Avatar f tn Hi I'm a 25 year old female who has had nausea for 2 1/2 years and had my stomach tested, had a laproscopy, as well as been checked for gallstones, acid reflux and had an endoscopy. All in which came up clean. I have nausea at all times of the day food type does not affect how sick I get. The sickness shows up approximately 10 minutes after I eat and will last anywhere from a half hour to two or three hours after eating.
Avatar n tn s Wort also or Valerian for the anxiety. I am sorry that things are so bad for you right now. I hope and pray that you feel better soon. Saltine crackers usually help my nausea - because of the baking soda they contain. Please make sure you drink enough water so you don't get dehydrated. Again, I am so sorry you are so ill.
Avatar f tn I have consulted may doctors and currently take lansoprazole (Prevacid). The vomiting and nausea continues no matter what I eat, how much, or how little. I honestly have no idea what to do anymore. I'm considering an endoscopy but do not really want to go through that if it is not necessary - which I do not believe it is. Any idea what this may be? Blood results show that everything is normal.
Avatar m tn I went to the doctor who imedietly suggested it could be an ulcer and prescribed me 30mg Lansoprazole, which I took for and immediately this sensation vanished no matter what I ate.

Avatar f tn I have been experiencing on and off chronic nausea for about 4 years. I had a chiari decompression surgery when i was 13, and since then i have been experiencing the chronic nausea. I experience heartburn sometimes with it, but mainly i feel like i need to throw up, but i never do. I am currently taking Zofran, and anti nausea and anti emetic drug, and Prilosec, a heartburn medication. Sometimes these medications help, but not always.

Avatar f tn I saw my doctor who tested me for h.pylori (negative) and started me on a PPI (lansoprazole), which did seem to help for a while; although I would have episodes of nausea, I did not actually vomit as often. After a while the episodes of nausea became more frequent and I noticed I often would develop a terrible headache after being nauseated.
605877 tn?1301700646 After no medicine for a month (was on lansoprazole) I have in the past week felt very very nauseous. Is AXID specifically for nausea or should I be on something else? In addition my bowel movement are in pieces, although usually all together they break very easily and are covered in a orange clear mucus. Is this related? This has been going on for 4 months. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Avatar f tn Is loss of appetite a common symptom of GERD. I have recently been put on Lansoprazole by my GP as a first step towards diagnosis of possible GERD (all my simptoms fit); however, it is not the medication that is causing my loss of appetite because this is one of the first things I noticed a few weeks ago, along with the other symptoms. It is unusual for me to lose my appetite. I am feeling hungry later on in the afternoon but am eating nowhere near what I used to.
Avatar f tn Thank you for answering!
Avatar f tn I have been having GI problems for about a yr, lots of gas, nausea, indigestion, epigastric ache at times, just left of center. Starts within an hr or so of eating. No right sided pain or discomfort. Ultrasound negative for stones, normal upper and lower endoscopy, meds for IBS do not work. Currently taking Lansoprazole for reflux, but does not help much. No diarrhea, maybe some constipation. Got worse over past yr. Fatty meals do seem to make things a bit worse.

Avatar f tn Hi, mirtazapine can itself cause nausea. For the ulcer or gastritis to heal he needs to follow lifestyle measures in addition to the medications. This is to help heal and for the ulcer to not recur. He should avoid NSAIDs, quit smoking, eliminate alcohol, avoid caffeinated beverages and reduce stress levels. These measures need to be practiced long term for results. Regards.
Avatar m tn Things that tend to make me feel a liitle bit better is taking zofran for the nausea. Drinking gingerale. And most importantly I get a washcloth put ice in it and put the cold cloth around my mouth head and neck. For some reson the cold helps tremendously with the nausea. I hope you feel better and if the doc's ever find out whats wrong with you please let us know....
Avatar m tn For 10 years on and off I have had a granuloma on the larynx. Symptoms include tightness in the voice box, stabbing pain on speaking, and hoarseness. This had a bad effect socially and at work, when I would keep a low profile and reduce the occasions when I would need to talk.
