I was put on omeprazole and was taking that for a few months. I later fell pregnant but the morning sickness triggered of the reflux so I was changed to lanoprazole. I am aware it is a class b drug and not advised during pregnancy. I am easing myself down to 15mg a day rather then30mg as my acid flare ups are now few and far between, they also don't last the 24+hours that they used to.
She has reflux and has been on lansoprazole solutabs. Prior to the medicine she would choke and gag on food. Now she will only take 1-2 bites of stage 3 baby food or pasta then closes her mouth and refuses anymore. She eats only 1 stage 2 baby food a day, and usually doesn't finish it. She just doesn't seem intereted in food. She also will not put anything in her own mouth. She is 27 inches and weighs 22 lbs.
Anyway, a month later, (yesterday) I was prescribed lansoprazole but I have done some research and it says lansoprazole can cause kidney failure. Should I take these tablets or wait till Friday and get a second opinion from the hospital on my assessment?

pylori after having a breath test done, and have been prescribed by my doctor - lansoprazole 30 mg - metronidazole 400 mg - amoxicillin 500 mg. All three medacation taken twice a day for a 7 day course.I am now into the 5 th day of taking them.There seems to be no side effects, the problems of bloating,discomfort (painfull at times) that comes and goes througout the day,has not eased at all.
If these combanation of tablets were going to work,would my symptons have eased by now ?.
My doc prescribed me Lansoprazole gastro resistant as there has been blood in my vomit recently. Has anyone taken it or know anything about it?
m back on Ranitidine as the side affects of Lansoprazole were unpleasant and just as bad or worse as the GERD. When I stopped taking Lansoprazole I had bad symptoms for a few days but they subsided. However since then my Acid Reflux / GERD has been more or less what it was before starting Lansoprazole. Some days its worse than others.
I've also read about the negative side effects of PPI drugs.
I was diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer back in February 2010.
History:
Prior to the diagnosis I had felt a strange pressure in my stomach occasionally which started around October 2009. I probably should have gone to the doctor when I was feeling the swelling/pressure but I thought it was just from being cramped into the Miata I had just purchased. I bought the car because some guy ran a red light and hit my previous car.
So she went to the doctors and prescribed Lansoprazole. About a week and a half after the Lansoprazole was prescribed she started to shake. And for about a half a week now its been getting worse and worse. Now she is also having trouble seeing, and is experiencing ear ache's and headaches. While she is still shaking. What could be the issue?
Paediatric i'm afraid! I have a 7 month old, who has delayed gastric emptying (t1/2 180) and was on lansoprazole, she developed faltering growth - from 6 wks slid down growth charts.
I went to the doctor who imedietly suggested it could be an ulcer and prescribed me 30mg Lansoprazole, which I took for and immediately this sensation vanished no matter what I ate.

As I mentioned in my prior response, Bronchiectasis should be high on the list of possibilities, to account for your repetitive lung infections. The diagnosis of standard tuberculosis, related to your exposures years ago, could well be the correct diagnosis.
m 5ft 7. I have been taking the Proton Pump Inhibitor Drug Lansoprazole for my Hiatus Hernia/Acid Reflux for roughly 3 years now. I started with 30mg per day and the past year I had to up my dose to 60mg per day due to my severe acid reflux.
For the past 12 months I have been experiencing what can only be described as Fatigue, brain fog and exhaustion. It is the type that isn't helped by sleep, rest, or even suggested by my doctor, excercise. Infact the latter only makes it 10x worse.
At the beginning of Dec 11 I developed a really nasty cough. It became worse at night with me coughing so hard it made me vomit, my eyes & nose streaming at the same time. I would draw in a breath before coughing making a horrible noise - people who heard me said it sounded like whooping cough. I was feeling very unwell and not eating very much. After about 3 weeks this severe cough subsided a little but then I started to have these strange spasms in my throat at night.

Saltine crackers usually help my nausea - because of the baking soda they contain. Please make sure you drink enough water so you don't get dehydrated. Again, I am so sorry you are so ill.
The doctor said that because his prescription is so severe, he wants him to wear the glasses all the time and to cover his good eye with a patch for 8 hours a day for a year and half at least, which it bothers him tremendously. Any other suggestion in this matter?
How do I get my son to wear the patch? and do you think it is too early for an astigmatism to be detected? Will his vision benefit from the glasses and the patch? Any advice on how to get him used to them?
