Serious lansoprazole side effects

m 5ft 7. I have been taking the Proton Pump Inhibitor Drug Lansoprazole for my Hiatus Hernia/Acid Reflux for roughly 3 years now. I started with 30mg per day and the past year I had to up my dose to 60mg per day due to my severe acid reflux.
For the past 12 months I have been experiencing what can only be described as Fatigue, brain fog and exhaustion. It is the type that isn't helped by sleep, rest, or even suggested by my doctor, excercise. Infact the latter only makes it 10x worse.
It is continual, all the time until I go to sleep and starts again as soon as I wake up. I have seen my GP who prescribed Omeprazole and the Lansoprazole but neither made any difference at all. I was referred to a Gastroenterologist and last week I had an upper digestive track gastroscopy which was normal and showed nothing untoward. This leaves me thinking this may be a psychological / nervous tick type issue. Can someone recommend any organisations, anything that night help?
Anyway, a month later, (yesterday) I was prescribed lansoprazole but I have done some research and it says lansoprazole can cause kidney failure. Should I take these tablets or wait till Friday and get a second opinion from the hospital on my assessment?
Then the symptom was streaks of blood but not mouthful of blood. I was on lansoprazole then. My x-ray, blood test, ECG and stools check in end of May 2013 were normal. The specialist has also checked my nose and throat in mid June 2013 and found normal. I was given omeprazole and taking 1 capsule twice a day since end May till now. No endoscopy was done this time as the doctor believe it is due to GERD. However, I am still spitting blood on and off.
May I seek your opinion is it due to GERD?
I had 3 operations in the first 5 years without success (it just came back) but a breakthrough came 4 years ago when my ENT specialist put me on lansoprazole, a PPI, believing that it was probably due to acid reflux (although I had no symptoms). The granuloma disappeared over the next 6 months.
However, it sometimes comes back, or at least the symptoms do, every few months, but go again after 2 or 3 weeks. But over the last week or so symptoms have come back with a vengeance.
Ok so here is my issue I weigh 240 lbs absolutely unintentional I cannot lose weight no matter what I consume only about a thousand calories a day not because i starve myself because frankly that is my capacity when a growing male my age needs about 2500. Next I have a very very slow digestive system I have GERD take lansoprazole 30mg twice a day.. After i eat i don't stuff myself I have heaviness and bloating and no amount of exercise can reduce even a pound combined with diet.
pylori after having a breath test done, and have been prescribed by my doctor - lansoprazole 30 mg - metronidazole 400 mg - amoxicillin 500 mg. All three medacation taken twice a day for a 7 day course.I am now into the 5 th day of taking them.There seems to be no side effects, the problems of bloating,discomfort (painfull at times) that comes and goes througout the day,has not eased at all.
If these combanation of tablets were going to work,would my symptons have eased by now ?.
Also, with all the bleeding, your ferritin (stored iron) and possibly your blood iron stores as well may be too low and you may be needing to take iron supplementation. Please spend the money after researching to find the best GI doctor in your area. They may be willing to work with you on the money issue.
m back on Ranitidine as the side affects of Lansoprazole were unpleasant and just as bad or worse as the GERD. When I stopped taking Lansoprazole I had bad symptoms for a few days but they subsided. However since then my Acid Reflux / GERD has been more or less what it was before starting Lansoprazole. Some days its worse than others.
I've also read about the negative side effects of PPI drugs.
My doc prescribed me Lansoprazole gastro resistant as there has been blood in my vomit recently. Has anyone taken it or know anything about it?
ve been to see the doctor and they have put me on lansoprazole temporarily to see if this makes any changes but I've been on these for 2-3 weeks and still no difference. The bloating is fairly constant and I feel like my stomach hasn't been completely flat since it started but it is particularly bad after eating (no matter the size portion) to the point where I feel and look pregnant and I can't wear my jeans.
I was diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer back in February 2010.
History:
Prior to the diagnosis I had felt a strange pressure in my stomach occasionally which started around October 2009. I probably should have gone to the doctor when I was feeling the swelling/pressure but I thought it was just from being cramped into the Miata I had just purchased. I bought the car because some guy ran a red light and hit my previous car.
So she went to the doctors and prescribed Lansoprazole. About a week and a half after the Lansoprazole was prescribed she started to shake. And for about a half a week now its been getting worse and worse. Now she is also having trouble seeing, and is experiencing ear ache's and headaches. While she is still shaking. What could be the issue?
Paediatric i'm afraid! I have a 7 month old, who has delayed gastric emptying (t1/2 180) and was on lansoprazole, she developed faltering growth - from 6 wks slid down growth charts.
Went back to the doctor, who told me I probably wouldnt want an endoscopy and put my on LANSOPRAZOLE to block acid. I still get these weird spasms. I'm kind of troubled they didnt bother to do an endoscopy. Could this be a serious problem, should I change doctors? He did take a chest xray of the gas in my body and said it all looked normal ( no odd shapes ) uhmm I guess he is the best doctor in town.
I went to the doctor who imedietly suggested it could be an ulcer and prescribed me 30mg Lansoprazole, which I took for and immediately this sensation vanished no matter what I ate.
they say its indigestion but i am on lansoprazole which by the way i have never had indigestion the way they describe it. the pain in my chest goes all the way to my arm, jaw and even my throat.if all the tests are saying my heart is ok then what could it be.. i am not stressed or anxiuos by the way as i have a very loving a supportive family system and husband... what could it be.. please help

Has doubled the dose of Lansoprazole which has not made too much difference really. I have completely adjusted my diet having bought fantastic book "Dropping Acid - The Reflux Diet Cookbook & Cure". The coughing is less severe and I am not doing the sleep apnea thing now, which is an improvement. Throat is less sore and have been drinking aloe vera. However, am now experiencing constant tight chest; sudden head pains, extreme tiredness; dizziness & hot spells.
hi started burping constantly since may 2007 dont know what to do? Been on lansoprazole for 3 months but no change. what shall i do?? Please help!
I have been taking motilium, which has the active ingredient domperidone maleate, but this is very expensive and works sporadically at best. I have also been taking the ppi lansoprazole for the heartburn.
