i just finished a course of zithromax for pneumonia/bronchitis and on noprosyn for knee swelling and pain. could any of these medications cause these abnormal lab results? incidentally, the naprosyn is not helping with the knee pain and the swelling is getting worse. my main concern however, is the abnormal cbc. can you provide me with some answers. thank you.
If I do decide to go with the Cipro, does that mean double the pain for my knees, since some Zithromax could still be in my body tissues. While I'm concerned about the knee pain, I'm more concerned about my knees' well being in the future. Is Cipro a wise choice given that it is an antibiotic like Zithromax and might inflame my knees further?
But I had reddish eyes, especially in the evenings and mornings, spine pain, shooting arthritic pain in my wrists and ankles, recurrent urethritis that should have cleared with antibiotics. I will post on this thread if it is still open after I see the Urologist. Even with three years of medical training it has taken me over a year to start to figure out what may be going on with my symptoms.

I went back to the same clinic and did another smear test bacause the pain is unbearble and detected NGU. I was given Zithromax 1g oral. On the first week the pain gone but came back on the 2nd week( pain in uethra and balls buring).
Did a smear test and everything is fine so doc ask me to wait for 2 weeks and see how it goes.
On the 4th week developed body poking/needle pain esp on my toes/fingers sometiime on back of knee,thigh and lower back.
Diarrhea; headache; loose stools; nausea; stomach pain; upset stomach; vomiting.

In the middle of September I was prescribed a z pak for a sinus infection but now I was having some pain in my testicles. I went to another doctor for this and was prescribed 2g of Zithromax, 400mg of cefixime and 2g of flagyl, but no testing. I still have occasional pain in my testicles and a heavy feel in them with an occasional shooting pan in the penis. My doctor thinks it is prostatitis and has set up an appt wit a urologist in December. He has always been convinced it is not an std.

I have had unprotected sex with a girlfriend and after three weeks i experienced a cloudy discharge from my penis and also a tingling sensation which I suspect as a chlamydial infection or NGU. I took 1g of zithromax and also took 5days of doxycycline 100mg. bid. After the medication my symptoms disappeared. After a few days however my testicles ached after i drank a large amount of liqour. I took another zithromax dosage and this time 1g on the first day and 500mg for another two days.
it went away but came back, so possibly the Zithromax is not strong enough to eliminate possible MG. Presumably if it was MG then 1g Zithromax was doing no good & it was now resistant against it. However I then was given a 3rd 1g & it went away for 4years. So is MG ruled out based on this as i didn't take Moxi or 5days of Zithromax prior to the 4years clear spell? Note: Doxy was also taken prior to the 4year clear spell but this isn't good against MG.
About 3 weeks later, I started having pain in my lower back and a pinching sensation in my urethra. A couple days after that i had a mild flu for 2-3 days. i had abdominal pain for a couple of weeks and the pinching sensation in my urethra continued. I had a swollen scrotum, and the tip of my penis seemed to be inflamed on the left side of the hole. This lasted for about 6 months, although the swelling in my scrotum went away.
t noticed any cold sores or anything of the sort. I started taking zithromax a few days later for a separate issue and noticed my penis often getting random throbbing shots of pain. Not too painful, just noticeable. It would feel this way after masterbation too. A similar thing had happened with zithromax before.
Last week I looked at my penis and noticed two small, flat dots on the head. Example: they look like there was a cut there but healed. Is this any indication of herpes?
Now the pricking is gone but the pain still exists. today i felt quite some pain. pain comes after peeing(not while peeing).
The first report said gram stain positive. dont know what exactly that is. after the first course of meds, the pain still continued, thats when the doc prescribed azithromycin for chlamydia. was perfect after 2 days. finished the course and after 2 weeks this is wat i am experiencing now. Went to doc again and the urine test was normal. Should i see the doc again?
I have discharge after 4 days of receiving oral sex from a girl I take 6 x 250 mg Zithromax , before I go to doctor. When I go to doctor I did not inform him about Zithromax. The doctor give me ciprofloxacin 750 mg twice a day for 10 days. He try to find any discharge for testing but he cannot find any. He make a culture urine test. I did not receive the result. This is the 3rd day in treatment I didn't see any discharge but still have burn in my pines and under my abdominal.
Not an answer buts that 1gram dose of Zithromax taken at once by a 100 lb 35 year old female.

I think what you're experiencing is called Runner's Knee (Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome)
The knee is a complex joint. It includes the articulation between the tibia and femur (leg and thigh) and the patella (knee cap) and femur. The most common knee problems in running relate to what is called the "patellofemoral complex". This consists of the quadriceps, knee cap and patellar tendon.
SO I AM HAVING PRETTY EXTREME PAIN ONLY WHEN KNEEING ON LEFT KNEE--USUALLY DOMINATE KNEE THAT I ALWAYS KNEE ON WITH ALL MY WIEGHT ON FIRST. DOESNT HURT TO WALK ON OR BEND OR ANY OTHER MOTION. RECENTLY I CAN FEEL SENSATIONS FROM A LITTLE BELOW MY KNEE LIKE "PINS AND NEEDLES" BUT VERY SLIGHT. I CAN LIGHTLY TOUCH BELOW CENTER OF KNEE AND FEEL SAME PAIN WITH VERY LITTLE PRESSURE LIKE A SLIGHT RUB.
I twisted my knee and when it happen I heard and felt a pop on the inside of my knee. Also, now when I walk, I have pain and crackling on the outside, under the knee. When I am walking and I have to turn or piviot, I get a pain that runs the inside of my knee. And now I can just be standing there and my knee feels like it is really loose and feels like I hyperextended in, the knee pushes back. How ling should I wait to go to the doctor or should I continue to try and heal it myself.
