists. And none of them have been able to help me with this problem. I did some research, and asked around, and found out that I needed to go to an infectious disease doctor.
Avatar f tn How common is vocal hoarseness in MS? Does it go away? My voice has become very hoarse/low in the past few days, which is something I've only experienced once before (after surgery, because that tube was down my throat). Also, I'm having a hard time swallowing liquids, particularly water. No matter how hard I try to swallow correctly, some water feels like it's going down the wrong tube and I start coughing/choking on it.
