Absolutely can not lift it. I told the doctor this after one month, he just said it ould get better with time. 13 months later no difference same intense pain. Knee bends 90% and works fine except when I try tp privot inward to the right.
Avatar m tn I am a 53 year old male who has been walking my whole life, lately my right knee has been locking up and I get a bad burning pain just about were my knee bends. This just came on all of a sudden about two weeks ago. It dosen't happen all the time, but when it does the pain is a hot burning type pain. It burns for awhile and I have trouble walking and then it just goes away for days at a time until it happens again. Does anyone know what it could be or what is causing this pain.
Avatar n tn As soon as my knee hit the floor a sharp pain shot into my patella. It almost felt like I kneeled on a screw or object. I quickly got up and there was no blood, pain, or marks from an object. Ever since then I cannot knee on a certain part of that knee. If I do I get a sharp, burning, stinging pain that quickly subsides once off the knee. I can walk and run on it fine, and have not experienced any swelling or other problems. I cannot feel any abnormalities on the outside.
Avatar m tn If it is just occasionally popping with no pain, it could be nothing and some exercise like knee bends could strengthen your knee. On the other hand, it is painful too especially with swelling you may want to see a doc. If your knee is making a grinding noise for example it could mean that the cartilage is wearing down. Especially if this continues to bother you check with your pcp or an orthopedic specialist before exercising or anything!
Avatar m tn I've had surgery many years back. A few weeks ago i hurt my knee when I walked into a hole I had not seen. There was swelling for a few days... Once the swelling went away I noticed a bump at the back of my knee. The bump itself is not painful, but my knee doesn't seem to really get better as a regular pain persists. I am keeping an eye on it, but I believe it is getting bigger. Will consult shortly, but any idea what this could be?
Avatar n tn s no color on it. No pain. Nothing! just hurts when try to bend my knee. I feel a bad pull in my quadriceps.
Avatar n tn I do the same sometimes but after a while I get aches and pain in my ankle, knee and hip joints. My p.t told me I should try and keep my foot straight. have you seen a p.t ?
Avatar f tn Any chance it's a baker's cyst? They're pretty common and cause a feeling of tightness behind the knee. The pain with that usually increases when your knee is fully flexed or extended.
Avatar f tn However from the past few months I am experiencing pain in my knee whenever I bend it. It is not a continuous pain but its like a shooting pain when I bend my leg (like in the bathroom or climbing stairs etc). I mentioned this to my Dr and she checked and said the ligaments are perfect and there is no swelling. But I want to know what this pain is if everything is perfect. I am 32 yrs old and it is getting hard for me to sit on the floor or get up. This is obviously not normal.
Avatar n tn Sometimes it feels like a charley horse or a cramp like pain, othertimes it is sharp. I have clicks in my knee when I extend it. There also seems to be a pocket of swelling in the soft tissue behind the joint on the back of my leg between the hamstrings.
Avatar n tn I have also been diagnosed with a mal-tracking problem with my left knee, meaning when I do anything movement where my knee bends and has weight on it, the knee moves slighting forward and inward, instead of just forward. This has caused me some minor knee pain sometimes, however it's not prominant right now. Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn I have pain right above my kneecap, but when I sit it does not hurt to be bent, and when I straitghten it out it feels like it pulls at my kneecap. It is my left knee and when I go up or down stairs it hurts. I have applied heat and ice but it does not appear to be going away. There is a little pain in the back also. I have had my right knee xrayed and have had an MRI and have a torn lateral and medial miscus that needs to be repaired as well as a baker cyst on the back.
Avatar f tn It als folds even when I have an erection almost like the knee does, what do u do?
Avatar n tn Another thing I wanted to add is that she says her knee hurts the most when she lifts her leg and it pops when she bends it sometimes. I've been really worried about it and I really hope it's nothing really bad wrong with it. They gave her crutches and a thing she has to keep wrapped around her knee when we went to the hospital. The doctor said that it might be a torn ligament and it may take 8 to 10 days to get better. He told us to go to the orthopedic doctor just to be sure though.
Avatar f tn My doc told me to get ankle weights and do leg raises and that hurts even more than walking. Every year I go for my yearly physical when he bends twists and moves my right knee it has a popping sound like when people crack their fingers almost but it hurts. What can I do? I am desperate.
Avatar m tn As you can tell I am very concerned about this, especially my right knee. I feel like the pain is behind the knee, on the back where the leg bends. I don't feel it when I walk, only when I twist it a little in a slightly awkward position. Im concerned because ive read joint/muscle pain can be a symptom of HIV. My final question is do you think I should wait 3 months from the last handjob and test again? I'm terrified the combination of body acne/knee pain is seroconversion.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both knees, and suffer from joint pain in my left hip ever since my last knee surgery(lft) . I think this is partly because after my left knee surgery, the joint now hypo-extends about 15 degrees. I think that is the correct term, it bends backwards,,lol. anyhow, this causes my hip alignment to be off. My question is this, how do I approach my Primary care Doctor about refering me to a pain management program?
Avatar f tn When my daughter was 2 1/2 she broke her leg when she bounced down on a trampoline. We think she had her legs crossed and bent under her when she landed (this from her 10 year old cousin). All the adults saw her bounce up, no one saw her when she landed until she started screaming. She had a hairline fracture about 1.5 to 2 inches right below the knee on the front of the Tibia on her right leg.
Avatar f tn Older woman here, developed knee pain 2 months ago. It thankfully went away, but then about a week ago started hurting again, this time in different location, just to the left and medial of my knee cap. Every step is excruciating, only way to describe it. Guess I have meniscus tear? But has anyone experienced this type of horrible pain with Every Step? If so did you find a remedy?
Avatar f tn I woke up 2 days ago (Saturday) with a bruise like pain on the inside of my right knee. It is slightly above where the knee bends, on the side of my leg though. It is very tender to the touch, feels exactally like a bruise when poked. When I looked for any marks for the pain there was nothing. However when I checked again later in the evening it had started to turn red. Now it is quite red and the area is about 3 inches in diameter.
Avatar m tn As a result, my sciatic pain goes all the way down my leg to my big toe. I found the pain varied with different activities but could be present while lying down, sitting, walking, bending, swimming, etc. I'm 7 and one-half months from my injury and can finally say that my sciatica is bearable. I started a postural exercise program called the Egoscue Method and it has worked wonders for my daily functioning. I hope your partner does get some diagnositics.
Avatar m tn When I fold my left feet, I feel a bump on the inner side of the knee. When the foot is stretched I cant see the bump. I did not find it earlier. It must have developed in last few months. It surely was not there. Or at least it did not pained earlier. Even now it does not pain much. Occasionally and very slightly. But it pains (again not too much) when I fold my knee fully. So I avoid folding my left feet fully.
Avatar f tn Since that day I can not kneel down on my right knee whithout this horrible pain. When not kneeling there is no noticeable pain. What could it be??
