knee-pain

Avatar f tn Since that day I can not kneel down on my right knee whithout this horrible pain. When not kneeling there is no noticeable pain. What could it be??
Avatar m tn I was putting in padded flooring in my home gym for about 4 hours. Since then I've had pain in my right knee only when kneeling on my right knee (like when tying shoes). It's to the side of the knee and feels like something is being stretched laterally at first, before I get a sharp pain that feels like it's stinging/tingly. It is not completely on the side of my knee, but in the softer area to the side of my knee cap.
Avatar n tn SO I AM HAVING PRETTY EXTREME PAIN ONLY WHEN KNEEING ON LEFT KNEE--USUALLY DOMINATE KNEE THAT I ALWAYS KNEE ON WITH ALL MY WIEGHT ON FIRST. DOESNT HURT TO WALK ON OR BEND OR ANY OTHER MOTION. RECENTLY I CAN FEEL SENSATIONS FROM A LITTLE BELOW MY KNEE LIKE "PINS AND NEEDLES" BUT VERY SLIGHT. I CAN LIGHTLY TOUCH BELOW CENTER OF KNEE AND FEEL SAME PAIN WITH VERY LITTLE PRESSURE LIKE A SLIGHT RUB.
Avatar f tn When I walk my legs are fine but when I kneel down on my right leg it feels like my right knee the muscle in there is like stretching this a stinging pain it's on the right side of my knee any suggestions on what I could do if it's serious like a torn muscle but it only happens when I kneel down walking is fine it's like just putting pressure on the knee kneeling down
Avatar f tn appeared without being aware, pain outside of right knee ONLY when when forget and kneel down quickly. It feels like what I imaging gout to feel like - kneeling on glass - but without the swelling. Ice and heat don't help. Kneeling on a soft, spongy surface is fine if positioned carefully. Very sharp pain but leaves quickl, especially if rubbed. Been sitting with my knee bent at computer so slightly aware of it but normally not. Nothing in the threads to date sounds like the problem.
Avatar f tn Slowly, this has got worse and for about a year now, some pain is also there when lying down or in the morning. But as soon as I get up and walk, there is no pain at all and I can run and walk without any difficulties. Stretching exercise appear to ease it. Once I forgot myself and knelt quickly, resulting in collapsing with a severe cramp-like pain throughout my whole body. Recently, I noticed a similar slight pain in my upper left arm.
Avatar f tn I have the same knee pain when kneeling on my right knee...for a few years at least now. I thought it had gone away but rediscovered it while my son was taking a ride on my back. It is like kneeling on a tack very sharp pin pointed pain.
Avatar f tn however I now find that when I kneel on my right knee I get a needle like pain - similar to the feeling of a plaster being ripped off my knee on right side. I can run, jump etc but kneeling is excruciating. Can anyone advise if this is temporary - that some rest might fix or could I have damaged something requiring further investigation. Part of my knee is also numb since fall and have throbbing sensation but no swelling.
Avatar f tn In my job, I am on my knees frequently. A few weeks ago I started to notice a pain in my right knee when kneeling. The pain is localized, kind of like a pin *****-- feels more like it is in the skin as opposed to being a bone or joint issue. The pain is not illicited by any manual pressure, only the kneeling, which I do often enough that this has become very frustrating. Your advice in this matter would be very well appreciated. Thanks!
Avatar m tn I have knee pain in my right knee when I kneel down on it.About a year ago the same knee for some reason unknown to me got very swollen & had to use crutches for about a week. Anyway when I kneel down it is like kneeling on a tack. Then it has a sensation of a rug burn to the touch. After about five times of this happening I looked more closely. On the right lower outer edge of knee cap it gets a swell pocket. It does not swell up the entire knee just this oval like shaped pocket.
Avatar m tn If I kneel on my left knee I get a sharp pain like my knee is kneeling on a pin that is digging into my knee. It is a sharp enough pain for me to get right back up off it and switch to my other knee. I work in a convenience store and have to kneel down to get into certain places so I feel this pain every time I kneel on my left knee. The pain is the bottom of my knee cap on the left side of my left knee.
Avatar m tn I was kneeling down, not in a akward position and when I got up I heard I pop in my right knee, it was very painful, the pain went away after a few minutes, I have had a few pops before but never loud or very painful and the pain always went away, but not this time, This time after about a week my knee is still sore and I'm afraid to kneel down because there is still a small pain and discomrfort and feels like is going to happen again. Do I need to see a doctor?
Avatar n tn i am constantly on my feet and struggle getting up from kneeling. i have pain when playing sport and when im relaxing. my knee does constantly pop and click. anyone got any ideas that would help me would be great.
Avatar m tn I am suffering with the same thing. Right knee only. Any pressure on it (ie, kneeling) sends a pain that feels like a plaster being ripped off my skin on the right side of my leg - I feel like if I pull up my trouser leg, one of my veins will have exploded but there is nothing there. It has been going on for about 3 weeks with no noticeable trigger. I suffer with water retention and swollen ankles in the heat but can't think what it could be.
Avatar f tn Yesterday I was photographing a wedding and I kneeled down and as soon as my knee hit the ground I had a severe pain just below my knee. It felt like I was kneeling right on my bone and something was stabbing it. I got up and seemed okay. About 30 minutes later just below my knee started to throb and swell. I now have a lump about 2 inches below my knee cap and it is swollen and extremely painful. It is warm to touch and slightly red and bruised.
Avatar f tn Ankle went and I fell onto my left knee. People with me were more worried about my knee but most pain was in the ankle at the time so I was completely unconcerned by the knee. I got up and walked to my meeting, then went to a doctor who briefly glanced at my knee and gave it the all clear, and diagnosed a sprain in my ankle. Five weeks later an xray showed a fracture to my right ankle (lateral malleolus).
Avatar f tn I was told that I have patella feminel pain, I am use to having trouble kneeling and walking after a shift at work and and my knee being weak and the knee cap moving around, but lately even when I am not doing anything it feels as though something is push up on my knee cap, and extremely painful and I cant get the pain to go away. At time it feels as though something is being wedged under my knee cap.
Avatar n tn er and swimmer I am pretty fit and active in every other way, and do not experience any other pain in any other knee position or activity with my knees. There is no pain inside my knee joint or to the sides or behind my knees. When I press my fingers on my knee I can feel that is a bit grissly in small areas with some sensitivity. Any ideas on the reason would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn It is usually associated with significant pain when kneeling and can cause stiffness and pain with walking. Also, in contrast to problems within the knee joint, the range of motion of the knee is frequently preserved. Consult a orthopedician for further assistance. Best.
Avatar n tn While there is some kneeling I wear a brace and still experience swelling and pain. I am stepping down to a lower position in 3 months to 40 hrs. Is their anything besides ice I can do for the swelling ?.
Avatar n tn I do not but am a physical therapist that had a patient experiencing this recently. She had a 2 year history of chronic headaches with no diagnosis despite multiple scans. She was sent to me for thigh muscle strain that appeared the morning after sitting crosslegged on the floor painting. Pain initially was in her left thigh and groin then progressed to involve the right thigh and groin.
Avatar f tn Sometimes I get a strange mild cold sensation in the knee or occasionally, a quick sharp pain. I am not having any trouble walking, and I do not have constant pain when it happens.
Avatar m tn Now its the constant nagging pain, and stiffness that bother me. Especially when kneeling, squatting, and going up and down inclines and declines. I used to jog regularly. Now its just walking on a treadmill. Am I destined to remain this way until the day comes that my knee needs to be replaced? I`ve had cortisone shots with little relief. And I take glucosomine pills now too. Is there anything else surgically or otherwise that might help?
Avatar f tn Has any one got experience of a birth lying down compared to standing, kneeling posotions or does the pain make lying down the easiet option?
Avatar f tn t walk up or down stairs or hills without more pain. There is also pain when I inadvertently twist my knee (if I turn while walking) or if I try to get up from a sitting position by placing most of my weight on that leg. My confusion lies in the usual symptoms of meniscal injuries - I've had no swelling, my knee doesn't lock completely. Is this a meniscal tear? Could it be that an old injury is starting to cause this years later?
1524304 tn?1326396974 I can feel some pain flaring up which feels like inside the knee or under the kneecap, but when I change the position or move the weight away the pain disappears. I was walking some today. It was okay. Got home and it starting to have this slight locking up feeling if I move it wrong. I had a classmate who torn her meniscus during volleyball game by twisting her leg upper part with foot steady on the floor.
