Avatar f tn Hi there, I was riding a horse and my foot got caught on a panel and the horse kept going. This happened 3 days ago. It's hard to walk. I have swelling and pain on the inner side of my knee. I can bend my knee approx 45°. When I'm sitting or laying down I can straighten my leg but when I'm standing I can't seem to straighten it. My knee cap feels awkward when I try to. When I stand up from sitting i get an excruciating pain and blood rush feeling through my knee.
20816659 tn?1521035997 I have a dull charlie horse feeling in my right calf, the pain comes and goes as if it were a charlie horse, but is always in the same spot and there is a constant dull cramp feeling, I also have a slight color difference (below and to the left of my knee cap) and it is super tender to touch. I havent had any recent injuries to that leg but did fall down a flight of stairs over a month ago.. Blood clots (DVT), strokes and cancers runs very strong in my bloodline.
1483631 tn?1319228646 I finally talked to my doctor about pain management for the endometriosis and he knew that I was trying to get pregnant so he said it was time to get more aggressive. So he referred me to a fertility specialist. The fertility specialist was wonderful after one cycle, clomid/IUI I got pregnant!! I am so grateful it was unbelievable to me. I'm not sure if I just had a hostile enironment or what but the IUI worked :). I'm 34 now and currently 19 weeks pregnant.

Avatar m tn 35 year old male, healthy and in shape, not overweight. No known health issues or diseases. There are days when I have more trouble walking and everything just feels uncomfortable and like I can't walk properly. Some days aren't as bad. My feet point outwards (toe-out), but the left a lot more than the right. I'm not sure if it is the knee, leg bones or ankles.
Avatar f tn I'm sorry to hear about your knee pain. It does sound quite challenging to deal with, especially given its persistence. Although I'm not a doctor and cannot diagnose your condition, a knee brace might be a suitable solution for you. Knee braces can provide support, stability, and pain relief for various knee issues, including meniscus tears. By wearing a knee brace, you can alleviate some of the stress on your knee and promote healing.
1456157 tn?1285374334 re pretty much done for now with the sports therapy. They claim to be able to feel those ligaments where the knee felt good - it did seem to help until she ended up falling on the knee and then back to square one. Part of the reason we tried the sports therapy route was in hearing others in the local soccer community who had good results but I'm a bit skeptical at this point.
435985 tn?1249067908 The next step is to see the doctor but I am frustrated because they can not see me until Jan 13, and by then I will be 12 weeks. I am going to call and plead that they make room for me earlier because I am paranoid after just having the miscarriage and being pregnant again so soon. My question is, if they say "sorry, we cant do anything" do you think I should complain and tell them I will find a new doctor? Do you think I should request an u/s with a technician?
Avatar f tn I am having pain and numbness radiating from the hip to the knee. I can't stand for too long. Walking with support is better than standing still and sitting with the leg up is most confortable. Should I go for an MRI or to a chiropracter?
Avatar f tn Hi everything is perfect. The baby has decided to nest on the right side which is why I have pain. The doctor said even if pain feels like a period pain don't panic. Rest is best and the uterus will cause tummy pain because of bedding in.
Avatar n tn For 2 months, I've had terrible pain behind my knee, especially when I bend it. My doctor has ordered an ultrasound to check for a Baker's Cyst - but no cyst is visible to the naked eye, nor can one be felt. Is it still possible that a cyst exists?
Avatar m tn it's to the right of this page, go straight down until you see experts forum then u choose from herpes or std..
Avatar m tn I agree with the others that you do need to go and see your doctor, possibly he may send your for xrays to find what is going on with your knees. But you would benefit from seeing a physiotherapist as regards the right type of exercises to do to firm up the surrounding muscles that support the knee joints. The physiotherapist will also be able to tell you if you need to wear supports for your knees. It is not uncommon for young people to suffer from knee pain problems.
Avatar f tn Hi. So, you are trying to recreate the original slide that injured you? Is this of necessity to you? My husband was a pretty serious baseball player (high school and college both) and then played softball on a competitive team more for fun. He no longer plays because he hurt his calf. Body wears out and gets old. While it bums him out, he still enjoys the sport as a spectator and coach. I don't know your age and if it is essential you still play ball and slide into base.
Avatar n tn The nurse told me it probably would take two or three months to get an appt. with the doctor he referred me to. Soooooo, since I have an appt. with my current rheumy, on June 16, I'll just go back to him for now. He's an hour and a half away but so was the other doctor. I'm going to push for a re-testing of all the blood work and see what will show up this time, if anything. The ortho seemed to lean toward RA but I have none of the obvious systems other than pain.
Avatar f tn I have a constant pain in the back of my head-neck and numbness and pins and needles in my hands. I would like to see a doctor that specialises in this condition can anyone help.
Avatar n tn When I was in my early teens I was active in Tae Kwon Do... about a year and a half into it I was forced to quit due to excessive knee pain when bending/kicking/Etc. I went to an orthopedic surgeon who at first diagnosed me with tendonitis (without looking at xrays. I went back for a second opinion and recieved the news that due to my knees being abnormally flexible, my kneecaps were being pulled closer to my femur. So instead of a nice alignment, I have malaligned kneecaps!
Avatar m tn The IUD that you have contains progesterone, which can be constipating. Maybe this is part of the problem. Did you ever consider removing the IUD to see if that helps the pain? I hope you find the answer to your problem.
Avatar f tn I am fine walking around the house for a few minutes but than have to sit down as it feels like the knee is going to give out. When I get up from a chair it feels like I have something pulling in my knee and it has pain. I dont know what to do, I am unsure if I tore my meniscus again or If I am just bruised. I dont know if I should go have an xray or give it more time to see if it gets better. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?
Avatar f tn I agree you should see your doctor and stay off of it so that it can heal properly.
Avatar n tn Torn or damaged miniscus of simple swelling and fluid acumulation due to strain. You need to see a physician for an in-person examination. Generally they insert a needle into the area and draw out fluid, and examine this to see if there is any blood. If there is no blood, drawing out the fluid usually ends the pain completely. If there is blood they suspect ba torn miniscus. This procedure is scarey, but relatively painless. Close your eyes. A torn miniscus may mean surgery.
Avatar f tn But then up and pain subsided. Possibly knee cap moved back in place. Now then in morning knee lil swollen, pain when walking, no bending or squatting which would lead my proffessional opinion to be you over streched tendons, possibly a slight tear. Use an ice pack for 2 days twice a day 30 mins each. No more weights till Friday. If everything returns to normal leave the squats out for an additional week. However by this Friday if knee is still the same, go see family doctor.
