I recovered from it just 1 month before. Till then I am suffering from minor laryngitis. I never had fever in the mean time. My questions: How accurate 43 days EIA antibody test result? Long lasting Laryngitis for such a long period, is it a symptom of ARS? After completing 90 days mark I will go for another HIV test. But before that your answer will be required to keep me relax.
I have had coughing simultaneously or after discovering the fever. Is the nocturnal cough (possibly due to laryngitis) the cause of the fever? Mucus is collecting behind my vocal cords. It causes coughing at night. In the evening I use asthma medication, but I do not have asthma. Could cortisone inhalation (Alvesco) in the evening cause nocturnal fever several hours later? In the morning and daytime my temperature is normal (I had some fever over a week ago).
Also, during the last three months I have come down with laryngitis but have not been running any fever. Is fever a requisite in the seroconversion reaction? THanks very much for your help.
For the week after, my penis was tingling and I thought I caught some other STD, but those symptoms went away. 4 weeks and 2 days after sex, I am developing a fever. My throat is somewhat sore, but I have been having a lot of chills and a lot of night sweat. I am in a foreign country and I will be here for two more weeks. I told my partner to get tested since if she tests negative for HIV, then I surely do not have it. I am very anxious right now and I do not know what to do.
No, but symptoms or lack of will not tell you anything about your HIV status. HIV has no specific symptoms.
No STDs cause such symptoms or low grade fever. And occasional temperatures up to 99.8 are not abnormal. (98.6 is the average human body temperature over the course of a day, not the maximum normal.) 1) Zero to very low risk for all those STDs, except HPV. And to repeat my response about HPV last September: it "...is still likely despite consistent condom use, but happens to everybody anyway and really isn't a significant health risk for men". 2,3) No; see my comments above.
However these would cause other symptoms like fever, running nose, cough etc. Hypothyroidism is often not caught by a simple TSH—you need to do the complete panel—T3, T4, TSH and thyroid antibody. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
your symptoms are not indicative of ars.
I have recurrent cold symptoms during my period. I have noticed the symptoms for about a year but for the last six months they have happened every month around the third day of my period. Symptoms include aching joints, blocked nose and headaches as well as generally feeling awful. Periods are heavy and painful with clotting for about seven-nine days. Cold Symptoms usually last 5-7days.
I'm freaking out. Three weeks post exposure described above - had cold/sick symptoms, light fever with sweats, sinusitis and laryngitis, all perfect ars timing, and followed by this buring urination on the tip and slight clear discharge. Have had UTI in past and was wearing lots of used tight underwear due to location, situation. Thought it was that at the time.
I have been achy, especially in the neck and shoulders and have had flu like symptoms for over a year.Feel like I have a fever but I don't. Been to an allergist but didn't have the food allergy test done. I can't imagine it's something I am eating that is causing this! I had a CT and was told it is not sinusitis. Had every type pf blood work done. Most days it is hard to function. I am at my ends wits and feel I am running out of options and no one can help.
Not everyone feels worse right away, or at all. When I first got sick, I was really sick...fever, severe malaise, laryngitis, complete exhaustion & weakness. But I took some penicillin and started feeling better within a day. I was up and around the second day. After a week, I just felt a little tired. Of course I didn't realize that some of them had survived the antibiotic and gone into hiding. Lately, I am struggling with Babesia.

As soon as I breathed around the soot and dust particles, I contracted the same symptoms, although my laryngitis isn't as severe and I haven't run the fever. Were you exposed to any kind of smoke, or any inhalants that smelled like an electrical fire ?
Talk with your doctor about having the PFTs repeated when you are having symptoms. If your symptoms persist, a CT of the sinuses will help to show if sinusitis is also a problem. Sinusitis is a common cause of the symptoms you describe. Monday- started coughing, dry unproductive cough Tuesday- cough became very intense but still dry, felt like my chest was compressed, headache, unable to take deep breath without coughing fit Wednesday- started getting earaches but no drainage, more dry coughing that left me breathless, chest did NOT feel compressed anymore Thursday- on top of the ear problems and coughing I started getting ALLERGY symptoms (really watery eyes, runny nose, tingly sinuses and nasal cavities), low-grade fever Fr
Symptoms can include a headache or pressure in the area of the sinuses, a stuffy nose, achy teeth, an odor coming from the nose, postnasal drip, cough, sore throat, laryngitis, lightheadedness, constant low fever, and thick, yellow to green nasal drainage. The best way to identify a sinus infection is with a sinus CT scan, although sinus x-rays are a decent alternative. A sinus CT scan will also identify if any of the openings that drain your sinuses are blocked.

If it feels like bronchitis, an upper respiratory infection, that's likely to be viral and not responsive to antibiotics. The more concerning symptoms would be fever & chills but those can be with a viral infection too. Hoarseness is from laryngitis and is cured by not talking Drinking lots of fluids is a good idea If it's getting worse, especially after 10 days or more, go see your doc.
At the same time, I developed laryngitis, an ear ache and sinusitis, which started on the operated side and progressed to encompass my whole head. Pain was more pronounced on the operation side feeling like eye strain emanating from the socket, with an occasional fleeting sharp pain which has slowly reduced. My ENT did a thorough exam and ended up doing a CT and found no infection and ruled out allergies or a cold.
I don't notice any strange color in my stools, skin, or eyes either, but being on the pill (for the first time in mnay years) for the supposed endometriosis is giving me symptoms like a yeast infection. How can I possibly have all of these symptoms when I'm usually a healthy person? I know my body, and something feels wrong. Please, please give me some advice. I'm worried that I might have a serious problem. Thank you!
I couldn't swallow almost because it was so inflamed and painful. After a couple of days my fever and all the other symptoms went away, but the sore throat lingered. Yesterday it went away almost completely. I had just a touch of a sore throat, but it was almost gone to the point where I barely noticed. Today I woke up and my throat was swollen again, and now the area under my tongue is incredibly painful as well.
, my right ear hurts, the right side of my throat hurts). I have laryngitis along with the other symptoms, so my doctor says that she believes the illness to be viral and that she can only treat the symptoms. Well, I am absolutely miserable. The amount of mucous is horrendous and no over the counter medicines are helping. Should I be concerned with the fact that I am this ill again after just having pneumonia? No follow-up x-rays were ever taken. I have had bronchitis twice this year.
Hello, I'm a 27 year old female and I have now had a sore throat for 3 weeks. My symptoms initially began as a cold with chest congestion, extreme throat pain, fatigue, and a fever for the first two days. Almost all of those symptoms went away within one week and now I'm left with the sore throat. I also have post nasal drip so I'm wondering if this is causing the pain. The pain seems to get worse in the evening or in cold temperatures. It hurts to talk also.

For the past year I have experienced a tickling sensation in my chest on and off, especially when breathing cold air, also a tight feeling occassionaly when I walk outside especially in cold air. Most recently, I had cold symptoms, starting with swollen glands, dry cough, lowgrade fever and laryngitis.....
fever 102, cough with some phlegm, chest tightness, lungs clear, laryngitis. My fever is gone, but the dry cough remains with some phlegm. I'm nervous that this will suddenly become worse and I will not be able to breath. What treatment should I be receiving? How can the docs. tell if this is bacterial or viral? What type of doctor should I see? I am a 49 year old female. Also, why do I get this every few months?
