l-arginine

So Im not at all scared of this one personally. The L-Arginine is used by lots of guys as a ED treatment, and also sometimes with weightlifting. Ive never personally heard a negative comment from the weightlifting friends, but they dont complain about pvc's and such either, so Im not sure on that one. Anyway, thanks for the feedback so far .. Im very curious to hear from anyone else whos tried taurine (with or without arginine and mag.) ,or thought about it and gives reasons why they didnt.
I think my comment came out a bit back to front, first of all I meant to address to Monica instead of Julie, sorry about that, what I meant quite simple is this that Dr Dale Peterson also recommends L-taurine and L-arginine and all the other items mentioned by you, suzy cohen takes a very similar stand on her web-site worth while reading Lothar

I would keep eating the way you are and take magnesium in the morning and calcium at night, and also check into L-arginine; your sister may be helpful for researching the worth of these supplements. coq10 may be good too. my mom had a heart attack and was put on that drug but she had a GI bleed, so the gastroenterologist took her off of it. Then she saw a general surgeon about a hernia, and he was thrilled she was off it. He said he thought they put too many people on that long-term.

Hi all. New to this. I am a 44 year old woman who is physically fit (gym 5 days a week) and eats pretty well. Approx 5 weeks ago I developed veins showing on both hands. They have not gone away and infact they are bulging most times, and I can "feel them". They have increased and I can see some starting to climb up my forearm now. Before this, my veins barely ever showed.
As far as non-pharmaceutical treatments go, I am on a fluid- and sodium-loading diet (4 L/day and 5000 mg/day, respectively), I wear custom fitted Rx graduated compression stockings (40-50 mmHg), and I also did phase II cardiac rehab (I would be in phase III right now, but that's a long story).
I also take magnesium 500 mg every morniing and calcium at night. Also vitamin D, L-arginine and ginkgo biloba.

Multi-Vitamin, Vitamin C, B Complex, E, Folic Acid CoQ10, L-arginine, L-Taurine, L-Carnitine, Inosine Hawthorne, Gingko Biloba, Odorless Garlic, Norwegion Salmon Oil, Lycopene, beta carotene, and a couple of other anti-oxidants that I can't think of right now. I am glad to see that the CCF CARDIO MD is open to the idea that some of this stuff might be beneficial. Many doctors don't believe in any non-prescription supplements.
