Avatar n tn Its does not seems to happen when she is baring weight such as carrying our child. It does not happen walking up stairs or when she tenses or leg when she is walking. It is guaranteed to happen the first step she takes after she exercises (stationary bike).

Avatar f tn When I got up this morning I almost fell when I put weight on my left leg. The pain in my left knee was horrible. I tried working through it thinking it was just stiff from sleeping, but it has not improved. It doesn't hurt unless I put weight on it, and then it's an excruciating sharp pain on the right side of the knee only. I have never had anything like this before, even before it was replaced. Any suggestions as to what it may be?
Avatar m tn Often the person feels a popping sensation on moving the joint. Pain worsens on walking. It can also be tendinitis due to inflammation of tendon at the knee joint. You will need X-rays and MRIs of the knee to find the exact. Treatment will follow correct diagnosis. Do consult your orthopedic specialist at the earliest. Meanwhile do not bear weight on that leg, give it rest, apply ice pack, and take an anti-inflammatory pain killer. Take care!
Avatar n tn I have pain in the back of my knee when it's bent. I have no pain when it's straight and I'm walking. What could be causing it?

Avatar f tn Hello first of thanks for the help this site rocks :) So i have been having some really bad knee pain for about 3 years i just had a baby and it hurts so bad when I'm carrying him up and down our stairs. he is only 4 months old, but it fills like my legs are going to buckle from underneath me. they usually always hurt but more when I'm walking up and down the stairs. at night i drench my knees in icy hot.
Avatar f tn But then up and pain subsided. Possibly knee cap moved back in place. Now then in morning knee lil swollen, pain when walking, no bending or squatting which would lead my proffessional opinion to be you over streched tendons, possibly a slight tear. Use an ice pack for 2 days twice a day 30 mins each. No more weights till Friday. If everything returns to normal leave the squats out for an additional week. However by this Friday if knee is still the same, go see family doctor.
Avatar f tn When I walk my legs are fine but when I kneel down on my right leg it feels like my right knee the muscle in there is like stretching this a stinging pain it's on the right side of my knee any suggestions on what I could do if it's serious like a torn muscle but it only happens when I kneel down walking is fine it's like just putting pressure on the knee kneeling down
Avatar f tn I am a veteran when it comes to knee problems. Torn meniscus cartilage, 2 knee scopes (arthroscopic surgeries), and finally a total knee replacement. If your knee is swelling, especially in the morning after sleeping, it may be a torn meniscus cartilage. The older we get, the more brittle our cartilage becomes and the more prone it is to damage from impact, etc... I have had lots of injuries over the years but the knee had the worst pain of all.
Avatar m tn I was putting in padded flooring in my home gym for about 4 hours. Since then I've had pain in my right knee only when kneeling on my right knee (like when tying shoes). It's to the side of the knee and feels like something is being stretched laterally at first, before I get a sharp pain that feels like it's stinging/tingly. It is not completely on the side of my knee, but in the softer area to the side of my knee cap.
Avatar f tn Pain in the back of knee when walking up and down steps. Also buckling and giving in while walking at times. I am a competitive gymnasts. The pain is right where you bend your knee in the back What could this be?
Avatar f tn I twisted my knee and when it happen I heard and felt a pop on the inside of my knee. Also, now when I walk, I have pain and crackling on the outside, under the knee. When I am walking and I have to turn or piviot, I get a pain that runs the inside of my knee. And now I can just be standing there and my knee feels like it is really loose and feels like I hyperextended in, the knee pushes back. How ling should I wait to go to the doctor or should I continue to try and heal it myself.

Meniscii too if torn or injured cause pain worsening on walking and result in joint instability—that is you are not confident the knee joint will take your weight. Often the person feels a popping sensation on moving the joint. It can also be tendinitis due to inflammation of tendon at the knee joint.
Avatar m tn Recently I have also experienced minimal hip pain. While walking, the area along the medial side of the knee also hurts. The entire area feels like it is full of sand to touch. At times it feels like my knee is buzzing or growling and shifting - even while it is stationary. I experience many different kinds of pain in many different areas of the knee, everything from the type of pain that accompanies a bruise to pinching, burning, and stinging.
Avatar f tn t done anything (knowingly) to injure it. The pain is below my knee cap where it meets the shin bone. It only hurts when in motion...walking or using stairs, or anytime I have my weight on it. I have to limp because the pain hurts so much. Some days are worse than others; some times there is very little pain. When sitting down there is no pain, and I can move my leg around with no pain while sitting. My knee pops occasionally but nothing new.
Avatar m tn the last couple of months i have been experiencing leg and stump pain when walking. also in am when brushing teeth and lean forward to rinse, i have pain in stump and leg.
Avatar n tn Do you have any instep problems?? My foot rolls out when I walk and this was giving me problems in my knee when I walked. I went to a 'propper' athletics shoe store and actually spoke to someone who knew the ins and outs of all the shoes. They fited me with a pair of joggers that counteracted my rolling out and I immediatly noticed the difference in my knee while walking.
Avatar f tn I had two screws placed about inch-2 inches below knee. I was told no weight baring etc. However, I have been walking on it. Today the pain is so intense stabbing burning pain and popping when I walk.....
Avatar f tn During the surgery they placed 2 Endor rods going down the middle of my Tibia from knee to ankle. Now that I am making attempts at walking I am having grinding pain and a lot of pain around my knee. My Drs x-rays showed the rod had moved out and that is what I was feeling. He said they can come out now and with minor surgery. My question to anyone, is it to soon to remove the rods? Also, will I be back on crutches for some time? I would appreciate any feedback.
Avatar f tn I get unbelievable pain from my knee down to my ankles when I jog. After about 40 minutes that pain is some what tolerable and I can jog for 4-5 minutes straight. For the rest of my day my ankles are sore. Does anybody have any idea what this is?
Avatar f tn I have shooting pain in both my legs, tingling sentations, and muscle spams, aching and numbness in my feet but when i feel them they are not numb to touch. But my main concern is my walking. When i walk the only way i can describe it is: when i walk and put weight on my leg it snaps back at the knee, like i have no spring for it to relax back. I have had a mri scan of my lower back and NCS and EMG test but the mri scan no results back as yet and the NCS and EMG showed nothing.
Avatar f tn Hi there, Physical exam of the knee is a big part of diagnosis, so unfortunately I won't be able to give you a definitive answer as to what is going on. From what you tell me though, I certainly think that further testing is warranted, since your pain seems to be relatively severe. It is possible that you are having a flare of arthritis, but it could also be something like a meniscal tear.
Avatar m tn Hello, I have left outer knee pain when I try to pistol at about 45 degree squat and push weight and stretch knee outer side by crossing right knee. Pain is worsening when walking downhill. Its about three years. What the injury should be?
