At present the pain is continuous with sharp added pains which worsen when i sit. it is excrutiating at times in my left calf to mid knee and sometimes travels to the thigh.
I am a diabetic but I have lost over 85 lbs and my blood sugar levels are well under control for the last 10 years. I have taken ibuprofen which does not help. the doctor gave me arthrotec and i have taken it for three days. it didnt help tonight. i am taking a pain killer but i hate taking them.
Yesterday, I went to sit on the couch like I usually sit and when I twisted my right leg to the right to sit, I felt a sudden sharp pain in my knee. I sat for a while and the pain went away but every time I bend my knee I feel the pain again and feel discomfort in my kneecap. I went to bed, hoping the pain would go away but it still hurts when I bend my knee. What could this be? I will probably be visiting the doctor soon but for now what do you suggest?
I got right up and continued the day. Ofcourse the knee hurt. When I was bending on my knees on the floor, the right knee was very painful. I thought it was temporary and would go away as my knee healed. There are no bruises on my knee and it gives me no problem EXCEPT when I am on the floor on bended knees and the pain below my knee (between top of shin and knee) is excruciating. But no pain otherwise.. Any ideas???
Lateral knee pain and after walking awhile the back of knee hurts. Pain worst when bend knee or go up and down stairs. Pain always there just worst when bend it. Pain has woke me up at night if sleep with knee bent. Xray snd MRI normal so orthopedic said PT and if pain continues come back in a month. PT has me in tears. Should I get second opinion could MRI been read wrong. Help me i feel crazy and feel that the pain is in my head.
there is no definitive test for fibro - they do tests to rule out other diseases - is the pain in your knee or on the outside of the leg at your knee or the inside of the leg near your knee and have they checked for osteoarthritis - you said behind the knee - do you mean behind the patella (knee cap) or at the back of your leg behind the knee - try to be very precise when telling the doctor where exactly the pain is coming from - i dont know much about ms but i know pain comes with it - i belie
I twisted my knee and when it happen I heard and felt a pop on the inside of my knee. Also, now when I walk, I have pain and crackling on the outside, under the knee. When I am walking and I have to turn or piviot, I get a pain that runs the inside of my knee. And now I can just be standing there and my knee feels like it is really loose and feels like I hyperextended in, the knee pushes back. How ling should I wait to go to the doctor or should I continue to try and heal it myself.
A week ago I went to my doctor because I was having pain in my left foot,.lateral foot pain. It's been going on for about 6 weeks. It would dull ache most of the time with sudden bouts of extreme pain in which it felt like a knife was digging in my foot. He did an xray and said it wasn't broken and prescribed anti-inflammatory medication. A week later and now I can't bend my left knee back and it's hurting to put pain on my knee.
I have had this weird feeling in my knees and also some popping but only when i bend it, if i sit for more than two minutes my knee gets tight, sort of like my knuckles before i crack them, i am overweight but my knees don't hurt when i walk just when i sit or have to bend them at all also if i sit for a longer time and feel the need to stretch my legs out i feel as though my whole kneecap is rotating with my leg it's hard to explain but its as if i can feel my bones moving and grinding
Hey im not sure if this is it but I recently had knee surgury because of the same problem, I had torn the outer miniscus in my knee they had to go in and trim the cartlige out it feels way better but still hurts sometimes, the only thing that helped before my surgury was hot then cold packs ibuprofen and alieve.
I have a pain in the back of my right knee. I can sit for about 5 or 10 min and when I get up I feel like I am going to fall. When I lay in bed it aches. Its just the back of my right knee and I can feel that it is swollen. Can anyone help me with this pain. I have tried icy hot cream and bengay hot towels.
I have little sharp pains on the high outside part of my left knee. Upon touch I have like a bruising feeling on the high inside of my left knee. And when I bend down I have a sharp pain in the back of my knee and I hear and feel that popping sound. I've been active all my life, sports, ect.. so I've always had pain come and go. I just run and hike now that I'm 37 y/o. I don't have any grinding, locking, or catching.
I need advice on what to do about the pain in my knee. I got into a small accident while biking last weekend. While biking along the main stretch of town, I collided with the side of a pick-up truck backing out between two buildings. He couldn't see me and I didn't see him until it was too late. Neither one of us was going very fast and there wasn't even any damage to my clothes from where I hit the pavement, so I figured the bumps and bruises were going to be the end of it.
I have not been able to sleep or sit for more than 1 hr before intense pain forces me to massage around the knee, front and back. When this happens the knee feels like stone and I am unable to lift it without using my hands. It then takes me up to a minute before my knee will allow me to walk without feeling that the spongy feeling and pain will cause it to give out. I have been going to physio 3 X a week for 3 and one half months.
I feel it when I sit on it wrong, sit near it wrong, if I rock my ankle getting into the car, if I flex my ankle backwards or up .... it shoots down though the outer middle of the calf/shin area into the top of my foot to my little toes!
If I rub the leg, or press on it ... sometime I feel swelling and it sends these light shock waves/tingles from the spot and down ...
I'm 42, I'm not diabetic.
What is it? ... is it fractured?
Maybe a compressed nerve or compartment?
By the way, i play fencing 6 years ago and I quit playing 2 years ago. I assume that the pain was from an injury when I play fencing, but the pain started after I quit fencing, so I'm not so sure. And i also have scoliosis, and that probably effects my right leg being longer than my left leg.

My husband had an embolic stroke in September, 2005. His left side was affected. A couple of months ago his left leg, behind the knee. has been aching, and won't relax to the point where he can't sit comfortably or sleep. The pain is increasing to the point now where his leg feels weak when he stands on it and walks. I was trying to rub it last night, and it felt like there was a knot there. Suggestions?
Really can't stick this pain much longer !! Having really bad pain in both knees can't walk up stairs or down hurts to bed or even sit someone help !!
Older woman here, developed knee pain 2 months ago. It thankfully went away, but then about a week ago started hurting again, this time in different location, just to the left and medial of my knee cap. Every step is excruciating, only way to describe it. Guess I have meniscus tear? But has anyone experienced this type of horrible pain with Every Step? If so did you find a remedy?
Three days ago I started taking Ibuprofen 4 each x 3 a day and pain went away and I bought inserts for my work shoes but the swelling persists I have a job where in the last month or so I have had to sit most all day at work some days and other days I have to make rounds where I walk a mile or so a day. My pain would come when I would get up from sitting.
yes hello my name is JP and the last few days my anus has been feeling a lil sore not to much pain but every now and again i will get like a sharp sting. also i have found when i wipe that there is sumtimes a lil bit of bright red blood but only on the toilet paper.. I am kinda scared my dad told me that its probly herromohids but im not sure i think it might be anal fissures cause i have been feeling kinda constipuated..
It started two days ago after finishing a hike with steep declines and seems to happen most with lateral movement. I can see it move when I lay down and bend my knee slowly and it appears to be a tendon (or vein or nerve maybe) passing over a bone. There is no sound when this happens. It does not hurt, but it is uncomfortable and my knee feels a little weak (although this may be in my head). It does not seem to be getting better or worse since I noticed it.
i am expereincing bad knee pain while i sit and get up and its so bad that i cant even pick up my child 7 months old i do a lot of walking and since i was under constant stress during the past month is it because of that because i dont feel the pain while standing only while i bend on kness or try to put stress on knees, i am a first time mom 27 yrs and had a csection please advise me.
However from the past few months I am experiencing pain in my knee whenever I bend it. It is not a continuous pain but its like a shooting pain when I bend my leg (like in the bathroom or climbing stairs etc). I mentioned this to my Dr and she checked and said the ligaments are perfect and there is no swelling. But I want to know what this pain is if everything is perfect. I am 32 yrs old and it is getting hard for me to sit on the floor or get up. This is obviously not normal.
