Avatar f tn Are you taking any vitamin supplements like vitamin D or calcium? Vitamin D makes your muscles feel better, I take 1000 units a day of it and it helps immensely with the muscle pains. A good thing to do for your knee is doing some simple exercises. When your sitting down, pull your legs up and flex your thigh muscles, this will help strengthen the muscles around your knee.

1378884 tn?1315505845 When first diagnosed I could not walk up a flight of stairs due to the intense general knee pain. Now it comes back intermittently for a day or two then it subsides but does not fully go away. I have also felt like I cannot stretch my tendons in my legs enough even after warming them up and stretching for 30 min. I am 55 and have done many bad things to my knees over the years but nothing like this has happened before.

Avatar f tn I had gastric bypass surgery & now that ive lost 82 lbs, im having more knee pain than before the surgery. I would occasionally have knee pain when I was extremely overweight whenever going up & down stairs. Now that I ve lost the weight, my knees hurt more often & I have to be careful when stepping up or down stairs, or bending over to pick something up off the floor. Is this because im not working out at all?

I am taking Sandocal with vitamin D3 since last 64 days but still I haivng pain in muscles and bones and swelling in fingers. Pain is very cronic before periods. Avatar f tn Check your vitamin D levels with 25OH vitamin D blood test. Low D and low magnesium cause cause insomnia, anxiety, depression, muscle/bone pain, etc. You want you D levels above 50ng/mL.
Avatar f tn Vitamin B12 deficiency was tested for? The vitamin D is within normal limit but on the lower range. You can take vitamin D fortified foods, and move out in sunlight more often. Also, autoimmune disorders should be tested for. Please discuss this with your doctor. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.

The doctor did a blood test an noticed my vitamin d was very low at 17. He gave me 20k tablets and had to take 5 a day for 3 days. 3144288 tn?1349671441 i found out that i was vitamin d deficient in 2009 after having spent most of my life in pain and being called a hypochondriac which didnt help my depression or suicidal tendancies one bit. my vitamin d level was 8.1ng/ml at the time and increased to 8.6ng/ml after treatment with rocaltrol 0.25mg daily and Calciferol 50 000iu weekly. I work in the Congo every alternate month so sunlight is definately not an issue.
Avatar f tn i was told about a week ago that i have a vitamin d defiency. my level was 15. my question is could all the pain be from the vitamin d defiency or from fibromyalgia? also having shoulder pain although not everyday.
Avatar f tn My problem started with an aweful pain in my right hand. My Vitamin D was 19 at the time and I started my dosage was 50,000 unit/week for 2 months. Today they took some blood to check how the Vitamin D looks now after those 2 months. I guess we will see. I went to rheumatologist few times. They thought I have an autoimmune disease but everything came back negative. Hand pain is still there, now I have a problem with my hip.

2217782 tn?1394363972 Recently read that almost all of us do not have the amount of Vitamin D that we need. I would recommend adding a good otc multi vitamin into your diet. Or one of those hardcore 500 mg Calcium vitamin D pills or both! Hang in there and hope you get everything situated.
Avatar m tn Last year I had my Vitamin D levels checked and it came back high, 201. The doctor said it was at toxic levels and I should stop taking any Vitamin D supplements. (I was taking 1000 mg a day.). One year later and the test came back at 149. What would cause such high levels of Vitamin D?
Avatar n tn I strongly urge you to look online at mercola.com and use his search engine to type in vitamin D. He has written a lot about vitamin D. He suggests to also subscribe to the Vitamin D Council newsletters. I learned by reading these newsletters that it is necessary to take a normal amount of magnesium for the body to absorb sufficient vitamin D.
Avatar n tn I take 2000 mg of vitamin D, and it causes no pain. I feel much better when I take it. I used to be deficient. I would not stop the vitamin D. Perhaps you need other vitamins and minerals in addition, but the vitamin D shouldn't cause problems. Try calcium tablets and glutamate powder at night for the hip discomfort. Try magnesium in the morning at 500 IU.
