Avatar n tn When I click or type, I can see--and feel--movement under the skin on the back of my hand that extends down to my wrist. The pain in the front center and back center of my wrist. As I move it, it becomes more and more tense, but if I pop my wrist by throwing my hand backwards or by gripping it and moving it back, it makes an audible pop and the tension is relieved until I move again.
Avatar n tn Tendinitis is what my aunt is suffering from, plz advise on what food or exercise to do or medication to use
Avatar n tn I posted prior about pain in my knuckle starting in my left index finger knuckle. Since then, in early January of this year it transferred to the opposite knuckle. I went in to get tests done and they came back negative for RA, OA, and gout. Everything looked good on the x-rays and there was no cartilage worn down on the joints. Since I got it tested, the pain has continued to transfer to surrounding knuckles but not to the same pain level as the original left index finger knuckle.
Avatar m tn I have been having wrist pain for about 10 months now, and I've been to the doctor several times. The first time he told me it would go away by itself, the second time he told me it was probably tendinitis. And the last time, he took and X-ray, while my wrist was swollen, and told me it was tendinitis. He told me I probably aggrivated it. I dance, but it isn't with my arms/wrist. It isn't a lot of repetitive motion and it isn't like my fingers make any movement.
Avatar m tn It is not as likely that your problem is carpel tunnel if you only have pain on the pack of your hand. It could still be a tendinitis, even though the pain is dorsal. The hand is very complex and their are a number of conditions that effect it's function. I still suggest you follow the RICE protocol. It may offer some pain relief and avoid any injury to the part. And you certainly need to have a CT or MRI of your hand.
Avatar m tn After googling a bit more I have concluded that I have a really light form of tendinitis since I get pain after climbing for 30 minutes which goes away after less then two hours. This means to take off for a couple of weeks and do physical therapy in order to build the strength in my tendons. Any other advice or comments on my self diagnosis would be very helpful thank you for reading this!
Avatar f tn But lately, and I am wondering if it may have been due to the condition of my shoes that I recently replaced, my left ankle has seemed kind of funny and now I am starting to worry if it may be the start of Achilles tendinitis or something with the ankle.
Avatar m tn You may have severely bruised the bone, or fractured it by the force that went on the hand as you landed. An xray of the hand would be able to show whether you have caused damage to the bone. In the meantime strap the middle finger to the two either side to immobilise it. You can apply a lot of natural yogurt to that part and lightly bandage it. This helps by drawing out the inflammation. Keep your weight off that hand too until it is fully healed.
Avatar m tn when i grip anything with my right hand, like scissors or any hand tool, and squeeze, i get a sharp pain in my middle knuckle, i noticed it about a year ago, it was not bad at all at first, but over the last week its become a constant. all other knuckles on both hands are fantastic otherwise,im dont recall any injury or reason why this is happening, any ideas? thank you.
1773483 tn?1316840828 I have occasional shoulder pain on both sides for nearly 7 years, I am nearly 45now. When the pain comes on I am unable to raise my arms past horizontal, sometimes less. There is some clicking when moving the shoulder joint even when there is no pain. There was once consideration that there was tendinitis. I am wondering if I would need surgery or if this is even correctable.
Avatar f tn Doctors said it was tendinitis but this bump has gotten bigger and I can’t even do push-ups or lean on that wrist without feeling pain. I wore a splint and nothing improved.

488675 tn?1208989954 On the last board-break i think i accidentally tilted my right fist a little to the left before impact, I broke the board, but had a lot more pain then usual. i pressed my knuckle and it felt like a bruise. I thought it would go away so i went to sleep. The next day the pain was less but when i pressed on my knuckle i felt 2 bumps, normally i just feel 1 big knuckle. Also when i moved the finger of that knuckle i felt the tendon rub against something.
Avatar n tn For over 1 year now I have had excessive stomach bloating, constipation, gas, lower back pain and almost clear urine. The dr.'s don't have any answers. A CT was just done with contrast and iodine iv, no significant results. A small stone was found near my kidney, but they don't seem to think much of it. I am doubled over in pain, have not had a bowel movement without laxative in months and even with the laxative only a small amount comes out. I am 49 years old and female.
Avatar m tn It has now been 2 months, i have full range of motion without any pain, however when I apply pressure to the knuckle, it hurts a good amount. Also, in the top right corner of the knuckle it almost feels like there is a hole and i can move what feels like a piece of bone around without pain really.

Avatar m tn The other such inflammatory tendinitis conditions giving pain at the back of knee on inner or outer side (along with possible ankle joint pain) are Hamstrings tendinitis and Gastrocnemius muscle tendenitis. Another cause of popliteal pain is injury to the posterior horn of lateral meniscus. Please consult an orthopedic specialist regarding this. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
Avatar n tn Also, it is slightly swollen and I feel pressure, from the swelling, in the knuckle along with the pain when I try to flex it. It is not a stinging pain but a sore pain and only on top of the knuckle. I just turned 60 and have never had anything like this before. Very strange. From what I understand about gout it, the big toe is the usual target but it can happen to any joint.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with tendinitis and given Voltaren-XR and Percocet. For the 1st 2 days the pain got better and at one point on the 4th day I forgot I was hurt. The next day I felt some discomfort but went away after a walk. I decided to ride my mountain bike for some cardio. I noticed some pain but not to much just discomfort. That night the pain was horrible again and was out of Percocet. I then called the Orthopedic and told him I needed some more pain medication to be able to sleep at night.
Avatar n tn i had a total middle knuckle replacement on my right hand the knuckle that forms a fist, i had more range of motion with my old arthritis knuckle that i was born with, i will not never ever have another knuckle replacement i will keep the joints i was born with , i would rather have them because they have more range of motion and the silicone knuckle only provided 45 degrees of motion, if you go beyond that it will break, I regret having this operation, because i was better off with the knuckle
Avatar n tn I have been having pain on the inside of the palms of my hands just around the knuckle areas... Usually it starts with me rubbing it and the more i rub it the intense it gets but at the same time offers me relief. I dont have any pain on the top of my hands over the knuckle areas at all. The pain is only localized to my knuckle area and does not spread through the fingers or upper arms. There is no reddness or swelling.
