lamictal and low blood pressure

Im currently taking lamictal and my level is 8.6 is this to high or to low? Im currently taking 200mg twice a day.

I am 31 and been on bipolar meds for 15 years now on cymbalta and topamax but they are causing my blood pressure to drop to low anyone know of any other meds that may help cant take depokate or lithium allergic thanks for the help

I was diagnosed with BP II with more noticeable depression as well. I'm actually on a combo of Wellbutrin/Abilfy and it's the PERFECT combo for me. I was on lamictal and it made me crazy and had awful side effects. I've never taken Prozac or Lithium, as I've found a combo that works for me. I take 250mg Wellbutrin twice a day and 15mg of Abilify. I also take an anti-anxiety med and sleeping pills as needed.

I have low blood pressure and my cholesterol levels are slightly over the normal range.

When I was on Lamictal and Seroquel, my psychiatrist stopped it due to leukopenia (low white blood cells). Now again with new meds (zyprexa and citalopram) I have leukopenia.

With such a low blood pressure, they may have to consider adding a mineralcorticosteroid - aka florinef (that brand is not longer available but that is what everyone calls it) so that you can hold on to sodium better and keep your blood pressure up and feel better. Make sure that if you get it that you taper on to it - you may only take a tiny bit but it is a powerful medication and can make you puffy (or give you what we call the florinef fluffies - you can gain water weight on it).

Today I had to call an amulance as my resting pulse shot up to 140bpm and my blood pressure went up to 166/90. I thought I was going to die. As well, my lymph nodes are swollen and a bleeding rash has started to form on my hand. Because of both of these events I disposed of all the medications. If the rash doesn't subside then I'll go to the emergency room tomorrow. My question is this: Will I be okay with the sudden discontinuation of all these meds having taken them for a single week?

i went to the doctor and they said everything was fine my heart was fine, and they checked my thyroid and i havent got the results back for that yet they said my pulse was high it was 135 and it is usually 90bmp so idk whats going on with my pulse and idk why my blood pressure got so low... and i usually type in big letters..

You should try to ask a doctor why he thinks your blood pressure is so low. Ask about your thyroid. Hypothyroid can cause low blood pressure among other things. Weight loss could cause your pressure to lower. Get yourself a home monitoring pressure device and take it daily in the morning and evening and adjust your diet accordingly. It sure has helped me.

anything below 90/60 is considered low. I have low blood pressure when i was preganant it was 90/58 but because i have no dizziness the doctor said im fine and we will treat it if it effects me at all.

I guess I feel alright it just worries me that my blood pressure is running low and I'm having these other health issues. Just took my BP again and it's 96/55 currently. My hands are always cold and I have been more tired recently. This is all so frustrating to me and I don't know what to do. I've had such a bad day with my chest aching, it's miserable. If that is acid irrirating my esophagus, then why aren't PPIs helping me?

I would lay down, the nurse would take my blood pressure it would be normal. I stood up and my blood pressure dropped dangerously low, about 30 points less which caused me to pass out or become very dizzy in less than a minute. Not sure if yours is like that but I would say Lyme does have an effect on BP because of all the people I know that have that. In my non medical opinion.

So anyways, I was told I have low blood pressure.
