Brought her to Dr today. Sure enough she has strep.
Okay, since 1992 I have had lots of throat infections in 1995 I had my tonsils and adanoids removed to help however it never did. And still had aleast 7 throat infections and laryngitis a year but since January this year I have had 20suvere throat infections all with laryngitis.
I was diagnosed with Strep Throat about 2 weeks ago. I went one week taking Amoxicillin 3 times a day. By the next Monday, I was worse. I called my doctor, who changed me to Azithromycin. My laryngitis is better. Most of the sore throat is gone. However, I still have sore swollen glands, and I still have a large white pocket in my throat (Next to my Faucial Pillars). Is this typical? How long should I give it for the white patch and gland stuff to go away?
I started to get my voice back and then I got a severe sore throat and it hurt to swallow and felt like my throat was swollen and it also felt like I had blisters on the back of my throat. My doctor told me to take regular mucinex to help with the pnd and to call back if it didn't get any better. After that was when my throat started hurting really bad. I've had a sore throat for almost 3 weeks now, and the severity fluxuates. And now my nose is very clogged and feels swollen.
t have any symptoms except difficulty in swallowing and discomfort in my throat. I feel like something is struck in my throat 70% of the time. I feel like soar throat if I shout loudly. I am fearing if I would have been infected with HSV1. Will this be Herpes Laryngittis/ pharyngitis? will viral Laryngitis/Pharyngitis get relief from antibiotics as I was feeling well in a day after I took them. Will Herpes Laryngitis/Pharyngitis cause no sores in the mouth, tounge or lips?
I have since developed sort of bumps or nodules in the back of my throat which seem odd to me. I have had strep multiple times and usually develop more the classic white spots, this is different.
I have had 2 new sexual partners lately (in the last 5 weeks) and am wondering if this is possibly related to something transmissible in that way. Does this look like Herpes Esophagitis or something along those lines? Or is this merely inflammation from general illness? Something else?
Three weeks after, I had a panic attack and ended up at the emergency where the Dr, did a swap for Strep throat- which was negative. Then sent me to an ENT specialist. Who stated I have acute laryngitis. I have had a sore throat now going on 4 weeks... So paranoid checked and saw that laryngitis is a symptom of HIV? So I ended up in the emergency again.
I have no other symptoms asides from this..,
Can you please help and let me know what are the chances of my test turning positive?
The only problem is that I keep coming down with either strep throat, pharyngitis, laryngitis or the h flu every other month. I just recently came down with strep throat again and I'm wondering if there is anything that I can to to prevent getting sick. It as if I get it as soon as someone with as much as a cold walks by! Help! I'm tired of being sick and I know that being on antibiotics this much is not good!
No one that has been around me has gotten a sore throat so it makes me feel like it is not strep throat. I want to go to the doctor if it's necessary but I keep waiting to ride it out and hope it goes away so I don't have to pay for a medical bill. Is it common to have a sore throat for so long without having something more seriously wrong?
A couple of weeks ago I realized that i was having trouble hitting higher pitches when I was talking. It also feels like theirs something in my throat. I cant sing anymore except in a lower tone without going up. I find my self running short on breath as I talk at times. Im not in pain, just curious about whats going one.
Back in May I got strep throat. I ended up getting it a total of 4 times over a 10week period. I don't know if I had become immune to all amoxicillon or not, but it finally went away mid-July. Then 1.5weeks later I had a flare up of what I thought was strep(fever, red throat, puss & canker sores). My doctor sent me to an ENT who left it up to me if I want to have my tonsils removed or just monitor it through the winter months. My tonsils are still swollen, but no sore throat.
t getting sick as often until about 3 weeks ago I started to get a cold that turned into what I thought was laryngitis pretty much right away. Now I have been without a voice for almost 3 weeks. It hurts to try and talk and my throat feels really swollen. It also feels like my neck is bruised on the left side. It is really sensitive to touch. I finally went to the doctor and they thought for sure that it was thyroiditis so ran all the tests for that.
When using inhaled corticosteroids, some of the drug may deposit in your mouth and throat and cause laryngitis. This can cause coughing, hoarseness, dry mouth and sore throat. Gargling and rinsing the mouth after each puff on your corticosteroid inhaler, may help to prevent mouth and throat irritation.

s from an infection then you need to try to flush that infection out. I will get laryngitis also from constantly trying to clear my throat as well.
Not sure of your situation but I hope it clears soon cuz I know it can be brutal!!
But drinking lot of fluids, sucking lozenges, gargle with salt water, breathing moist air to soothe sore throat, refraining from taking decongestants (because they dry your throat), resting your larynx will help you. Antibiotics and anti inflammatory against prescription will help you. I suggest you to consult ENT specialist. Take care and regards.
It could be due to varied causes like upper respiratory tract infection like laryngitis or pharyingitis, head and neck cancer, oral cancer, reflux laryngitis in people who have acidity and GERD, muscle abnormality, voice box abnormality, polyps, tumors or weakness of voice box etc.

the docter said ive poped a blood vessel in my throat, now ive lost my voice, why is this?
I had a bad cold and then got laryngitis. That lasted 3 weeks and then the 4th week my voice came back but still hoarse. I have pain on my left side of my neck and tenderness on that side when I swallow. Dr checked me out and said throat is not red and gave me pills for acid reflux. It's been 4 days and don't think its acid reflux....voice and neck still the same. Anyone know what it could be ??

For the past two months, I get a feeling of a lump in my throat that comes and goes. It first appeared after taking antibiotics for a strep throat. It felt like there was a golf ball in my throat for 3 days. Then it went away. But every few days it would come back. Now it seems to come and go. It could be really bad for a few hours then it might not bother me for a day or two. It seems like if I take my mind off it by something distracting, it completely disappears.
feeling run down, as well as having a Loss of Appetite Sounds like Strep Throat or Mono, but did you have a Sore Throat or Fever at any point?? Taking Antibiotics, like Penicillin/Amoxicillin would've Helped if it was Strep, & IF it was Strep w/in 24hrs of starting Antibiotics you're no longer Confessors. I actually just learned all about Strep, bc about 1.
