The end of March I had a flu that lasted about 9 days. Symptoms came on suddenly from one day to the next, I had headaches for 2 days, sore throat for a couple days, cough, runny nose, limited nausea, a bit of dizziness, no appetite, some diarrhea for 2 days and fatigue for 2 weeks and laryngitis that caused me to lose my voice for a week.

My friend is trying to call the companys to find out if products like clorax bleach, clorox anywhere and Lysol spray and wipes kills the H1N1 virus. Do any of you know if these products do? Also if she is spraying toys with Lysol spray should she rinse the toys before letting the kids play with them?

Okay, since 1992 I have had lots of throat infections in 1995 I had my tonsils and adanoids removed to help however it never did. And still had aleast 7 throat infections and laryngitis a year but since January this year I have had 20suvere throat infections all with laryngitis.

I keep losing my voice and I have seen an ENT (vocal chords red and swollen) and asthma doctor. Concluded that I have asthma but very mild put on Symbicort. This has happened about 9 times since last July. Last anywhere from 3-4 weeks. This time I have been fighting it for 4 weeks.

However, a side effect of both medications is laryngitis. I recently had laryngitis for 6 weeks. It started as a virus and would not go a way. I decided it was my atrovent neb (an anticholinergic like Spiriva). My allergist thought it was my Dulera (inhaled combination med like Advair). I eliminated the atrovent and reduced my Dulera and the laryngitis healed. She needs to discus any changes in dosage with her doctor before making changes.

I went to the doctor for the laryngtitis and the doctor said they are effectively treating the laryngitis cases with z-packs and it worked for me. My boss just had the same thing and she was also prescribed the z-pack, so there must be something to it, at least helping to waylay any secondary infections. She did say they would normally let it run its course of about 7 days but there was advantages to using antibiotics. Neither the laryngitis or the norovirus are the influenza....

Soooo, I ended up taking DS to the peds office yesterday. He's had a cough since Sunday and it had gotten a little worse. I think, no biggie...My MIL called and said her boyfriend who got really sick about 2wks ago just got a call from the health dept. saying he tested +ive for whooping cough! Thankfully we got the results back already and DS is negative for it.

ll probably not get Season vaccine since the vast majority is currently H1N1 and Seasonal vaccine is hard to find now. But, we will go for the H1N1 vaccine when available. As Viaduk says, we will avoid the nasal stuff and wait for the injectable. My son (on campus will for sure get it, probably sooner). The rest of the family is lower risk so we may be waiting a while.

have a new dr that i will see next week. my voice has change I get hoarse after I talk a lot. I just got over ON and my eye dr thought I had glaucoma? I had a lot of pain in my eye. he took me next door and put 5 holes in my eye to releases the pressure . it was better? but he still cant give me a answer to what it is. I had ON in 09 and it was the same thing I told him that.but he still had no answer? well its still a little blurry but its a lot better. it lasted a lot longer.

It is now two weeks later and she is still in exquiste pain and on multipe meds. She has had an MRI of her brachial plexus and C-spine and all were normal. She now has pain referred down to her lateral forearm and thumb that is 10/10. I had expected to see some relief by now but there appears to be no end in site to the unremitting pain. She is a Cardiologist and now is developing mild weakness in the hand and can no longer Cath.

to all HI there iam from Edmundston NB i no up hear they where telling people to take the H1N1 vaccin so i got my kids needle and found out 2 months after the that the H1N1 flu was not even ture the labs got mix up and there is no H1N1 flu its just the ful going around

The one I got was flu and h1n1, and then at my last appointment I got the tdap. I would recommend it, because you don't want your baby getting sick before they have a chance to start getting vaccinated. My daughter didn't get the tdap and neither did my sister, because theirs are still good, but my mom did get hers and everybody got the flu/h1n1 shot.

I had the H1N1 vaccine 6 weeks ago and since that time I have been experiencing intermittent tingling and 'power surges' in both my legs. This has not gone away and now the duration is longer. Also, exercising aggravates the problem even more. The doctors are saying that this has nothing to do with the vaccine however, I too have NEVER experienced such symptoms before receiving H1N1.
