Avatar f tn I'm already like that at 23w2d.. I seriously toss from left to right because my hips and knees kill me.. which ever side I lay on, that hip & knee wake me up.. I sleep with a pillow between my legs (always have) & that doesn't help with the pain.. mine reaches from my face to my calves.. I'm short haha! BUT my fiancé & I use 2 separate comforters.. I toss too much, my body temperature is insane, and I pee a lot..
Avatar n tn What would cause a pain that runs down outside of leg from a little below the hip to below the knee? It happens more often when sitting or laying down, if I do not keep the leg straight. It even wakes me up from sleep if I bend the leg. I would describe it has very uncomfortable, frustrating and it just plain hurts. My doctor took x=rays of knee which were normal and gave me shot in knee which didn't help.
Avatar n tn I started having these symptoms a few days ago. Started with pain on the right side of my back just below my rib cage. The pain radiated to my side and the right side of my abdomen. Though the pain in my side and abdomen is more of a dull aching pain and the pain in my back is a sharper pain. I also feel the pain sometimes when I take a deep breath. I don't feel the pain as much when sitting up or standing. It is most relevant when I am laying down.
Avatar f tn Laying flat on your back is worse than laying in your right side. I do sometimes but only for like a minute to help with back pains. Ask your doctor they'll be able to explain it better.
Avatar f tn i'm a dancer and I can't extend my knee anymore. I don't know what I did to mess it up. but even laying down i have to force myself to extend it. every time i get it extended it sends sharp pain from the lower part of my knee up to my hip bone. I'm only 20 so the thought of knee replacement scares me half to death. I can't start my career in dance until my knee is back to normal.. i've tried icing it, stretching it, biofreeze you name it i've probably tried it.
10221785 tn?1410990458 Well I just got off and I have to be back to work in 45 minutes. I layed on the couch and my right side just doesn't feel right! I'm not sure how to describe it. It started about an hour ago and laying down doesn't relieve the pain. Should I call off tomorrow? I have to go back tonight and work til 1am and be back in the morning to work 10-5 but I'd really like to try and rest. Next week will be worse because I work a double everyday. What should I do?
Avatar f tn He took x-rays of his knee standing and laying down. Said his joint looked good. Drew off some fluid off his knee and gave him an cortizone shot. His knee was better for about a week then started swelling again. So the orthopedic doc sent him to a rhuemetologist. He had an MRI and that came back fine. The rhuemetologist wasn't sure why his knee was swelling. He did an ultrasound and drew off some more fluid and gave him another cortizone shot.
Avatar m tn I was putting in padded flooring in my home gym for about 4 hours. Since then I've had pain in my right knee only when kneeling on my right knee (like when tying shoes). It's to the side of the knee and feels like something is being stretched laterally at first, before I get a sharp pain that feels like it's stinging/tingly. It is not completely on the side of my knee, but in the softer area to the side of my knee cap.
Avatar f tn Hi there, I was riding a horse and my foot got caught on a panel and the horse kept going. This happened 3 days ago. It's hard to walk. I have swelling and pain on the inner side of my knee. I can bend my knee approx 45°. When I'm sitting or laying down I can straighten my leg but when I'm standing I can't seem to straighten it. My knee cap feels awkward when I try to. When I stand up from sitting i get an excruciating pain and blood rush feeling through my knee.
Avatar f tn 5 months ago I had bilateral knee replacement, I am having sharp pain behind my right knee. This started about one month back. It usually only happens when i am laying down, but now is happenning when I am sitting. The pain is very sharp wakes me up.Other than this pain I am doing great, but i just want to know if this is just part of the healing process or is there a problem?
Avatar f tn I woke up an hour ago due to my knee hurting. And then the pain made it's way to my ankle. So I'm laying here with a terrible pain from my knee down and nothing I've tried (walking, stretching, massage, tylenol) has helped. I just want sleep ): lol is there anything else I can try to make it go away?
Avatar m tn Well, for almost two months now, I have intermittent lung crackles when laying down or reclining, and they are usually especially noticeable when I wake up from sleep at night or when I wake up in the morning. They are virtually non-existent during the day. The sound usually begins as a single pop in the center of my chest and occurs at late-inspiration, and sometimes one or more pops follow it, at varied areas across my chest.
Avatar f tn For the past year and a half I have noticed my arrythmia getting much worse, particularly when laying down. I saw the cardiologist once again and he sent me for a second stress-test. When I was attending the stress test, I told the doctor and the technician that the arrythmia was worse when laying down they still had me sit up and then later said that maybe I should have been tested supine. The tech said that I should probably be put on the halter again.
237053 tn?1258828426 When I lay down for what ever reason I feel my sx get worse sometimes. Like at night my legs, feet, and arms, hands really ache. Avatar f tn When i lay down it feels like i can't really breathe, I've noticed this for 2 weeks I'm 21 weeks , is there anything i can do ? What causes this?
Avatar m tn When i am sitting on a chair and i straighten my left leg the pain occurs, and there must be something wrong because my right knee is fine. I also get the pain when i am lying in bed. The pain is most apparent when i lift my left knee cap, you know how you can tense or whatever and your knee cap will move up.sometimes along with the pain i get twitching in my knee, i dont know what it is that twitches, but sometimes its rapid twitching that passes quickly.
Avatar f tn Not sure if its just me but I feel like I can only really feel my baby moving around at night time when I'm laying on my sides .. in 19 weeks and I havent felt a strong kick jusy some movements but am I the only one that cant feel my baby during the day ?
Avatar f tn s orders since my back surgery. I have no pain walking, no pain while sitting, no pain in the car, no pain laying down, The ONLY time this hits me is when I'm sitting down! It's weird. I have had to out weight on my arms by placing them on a table or arm chair before I can start sitting, The pain is still there, it's just tolerable enough to get my fanny on th seat!
Avatar f tn Ever since then it grinds and pops like a car going over gravel, sore aches when idle, pain when bearing weight (going up/down stairs etc) and when lying down and bending the knee. Is this really all just down to ‘slight wear to the meniscus’? How should I go about it now as I really need to do something as I can’t progress in my job if it remains like this? For that reason, I really am open for any treatment options. Thank you so much and I hope I’ve posted in the right place!
Avatar f tn Hey all, I know it's been a while, I decided to take time off from my health even though my health hasn't exactly agreed to take a break from me! ;) I am writing tonight because I have been experience g a rather uncomfortable problem that became severe last night. Let's just say...my whole ignore it and it will go away tactic didn't work.
Avatar m tn I am almost 20 years old and am pretty active. I really enjoy running but recently (about a week ago) I ran 3 miles, which is really nothing for me, but about the middle of my run, i had this really sharp pain in my left knee. This particular knee has had complications like soreness and tightness before. This time though, the pain was much worse. I ended up running an 8 mile route yesterday and once again, the pain was horrible.
