Avatar f tn This could be so many things. It could be anything from viral to gallstones, IBS, Gerd etc. Go to the doctor if this continues. Have you had your routine check ups. Word of advice dont stop trying until you get answers!
Avatar f tn You will need to take a combination of medications (under medical supervision) like a proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole, lansoprazole or pantoprazole empty stomach in the morning and an antacid gel after meals for complete relief. Possibility of H pylori infection too should be looked into by a carbon urea breath test and a combination antibiotic tried. Many a times a persisting H pylori infection can be the cause behind acidity not responding to treatment.
Avatar m tn I have jaundice and was found to have a high bilirubin count. I was checked for gallstones and have none. I had an endoscopy and they found my stomach was midly inflamed. I can't sleep well anymore which gives me headaches. My hands are constanly shaking and I keep having tests and nothing has come up. I barely passed my second year of uni and i want to get better before my 3rd year starts. This is a nightmare.
Avatar f tn If she takes an antacid (tums, prilosec etc...) does it go away? It could be indigestion, it could be gallbladder/gallstones. Does she have a family history of heart problems? You don't have to smoke or drink to have a heart attack. Family history plays a big part. I hope everything goes well but tell her not to let it go for too long because heart damage can be repaired with medication.

Avatar f tn Another attack occured seeing me give in and go to the emergency Doctor and sent away with Lansoprazole and codine. Two days later I was in A and E due to another agonising bout of pain. I had a pregnancy test-negative, blood tests-normal and sent home yet again. The most recent attack happened about 8 weeks ago, I woke in incredible pain was vomitting and had diarrhea.
Avatar m tn ve never had any tests done but believe I need to be checked for diabetes, gallstones of gall bladder infections, stroke, silent heart attacks, anemia, and hypoglycemia. I go to bed every night wondering if I'll wake up. I don't truly believe I'm going to die in my sleep but the thought always crosses my mind. I spend a lot of my waking time worrying about my health and often cloister myself off from my friends.
484897 tn?1210309174 For the past 3 1/2 weeks I have been waking up every morning very nauseated. I have to lay or sit for a few hours, and drink some 7up and/or baking soda water so I burp until my stomach isn't so queasy that I can walk around. Even when the nausea seems to go away, I have a constant stomach ache, feeling very full and bloated. I first got sick the evening of 3/27, and the first week was the worst, went to see a doctor at the urgent care on 4/2, my bilirubin was at 7.
Avatar m tn I had 3 operations in the first 5 years without success (it just came back) but a breakthrough came 4 years ago when my ENT specialist put me on lansoprazole, a PPI, believing that it was probably due to acid reflux (although I had no symptoms). The granuloma disappeared over the next 6 months. However, it sometimes comes back, or at least the symptoms do, every few months, but go again after 2 or 3 weeks. But over the last week or so symptoms have come back with a vengeance.
Avatar m tn pylori after having a breath test done, and have been prescribed by my doctor - lansoprazole 30 mg - metronidazole 400 mg - amoxicillin 500 mg. All three medacation taken twice a day for a 7 day course.I am now into the 5 th day of taking them. There seems to be no side effects, the problems of bloating, discomfort (painfull at times) that comes and goes througout the day,has not eased at all. If these combanation of tablets were going to work, would my symptons have eased by now ?.
Avatar m tn m back on Ranitidine as the side affects of Lansoprazole were unpleasant and just as bad or worse as the GERD. When I stopped taking Lansoprazole I had bad symptoms for a few days but they subsided. However since then my Acid Reflux / GERD has been more or less what it was before starting Lansoprazole. Some days its worse than others. I've also read about the negative side effects of PPI drugs.
Avatar f tn My doc prescribed me Lansoprazole gastro resistant as there has been blood in my vomit recently. Has anyone taken it or know anything about it?
Avatar f tn m a 25 year old female who has had nausea for 2 1/2 years and had my stomach tested, had a laproscopy, as well as been checked for gallstones, acid reflux and had an endoscopy. All in which came up clean. I have nausea at all times of the day food type does not affect how sick I get. The sickness shows up approximately 10 minutes after I eat and will last anywhere from a half hour to two or three hours after eating.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer back in February 2010. History: Prior to the diagnosis I had felt a strange pressure in my stomach occasionally which started around October 2009. I probably should have gone to the doctor when I was feeling the swelling/pressure but I thought it was just from being cramped into the Miata I had just purchased. I bought the car because some guy ran a red light and hit my previous car.
605877 tn?1301700646 I was put on Lansoprazole on 26 Nov and my doctor put me on 30mg for a week and then said to reduce it to 15mg which i have done and taken for the last 2 weeks. however on Wednesday i missed a tablet and took it Thursday morning and carried on with my usual practise of taking my 15mg in the evening as prescribed by my doctor.

Avatar f tn Just wondering if anyone else had experienced gallstones when pregnant. Im 37 weeks and have been experiencing severe pain under my right rib for the last 3 weeks. My OB sent me for an abdominal ultrasound yesterday and has just phoned to say that they found several small stones.
Avatar f tn I was recently diagnosed with gallstones. I have 3 small ones. I had my first and only attack a few weeks ago. I have been referred to a surgeon who wants to remove my gall bladder. Are there any alternatives, I.e. homes remedies, supplements, medication, etc. do I have to have surgery now? I hear so many side effects and possible higher risks to colon cancer due the surgery. Is that true? What about changing my diet before removing the gallbladder?
Avatar f tn Has anyone else been told they have gallstones during pregnancy? If so what are some remedies to coop with the pain!?
