For the past few days now my labias are both swollen and itchy at times. I am very clean and wipe front to back. I wear cotton underware with a liner now because of some discharge. I was just hoping someone out there has a few tips or tricks on how to survive !! I am 26 weeks now and I pray rhis doesn't last the rest of my pregnancy! !!!

There is also some discharge, which has become to look like the discharge from a yeast infection. I have read places that spermicides cause yeast infections, but have never had one this bad!! any idea whats going on???

I've never had a yeast infection before, but I was recently prescribed a cream to deal with a fungal infection of my eczema on my arm. I noticed an itchy weird feeling in my left labia, so after itching just a bit (sorry) I looked down there and the left labia majora was very swollen! But only the one side. I looked closer, and it seemed to have a small lump or two on it. I had sex on friday, one day before this happened. After trying to research online, I applied a warm compress (thinking it may be a cyst), and it made the bump turn a darker purple color, but the labia reamained very swolen. I have done this for 2 days.
The irritation could be from many things.
Firstly, I suggest you DON'T scrub it in the shower. This will only cause more discomfort. Your clitoris and clitoral hood are very sensitive. They should only be washed with water gently. Secondly, I suggest you look at your underwear. If they are lace, just throw them out. Lace is not comfortable down there. It causes a lot of irritation. Wearing a cotton underwear will help. Thirdly, try to keep things dry as possible.
t be thrush as there is no discharge what so ever, but I have also noticed that the place I urinate from (not sure of the technical term) has become very swollen and itchy. I have applied creams and left a damp flannel to calm the discomfort but with no lasting results. My partner and I have recently been checked for sti's and both came out negative. Someone please help the discomfort is agonising.

There are quite a number of reasons why you might have labia swelling. You may have a yeast infection, or other standard Urinary Tract Infection/bacterial infection that may require antibiotics. You could have something as simple as vaginal itching from excessive moisture or heat. In a case like that, drug stores do carry a number of creams that will help alleviate the itching, but it is very important that you discover the reason for the itching.
