Avatar f tn I will be doing a lot of traveling this summer, lots of airports; does an orthopaedic boot support both knee and ankle? I use Voltaren gel and take Tramadol twice a day.
Avatar n tn Hi all, I am not sure why I am writing down all this. I guess I am looking for some support. It's been almost 5 months now since my high risk exposure. The anxiety gets worse and worse, so I finally decided to go back to my home country to do the final test. I've been tested negative after one week and 39 days. It didn't really give me much relieve. rather the opposite: I got so anxious that I couldn't go to a further test.

Avatar m tn Because of the atrophy in my leg, I will have to wear a brace for the rest of my life and this brace seems to be the one that gives me the most support. I hope your knee is better and you do not have to wear a brace indefinitely but if you do, I recommend the Donjoy Defiance III. It is a custom fitted brace. Your doctor should be able to help. Best wishes to you and stay positive. You'll be fine...
Avatar f tn Have you tried..ginger root.
Avatar f tn See your chiropractor, seriously, I have a knee that does that, he works on it and it is fine. In the mean time, try wearing a knee brace to give it support.

20909564 tn?1624320701 What Strength and Length of support hose are prescribed after Varithena? Why does Venaseal not also require it? Note that even the lightest-support knee high's cause me rebound pain upon removal of the hose, and if it goes over the knee (and above), my circulation is permanently affected.
Avatar f tn m not a doctor and cannot diagnose your condition, a knee brace might be a suitable solution for you. Knee braces can provide support, stability, and pain relief for various knee issues, including meniscus tears. By wearing a knee brace, you can alleviate some of the stress on your knee and promote healing.
Avatar f tn You could try using a knee brace for additional support and avoiding exercise. It would be best to discuss the situation, the management plan and the expected, prognosis in detail with your treating orthopedician. Hope this is helpful. Take care!
647391 tn?1275016633 This is because of damage to the knee and missing cartilage. What is your thoughts as to someone my age having knee replacement surgery. Also, what is the quickest recovery you have seen for someone with knee replacement surgery?
Avatar f tn I just had knee surgery on July 24th, so I have been on Hydrocodone (5-325) for about a month now. Saturday was my last day on them and I am feeling the effects. They are not as bad as coming off of Tramadol, thank god! All day yesterday I was hot and cold and feeling sluggish. I went to bed fine but woke up at 2am this morning wide awake. I have never had withdrawals from Hydrocodone before. What are some things that will help get this out of my system sooner?
Avatar m tn I have used Miconazole for ringworm and it is REALLY slow acting and you have to use it for a long time... Were you not offered an oral medication?? Go to a Lloyds or Tesco pharmacist and ask for their own brand of Canesten oral capsule. (The branded one is around £15). The chemist will likely ask you if you are sure you have thrush.... If I were you (and this is just my opinion) I would tell them that you are certain that it is thrush as your partner has told you that she has it.
Avatar m tn ), then obviously you need to see a doc about perhaps a brace or whatever it would take to help support that weak knee. A sports injury doc might be your best bet, they are so very good at diagnosing your sort of problem, they are always closely associated with physical therapy people, and they could order a brace, just everything you need. Or your own regular physicians could easily determine what is going on, a scan might reveal a joint problem, or just a regular exam of you.
Avatar f tn Wrap the knee with ace bandage or black knee support until u can get to the doc. does your knee crack? Take ibuprofen as directed for swelling. Hope you can get to the ER or doc soon.
Avatar n tn Do you have access to a gym? Or is this for at home exercises without any equipment?
Avatar m tn Almost a year and a half ago my boyfriend started to experience chronic knee pain. In February of last year he had a knee surgery to remove a hematoma and clotted blood and dead tissue. Since that surgery his knee has only gotten worse. He has been to every specialist you can think of and has been on extremely high amounts of pain medication with no relief.
Avatar m tn My left knee always pops while my right knee never pops. Also, the left knee pops about 40 times a day when i am standing. So my questions are 1. Why does only one knee pop? 2. What does all this popping mean?
Avatar f tn thanks to those of you who have already replied, I last took one 5 mg percocet at 6 am this morning and am now starting to feel jittery and jumpy with hot and cold flashes, i plan on reading all i can this evening about tapering, i dont really have any time i can take from work as i took 7 weeks Jan and Feb for a knee replacement, so guess i will have to tough it out. all support and info will be most appreciated, uh oh, gotta hot flash right now.
Avatar n tn Go to this web sight: onourfeet.com it is a sight that is so wonderful, all about knee replacements, hips too, I have had both knees replaced, it is a hard thing but not near as bad as the fusion. I had L-4-L5 fusion last Dec and I am still not all the way recovered. the knees by now would be great, but anyhow, don't be afraid of the knee replacements, there are so many of us out there, and so much support on the knee boards, I can't even tell you how much it helped me.
Avatar f tn Wearing a bandage around the hand and wrist will also help to provide support until you get the correct wrist support splints. If you do ignore your wrist problems, it will get worse to the point that you will not be able to use your hands at all. So do take care. Wishing you a speeding recovery.
888841 tn?1242516603 They may also apply a support strap, a knee brace, or custom orthotics. It will depend on your physician and the severity of the tendonitis. If it is resistant to the above measures sometimes a burst of oral steroids are prescribed. I do not know if you have the above mentioned conditions. You may have strained your knee or the support structures surrounding it. A strain is also painful. I suggest that you begin resting the area.
640548 tn?1340553355 I have been researching and I see a lot of good reviews on the Babies R Us brand. Have you found anything different?
