Avatar m tn Thanks for the reply. I am in NJ but I'm currently seeing an OS in NYC. From what I've read that seems to be the case. I'm going to stay off of it for a couple weeks and touch base with him then. I'm starting to feel more popping and clicking as the days go by. If you don't mind, who is the OS you used? My father could use a knee replacement or two.
Avatar n tn Just so you know, I was told the same thing...keep looking and trying and you will find someone who will help you. I understand what you're going through and wish you the best!

Avatar m tn Doc,this is like a Godsend. I had knee surgery about 2 months ago. 4 days later I fell and dislocated my right shoulder which has been surgically repaired 2x for chronic dis-location. Addittionally Ive got herniations in L1,L2,C7,and a slight in C6. Pre-dating the surgery a chaotic life for the last yr+ has had me out of the Gym,unfotunately for me atrophy sets in quickly and my shoulder literally feels loose.

1855076 tn?1337115303 And pain is very subjective. I have a high pain tolerance. So does my oldest son. He had knee surgery and only took Advil. He had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed, came home, took some ibuprofen, a half hour nap and was up and out. And he ate chicken for dinner. My oldest daughter has a low pain threshold but when you see her, it's very apparent she's in a lot of pain. I also red an article a while back that said red heads feel pain more easily than blondes or brunettes.

Avatar n tn It also showed some arthritis under the knee cap. The surgery included a scraping and shaping under the knee cap. After surgery there was still sensitivity on the medial side of knee. Surgeon said it was because of the way the knee was held open during surgery and it would fade. It did for a time and now it is back. If I move my left leg from left to right and have some resistance against the foot there will be a sharp pain in the medial meniscus.
Avatar f tn I have been taking oxycodone for a knee injury the last 9 months and have decided to stop because my dr. says my knee has healed and I shouldn't have any trouble with pain. I take the blue pill 15mg 3 times a day. I am concerned that I will still be in pain when I stop but after reading I'm even more concerned with the withdraw aspect of this. I decided to stop today because I took the last one this morning. I was looking for anybody here that has a similar situation like mine.
Avatar f tn Hi-A little over one yr ago I had my right knee replaced. I hadn't been able to bend my knee for about 4 yrs before the surgery - I have osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and degenerative bone disease - so the dr and I decided on a knee replacement. I can bend my knee now, and I've had the knee xrayed since the surgery and it looks ok. I ride a stationary bike every day for excercise. What I don't understand is why I am having SO much pain in my knee?? It's really very depressing!
