Avatar n tn my 6 year old is throwing up (sometime projectile) and complains of pain in his stomach for 4 days. Eating BRAT diet but still throws up. No food particles coming up - only fluid that is green and cloudy. Once he throws up, he is fine. Have him on 15 mg. Lansoprazole. No fever, stool is normal (no diarhea).
Avatar m tn I have had a lot of aching in my right leg which I am not sure is related but it seems to have coincided with the introduction of Lansoprazole into my life. What is going on? Too much PPI? I thought that it was supposed to prevent heartburn/reflux. Diet: My diet up to the point of diagnosis way back in February was a horrid mess of fast food and treats, since I only weighed around 142lbs at 6ft tall, I figured it was fine. Since the diagnosis way back when I have been eating quite healthy.

Avatar f tn She has reflux and has been on lansoprazole solutabs. Prior to the medicine she would choke and gag on food. Now she will only take 1-2 bites of stage 3 baby food or pasta then closes her mouth and refuses anymore. She eats only 1 stage 2 baby food a day, and usually doesn't finish it. She just doesn't seem intereted in food. She also will not put anything in her own mouth. She is 27 inches and weighs 22 lbs.
Avatar m tn First, I've been to the doctor and they prescribed Nexium, because of my stomach acidity. I used to wake up in the middle of the night choking because of the acid reflux was so bad. I raised my pillows and have alleviated this issue. That being said, after a regular meal, my stomach is extremely full (today it was just soup and two Grands biscuits) and it feels like I have to throw up. Sometimes I'll start coughing because of this and actually throw up.
Avatar m tn I'm 25 years old, Male. I used to smoke for 10 years around 10 per day, and used to drink fairly heavily during my college days. I quit smoking around 1 month ago. For several weeks now I've been feeling generally quite unwell, tired and feverish. Some times are worse than others. I have been experiencing all kinds of symptoms. Every now and again, roughly once a week, I will produce some blood either from a small cough or from clearing my throat.
Avatar n tn I've been dealing with gerd issues for the last half year. Colonoscopy and endoscopy were negative. I did do a series of rolling barium stomach xray which did show my stomach was on a roller coaster ride. I've been on most of the meds for gerd, from Zantac to Nexium to Lansoprazole to Pantoprazole. In December I started to develope numbness in my left foot and right hand. (Last night I noticed my left anke was swollen.
Avatar f tn I have been using PPI medication Omeprazole until early this year where I got switched to Lansoprazole which I also got diagnosed with silent reflux (LPR) due to loosing my voice. I also take Gaviscon Advanced 3-4 times a day for the acid and heartburn. My lifestyle changed due to these diagnoses I eat more healthily and exercise more to try and keep the weight healthy. I am to have my three year check up due to the Barrett's of the Oesophagus.
6499035 tn?1381860124 I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis about a year ago, after having lived with the symptoms of that for the last couple of years at times, have been on meds for that ever since the diagnosis, its been under control :) Anyway my doctor put me on some tablets called Lansoprazole, they were to reduce the acid in my tummy I believe, & my doctor told me just to try and eat more. I had those tablets for a month, one a day an hour before eating.
Avatar n tn i woke up in the middle of the night with a sick tatse in my mouth and a pain in my throught what could this be
Avatar m tn Went back to the doctor, who told me I probably wouldnt want an endoscopy and put my on LANSOPRAZOLE to block acid. I still get these weird spasms. I'm kind of troubled they didnt bother to do an endoscopy. Could this be a serious problem, should I change doctors? He did take a chest xray of the gas in my body and said it all looked normal ( no odd shapes ) uhmm I guess he is the best doctor in town.
Avatar f tn Your cousin would need a combination of medications (under medical supervision) like a proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole, lansoprazole or pantoprazole empty stomach in the morning and an antacid gel after meals for complete relief. Possibility of H pylori infection too should be looked into by a carbon urea breath test and a combination antibiotic tried. Many a times a persisting H pylori infection can be the cause behind acidity not responding to treatment.
Avatar f tn Hi there, Lansoprazole interferes with the absorption of vitamin B12 from food .There could be a fall in vitamin B12 status due to decreased stomach acid. It is important to confirm that you are suffering from vitamin B12 defficiency. After conducting a thorough history and physical examination a complete blood count, peripheral blood smear, and serum cobalamin may be done as part of initial laboratory assessment.
Avatar f tn I'm 99% sure I have LPR just waiting on a barium x ray and endoscopy. Started a few years ago as a little esophageal inflammation. Two years ago I started to get laryngitis alot.
Avatar m tn Went to the doctors and was diagnosed with gastritis, i got given lansoprazole 30mg. This began to work quite quickly and within a week or two i felt somewhat better, however i noticed i was having severe near sickening nausea and what i later found out to be panic attacks while out. I returned to the doctors and was told it was anxiety, simply knowing what it was i found myself able to overcome it mostly, after this was almost back to normal and continued taking my medication.

Avatar f tn If you're having a lot of pain in that area, you need your doc to investigate further. Many people continue to experience 'gone GB' problems. You can form sludge and stones even without a GB and you can also have changes that occur in the biliary system that can result in discomfort. Ask your doc to give you a script to have liver and pancreatic enzyme levels run within 24 hours of having a bout of several pain.
