Hi can I use maca,l arginine ,l carntine ,zinc,,horny goat weed and tribulus terris at same time to improve sperm quantity
The ONLY thing dh did was up his vitamin intake of selenium, zinc, and l-carnitine/l-arginine. A redo of the sperm analysis just before surprise pregnancy listed him as having very low sperm count with very bad morphology. I don't remember his numbers since it didn't matter back then. Docs said we would have to use donor or do IVF for another pregnancy. Well, in our case, I guess it did happen anyway.
Masturbate less, the more you do the less dense your semen will be. 5. Drink less alcohol 6. Exercise 7. Supplements can also help, L-carnitine, L-arginine, Folic acid. Hope this information helps.
There are some schools of thought that say supplementation can help with motility and quality of sperm. Things like zinc, vitamin E, L-Glutamine, L-Arginine, L-Lysine and ginseng are also good supplements to try. Despite women TTC being told to cut back on caffeine, some studies have shown that caffeine on the male's part helps to increase the motility of sperm. All of these supplements can be found at any drug store, walmart, etc.
Is a source of essential fatty acids. * L-carnitine - Take 3-4 grams daily. Required for normal sperm function. * Multivitamin-mineral - Buy a high-quality product and take one serving size (differs from brand to brand). * Selenium - Take 200 mcg daily. Improves sperm motility. * Vitamin B-12 - Take 1000 mcg daily. A B-12 deficiency reduces sperm motility and sperm count.
While the first two are obviously out of your control, dietary adjustments can improve the volume of your ejaculate. Amino acids such as L-arginine and L-lysine, zinc, and the Horny Goat Weed plant are all said to help up quantity, as is increasing your daily fluid intake. An overall state of fitness is usually accompanied by good blood circulation, which can also help ejaculation. If you want a specific group of exercises that will target penis performance, start working out your PC muscle.
New sperm from any diet change will take 3 months to tell a diff based on the diet change. Also tell dh to take selenium and l-arginine. Those 2, along with the others you mentioned, were my dh's cocktail for better sperm. And it did work. Good luck to ya!
Coenzyme Q10 Helps Increase sperm count and motility. 3. L-carnitine Required for normal sperm function, Carnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid and men with healthy sperm in high numbers often have high carnitine levels. 4. Selenium Selenium is believed to be good for spermmobility. Nearly 50% of the selenium in a man is in the testes and seminal ducts; men lose selenium in their semen. 5. Zinc Required for a healthy male reproductive system and sperm production.
I've been struggling with High Blood pressure for years, I was on so many prescription drugs it was getting out of control. But my friend recommended a product called L-arginine plus, he was taking it for high cholesterol and i thought how can that help me out? So i tried it out and after just one month my blood pressure dropped, and by the time i was done with the second bottle and on my third bottle my doctor and i could both see a significant improvement in my BP levels.
I am familiar with most of the things on your list. The L-Carnitine & Arginine are amino acids. I had my dh on them for quite some time. They don't have any contradiction that I could find in relation to bp or any other health issues. I am pretty sure that Selenium in itself is useless unless complimented with a higher dosage adaquate to it of Vitamin E. I forget what they call it in vitamin land.
The things that seem to be essential for healthy male reproduction include zinc, l-arginine, l-carnitine, co-enzyme Q10, vitamin c. A lot of the multivits will have these incorporated in them. I think as long as you have a relatively healthy diet and do some exercise thats really all you can do. Hope this helps.
The Indispensable Amino acids Isoleucine A branched chain amino acid readily taken up and used for energy by muscle tissue.
So I know I should be happy about this, my IUI is scheduled for Saturday am. The problem is, my DH has 35million sperm and the first one was 19 mil. but he has low or no morphology and motility...My RE never said anything negative about it and now I was just wondering if I am wasting money again! The girl from the lab told me with the IUI it will help but Really? Will it? With my IVF we had icsi and assisted hatching and 12 out of 18 fertilized.
That L-Arginine increase blood flow, raises sperm count, improves brain function, memory and helps build muscle! There's another amino acid, I think cystine? that improves the function of Arginine. I have a vitamin book that tells what they all do. Some quit being produced after 20s and 30s, so supplements will bring it back.
found more :) Supplements like FertilAid for Men contain proven fertility-enhancing ingredients that have been shown to support key sperm parameters like motility and count. Clinical studies continue to demonstrate that antioxidants, the amino acid, l-carnitine, and minerals like zinc an selenium help promote sperm motility and concentration. A recent (2007) FertilAid for Men study further substantiates these claims.
I think there are some good supplements out there to treat motility issues. There is one called Fertil-Aid for Men. I think the main two ingredients to help are L-Arginine and zinc. Also if motility continues to be an issue, you might want to consider IUI. (intra-uterine insemination) They inject the washed sperm directly into her uterus right when she is ovulating. That might work really well for you guys. Good luck!

(Those 2 are the major ones to take...the following are minor but do play a role...) Vit C 1000 mg L-Carnitine L-Arginine L-Lysine Good luck to you!
It said eats good fish for the fat and oil in them. I have heard of the L Arginine, but I think i made my husband take it for his sperm (they were great but just wanted to do everything to help them.) I had not heard of it working for women, but if it does great! Don't know if this helps. Good luck!!
L-arginine (4,000mg/day) -- works to increase nitric oxide which helps with erection and sensitivity; also increases semen volume and quality. L-lysine (1,000mg/day) -- increases semen quality and consistency. Saw palmetto (standardized extract) -- I recommend a product called Prosta-Metto, sold by Puritan's Pride (www.puritanspride.com). This product contains the saw palmetto, pygeum, uva-ursi, and pumpkin seed oil extract, all of which work to condition and keep the prostrate healthy.
sperm was extracted throught tesa procedure --we also went throuh ivf becoz of this male factor but the ivf failed and after that failure we started with to do some researches and tried accupouncture ,vitamins(super nutritious men's simply one,l-arginine,l-lysene,flax seed oil, omega 3,vitamin c 500,vitamin e 400 iu ,l-carnitine,clomid every alternative day) and after doing all this for last 4/5 months in his recent semen analysis everything is perfect rather more than normal..
*Fertilaid *L-arginine *fish oil At the same time, we are going to drastically change our eating to organic and grass-fed as much as possible (which means that I am goint to have to throw away his candy stash--we will see how that goes). Also, for breakfast, I am going to start making fertility shakes that I got from naturalfertilitydiet which include ultra greens, maca, bee pollen and fruits and vegetables.
I've been taking Selenium, L-Arginine and Zinc for about a month. Started taking Vitamin E, vitamin C and Folic Acid last week. Is there anything I can do to increase the chance of conception while she's ovulating? Thanks!

you can put your husband on maca, its a natural suppliment and can increase sperm and mobility, I'm also a firm believer in the ability to lower fsh naturally, if your interested, cut out alcohol, smoking and caffine, increase your intake of fresh fruit and vegetables, go organic, especially dairy, add wholegrains, cut out or down on highly processed sugary foods.
I would definitely start taking the vit C and possibly some L-Lysine and L-Arginine. They are amino acids that can be found at your local vitamin store.
Heather: Your numbers look great. I am very excited for you. I loved the part about "dropping off" dh's sample. I don't know why, but the image made me laugh. What the poor dhs have to endure. LOL Lisa: Thank you so much for the recipe. Like Helen, I am also not a huge veggie person. I think the incorporation of veggie filled soups might just be what I need. Helen: How are you doing?
My follicles matured but my lining was still only around 4. I am also using acupuncture, **** quai, chinese yam, l-carnitine, l-arginine, and royal jelly. The next thing the reproductive endocrinologist wants to try is extradiol shots for a few weeks to see if it thickens my lining. I can't find any research on the use of this and IUI but only with IVF and frozen sperm. Is there anything else I can try besides what I am doing above to increase my lining thickness?
Your hubby may need to take supplements to help his sperm, my hubby takes fertility plus for men ( which contains zinc, l-carnitine, l-arginine, co-enzyme Q10 among other things which are important for male fertility), EPA (fish oil - omega 3) and vitamin C. These were recommended by a nutritional therapist who has 25 years specializing in fertility. Good luck huni, if you need to chat just give me a shout.
