Acute laryngitis caused by allergies, viral infection, chronic laryngitis and laryngoesophageal reflux all can cause hoarseness and voice difficulties. Rare but serious causes producing these symptoms are vocal cord paralysis and vocal cord tumours. Please see your Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor) for an evaluation.
Avatar n tn Now again from last 5 days I started difficulty in breathing and when this happen I become anxious and it affect my work too. Now I am not sure whether it is because of anxiety or any other issue. It starts when I am not anxious, but this symptoms make me anxious and I could not sleep whole night but only try todeep breath and concentrate on it. Can you please suggest whether it is due to anxity or do I have any other health problem?
Avatar n tn I keep having difficulty breathing with dizzy spells, and they are at random. I did a bunch of blood tests and everything came out fine, so I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. I get dizzy, difficulty breathing, sometimes rapid heartbeat, aches, and pains shooting everywhere. I really want to get through this. I'm an 18 year old mommy, and I'm too afraid to even leave the house. What can I do? I can't afford therapy, or more doctor visits.

5914779 tn?1376598638 I went to a chiropractor and had x-rays done, and she tried to explain to me about how subluxations in the Thoracic area can cause difficulty breathing. Has anyone ever had a change by being (carefully) adjusted? She was trying to convince me to use an applicator on my neck. I wasn't too thrilled that she was ignoring my wishes to not have my neck worked on, period. Apparently, my atlas is way out of whack (like, 20 degrees rotated). Is that normal in chiari patients?
Avatar m tn Yesterady when I got back home (live in a tropical country) i started experiencing difficulty breathing, reason why I did not want to eat cause it made it difficult. Todfay still i feel the same way? Could this be any sign of something dangerous? Or, could this be just a type of jet lag, coming from a chilly weather to a hot weather, ot the change in altitude?

Avatar n tn See the pediatrician. Breathing heavily with an audible sound is not something to ignore.
626299 tn?1316707893 I have seen others post that they were having difficulty breathing. In the last week, if I just walk across the room I am panting from trying to catch my breath. My blood was last checked on Feb 25 and my hemglobin was 11. Pre tx was 14 and started Jan 16. I am thinking it may be anemia making it diffuclt to breath? Would it be realistic that my HG has dropped enough to impact my breathing in the last 2 weeks?
626011 tn?1257279765 has anyone experienced minor difficulty breathing as an early sign of pregnancy?
1129774 tn?1279831762 Comment to 'Breathing difficulty' Rasta15, I am a thyroid cancer survivor, but I recall when I was waiting for radioactive iodine treatment and in a severe state of induced hypothyroidism, (TSH=140) I had difficulty catching my breath and felt starved for air. I thought I had lung mets that would surely be found in the treatment scans, but was relieved to discover that low thyroid hormone levels can cause this sensation.

1456780 tn?1310146897 Hi, welcome to forum, the symptom you are having is known as dyspnea (difficulty in breathing). The possibilities are Bronchospasm (bronchial asthma), pulmonary embolism, Pneumothorax and chronic bronchitis (This seen commonly in chronic smokers) and even cardiac causes like Congestive heart failure and Cardiac tamponade can cause breathing problem but seems unlikely. You need to undergo pulmonary function tests like spirometry and ECG to rule out the cause.
Avatar m tn 25yr male. Never had a breathing issue until last year. Did smoke, but quit. Breathing issue came on fast. Just a feeling of not being able to breathe right, not getting enough air, hard to expand chest, pain in between breaths, feels like I am kinda holding my breathe (the feeling I have) no hypervenolation, average breaths per minute about 12-16. Can still run a mile. I do suffer from gerd, have a small hitial hernia.
