Older woman here, developed knee pain 2 months ago. It thankfully went away, but then about a week ago started hurting again, this time in different location, just to the left and medial of my knee cap. Every step is excruciating, only way to describe it. Guess I have meniscus tear? But has anyone experienced this type of horrible pain with Every Step? If so did you find a remedy?
I was putting in padded flooring in my home gym for about 4 hours. Since then I've had pain in my right knee only when kneeling on my right knee (like when tying shoes). It's to the side of the knee and feels like something is being stretched laterally at first, before I get a sharp pain that feels like it's stinging/tingly. It is not completely on the side of my knee, but in the softer area to the side of my knee cap.
Prepatellar bursitis, patellar subluxation,knee cap dislocation all can lead to pain directly over the knee cap.Rest,antiinflammatory medications, application of ice to the knee all are very important for reducing the symptoms. If the symptoms persist or are severe it is best to see an orthopaedician.I hope it helps.

HOWEVER over the past few weeks I am having so much pain. My knee will twist and the pain is mainly directly right below my knee cap then will radiate throughout my knee and ache for a while. The pain I get when it twists is almost a stretched stabbing type pain if that makes sense. It feels almost unstable. I have swelling that comes and goes. I still have discoloring almost like a bruising that comes and goes. Most nights the pain will keep me awake.
When I got up this morning I almost fell when I put weight on my left leg. The pain in my left knee was horrible. I tried working through it thinking it was just stiff from sleeping, but it has not improved. It doesn't hurt unless I put weight on it, and then it's an excruciating sharp pain on the right side of the knee only. I have never had anything like this before, even before it was replaced. Any suggestions as to what it may be?
The pain is 10/10 and I can only unlocking it by hanging my knee over my other leg while lying on my stomach relieving pressure on the outside of the knee. This all started beginning when I injured my knee sliding on wet grass my cleat got stuck and twisted my ankle. At first the locking would occur multiple times a week and was extreme. Mri’s including a contrast were clean. I no longer deal with the problem except for the fact I cannot preform the exact slide that injured it.
About a month later my wrists started to feel better, but I started getting the same pain in my ankles, and my left knee. It really hurts alot when I walk or have to lift my knee. My knee almost feels swollen. I have never heard of a joint pain that moves around I am so lost. I am tired of taking Ibprofin and sleeping on a heating pad! I went to my primary DR. He took blood, x-rays and urine, but they all came back normal.
I'm already like that at 23w2d.. I seriously toss from left to right because my hips and knees kill me..
which ever side I lay on, that hip & knee wake me up.. I sleep with a pillow between my legs (always have) & that doesn't help with the pain.. mine reaches from my face to my calves.. I'm short haha!
BUT my fiancé & I use 2 separate comforters.. I toss too much, my body temperature is insane, and I pee a lot..
After have my left knee replaced I soon developed severe pain in both legs from knees to feet.
My severity moves and is now mostly in my left heel, (even though my right knee was repaced).Any suggestions as to what could be causing this?

i have a pain in the middle bottom of my throat when i pull my head up looking up. sometimes it feels like there is a lump in my throat and a lot of times when i swallow a pill it gets stuck there. I also have a lot of acid reflux. I take zantac 300 before going to bed, it seems to help my stomach but that thing in my throat just wont go away... I feel like i have a sore throat alot also...
I have also been diagnosed with a mal-tracking problem with my left knee, meaning when I do anything movement where my knee bends and has weight on it, the knee moves slighting forward and inward, instead of just forward. This has caused me some minor knee pain sometimes, however it's not prominant right now. Any suggestions?
All was going well until last night when tired and getting into bed when laying on my back I tried to move my body weight. Not thinking I put my weight through the knee that had recently undergone surgery and I immediately felt pain in the where the lower side of the graft attached to my shin.
I tested this over night, but still feel pain here today and am now worried that the graft has become detached.
Since March I have been having episodes of severe leg pain (when I lift my leg when walking) from the mid thigh to down below the knee, right arm pain at the elbow, stiff neck, tail bone soreness, right buttock soreness, floaters in my eyes. I saw my PCP who ordered some blood work. ESr was 18 and ANA was 648. He sent me to a Rhuem who then redid those test and they came back normal. He says I am fine.
What do you do when your active life has turned to sitting because the pain is so bad that you can not walk or exercise? I have no range of motion in hips so the pain is constant. I have knees that are in gripping pain when walking. I really do not know where to start. I have fibromyalgia which adds to the problems with great fatigue. Exercise is only in water but in the winter I can not drag myself to the gym to do this. Summer I have a pool and it helps a lot.

I was travelling in a bus. Driver applied a break, I didn't even move from the position, but I heard a sound from my right knee - "clukk". Next days onwards the pain started. I had been to physician, he said there might be a ligament tear...advised on tablets. But no use, then had advised me to wear knee cap for few days. I was feeling better with knee cap. I removed it after 25 days, it was little better for 2 days, then again the pain is back.
I am one year post Unicompartmental bilateral knee replacements and the lateral pain/pressure continues. When I bend the knee beyond 90 degrees I have a sharp pain on the lateral side of the knee cap. I have tried to be positive, but I don't see things getting better. It is very frustrating since I too thought things would be better than when I went in for the partials. It is like I have a tourniquet wrapped around my leg just below my knee.
Finally started urinating more regularly and the pain is becoming less. Was told to keep the knee brace on when I get up during the day and at night when sleeping. Was also told to keep the compression socks on both legs for 6 weeks.
- January 27, 2010. Starting to feel less pain. Started walking with crutches today. No more walker. Yesterday I stopped using the cooler ice system for the knee. Bladder still somehow sensitive when urinating, but it does not burn when I urinate.
I had knee problems and ended up having 2 partial replacement, and one redo with a total knee. When I came off pain meds after the knee surgery, my shoulder and neck began to hurt. Did lots of PT and massage and chiropractic care and finally had shoulder surgery for a SLAP lesion and floating bone fragments. Because my neck hurt so much also, had an MRI on that with the shoulder surgeon. He said I had thyroid nodules, one particularly large.
