I can only tell you that when you have green sputum it is some sort of upper respiratory infection or sinus infection. Either green or yellow. Sometimes there are no symptoms until much later. I don't know about the stains on your teeth. It must really be green. If you go to a doctor they will put you on an antibiotic.
I've been coughing up sputum for a couple of weeks it's thick slimy and gross I can feel it in the back of my throat. It will range in color it rangesfrom brown to light green sometimes the green is speckled with brown I took some pictures of it my mouth is dry other than that there's nothing wrong with me no fever when I checked it thermometer acts and pains. I need this stuff to stop.
I've been suffering for the past 10 months with cold and green sputum and i was given antibiotics 4 times so far and its always recurrent, a month ago this happend agin but i only have taken claritin anti allerigic drug and did not use Airconditioner and it took care of it and didn't have to use antibiotics.
Sputum culture negativity must be interpreted in the context of how the sputum was cultured and the microbiological quality of the laboratory doing the testing.

It is getting better very slowly. Now I have a post nasal drip and I am coughing up greenish/yellowish sputum but it's from the back of my throat not my lungs anymore. I am going to try a nasal rinse today. I was wondering if there is anything else I can do outside of what I am doing already to help relieve some of my symptoms? I have been sick for about 3 weeks and it's draining me. I get little to no sleep because of my coughing.
like a very thick phlegm but i just ignored it and got used to that feeling. 3 weeks ago i had cough and colds then i started to produce light green color with a grayish spots sputum and it is very very thick. But its not always like that, most of the time it is clear. more or less 5 times a day that week. After a week, the cough goes aways but i still produce that kind of phlegm once a day. and just yesterday, i've noticed that there is a very small amount of blood on my sputum.
Hi well firstly this year a lot of people have had prolonged viruses. The green sputum is worrysome.. It is better to get checked by a doctor, if you can because it could be a bacterial infection but usually you have fever and or chest pain orit is hard to breath. My husband had something like this for several months and he went in for something else but had the doctor listen to his lungs and the doctor said it was viral. I guess I would err on the side of caution.

Where are they,in your sputum or mucous? My son is 35 and last year he was coughing up green mucous with blood in it. He was diagnosed with pneumonia. I would definitely call a Dr. or go to an urgent care or the emergency room. Some pneumonias are viral and some are bacterial and some can be contagious. One the second day, my throat was still sore and coughing up green phlegm, but the stiffness and temperature were gone. I did notice that my arms were red and warm but didn't think much of it because it didn't look like the mac. pap. rash associated with ARS. i was also never given a firm diagnosis. it began as an involuntary cough which produced thick sputum which varied between yellow and green, it progressed slowly and was not accompanied by fever. as it worsened i woke nightly from coughing, generally 3-4 times per night. the sputum from the lungs was never bloody. the cough was slightly painful, i never felt any sharp pains or rattling in my lungs. at 3 weeks i had a (clear) chest xray. after approx.

Hi, welcome to the forum, your symptoms suggests involvement of lungs and pathologcal changes. There may be underlying bronchial asthma or chronic bronchitis. Chronic bronchitis usually presents with sputum (mucus), symptoms can be worsened by chest infections. Esp. seen in smoker.
Other possibilities are central airway obstruction, parenchymal pulmonary disease, gastro esophageal reflux etc.
Hi, welcome to the forum, there may be acute bronchitis with or without laryngitis. Acute bronchitis usually presents with sputum (mucus), coughing and can also present with wheezing esp. when the small bronchioles are involved. Associated gastro esophageal reflex disease can worsen the condition.
You need to send the mucus or throat swab for culture, microscopy, staining to rule out the pathogen.
