SO I AM HAVING PRETTY EXTREME PAIN ONLY WHEN KNEEING ON LEFT KNEE--USUALLY DOMINATE KNEE THAT I ALWAYS KNEE ON WITH ALL MY WIEGHT ON FIRST. DOESNT HURT TO WALK ON OR BEND OR ANY OTHER MOTION. RECENTLY I CAN FEEL SENSATIONS FROM A LITTLE BELOW MY KNEE LIKE "PINS AND NEEDLES" BUT VERY SLIGHT. I CAN LIGHTLY TOUCH BELOW CENTER OF KNEE AND FEEL SAME PAIN WITH VERY LITTLE PRESSURE LIKE A SLIGHT RUB.
however I now find that when I kneel on my right knee I get a needle like pain - similar to the feeling of a plaster being ripped off my knee on right side. I can run, jump etc but kneeling is excruciating. Can anyone advise if this is temporary - that some rest might fix or could I have damaged something requiring further investigation. Part of my knee is also numb since fall and have throbbing sensation but no swelling.
In my job, I am on my knees frequently. A few weeks ago I started to notice a pain in my right knee when kneeling. The pain is localized, kind of like a pin *****-- feels more like it is in the skin as opposed to being a bone or joint issue. The pain is not illicited by any manual pressure, only the kneeling, which I do often enough that this has become very frustrating. Your advice in this matter would be very well appreciated. Thanks!
I was putting in padded flooring in my home gym for about 4 hours. Since then I've had pain in my right knee only when kneeling on my right knee (like when tying shoes). It's to the side of the knee and feels like something is being stretched laterally at first, before I get a sharp pain that feels like it's stinging/tingly. It is not completely on the side of my knee, but in the softer area to the side of my knee cap.
When I walk my legs are fine but when I kneel down on my right leg it feels like my right knee the muscle in there is like stretching this a stinging pain it's on the right side of my knee any suggestions on what I could do if it's serious like a torn muscle but it only happens when I kneel down walking is fine it's like just putting pressure on the knee kneeling down
About 5 years ago, I found that kneeling caused a severe cramp-like pain in the back of my calves, also in the back of my thighs. Slowly, this has got worse and for about a year now, some pain is also there when lying down or in the morning. But as soon as I get up and walk, there is no pain at all and I can run and walk without any difficulties. Stretching exercise appear to ease it.
I have knee pain in my right knee when I kneel down on it.About a year ago the same knee for some reason unknown to me got very swollen & had to use crutches for about a week. Anyway when I kneel down it is like kneeling on a tack. Then it has a sensation of a rug burn to the touch. After about five times of this happening I looked more closely. On the right lower outer edge of knee cap it gets a swell pocket. It does not swell up the entire knee just this oval like shaped pocket.

Ankle went and I fell onto my left knee. People with me were more worried about my knee but most pain was in the ankle at the time so I was completely unconcerned by the knee. I got up and walked to my meeting, then went to a doctor who briefly glanced at my knee and gave it the all clear, and diagnosed a sprain in my ankle.
Five weeks later an xray showed a fracture to my right ankle (lateral malleolus).
I was told that I have patella feminel pain, I am use to having trouble kneeling and walking after a shift at work and and my knee being weak and the knee cap moving around, but lately even when I am not doing anything it feels as though something is push up on my knee cap, and extremely painful and I cant get the pain to go away. At time it feels as though something is being wedged under my knee cap.
I was kneeling down, not in a akward position and when I got up I heard I pop in my right knee, it was very painful, the pain went away after a few minutes, I have had a few pops before but never loud or very painful and the pain always went away, but not this time, This time after about a week my knee is still sore and I'm afraid to kneel down because there is still a small pain and discomrfort and feels like is going to happen again.
Do I need to see a doctor?
er and swimmer I am pretty fit and active in every other way, and do not experience any other pain in any other knee position or activity with my knees. There is no pain inside my knee joint or to the sides or behind my knees. When I press my fingers on my knee I can feel that is a bit grissly in small areas with some sensitivity. Any ideas on the reason would be appreciated.
Yesterday I was photographing a wedding and I kneeled down and as soon as my knee hit the ground I had a severe pain just below my knee. It felt like I was kneeling right on my bone and something was stabbing it. I got up and seemed okay. About 30 minutes later just below my knee started to throb and swell. I now have a lump about 2 inches below my knee cap and it is swollen and extremely painful. It is warm to touch and slightly red and bruised.
I have had pain in my right knee under the knee cap.its gradually getting worse and kneeling or going up and downstairs(particularly going upstairs ) causes quite severe pain .it has given way at times as well.I've seen my doc who is sending me for physio and to see a specialist where she said he will probably have to perform a knee wash .does anyone know what might case this pain is and what a knee wash is?
It does not cause a lot of pain, just a mild ache here and there. It is not a result of bumping the knee. It seems to happen if I have been kneeling, even in church. I never know when it will occur. Sometimes I get a strange mild cold sensation in the knee or occasionally, a quick sharp pain. I am not having any trouble walking, and I do not have constant pain when it happens.
there is no definitive test for fibro - they do tests to rule out other diseases - is the pain in your knee or on the outside of the leg at your knee or the inside of the leg near your knee and have they checked for osteoarthritis - you said behind the knee - do you mean behind the patella (knee cap) or at the back of your leg behind the knee - try to be very precise when telling the doctor where exactly the pain is coming from - i dont know much about ms but i know pain comes with it - i belie
I was in Japan last year, and suddenly I couldn't walk without help. I went to a doctor, and my girlfriend at the time translated for me since the doctor and I didn't speak one another's language. At first, the doctor was fairly dismissive, saying I probably just drank too much the night before. After she took the x-rays, however, she became much more concerned. Thanks for writing in. Pain in the knee cap usually refers to injury or under development of patella. Conditions causing this could be patellar bursitis, chodromalacia, patellar and quadriceps tendon rupture, fracture of the patella, subluxation and dislocation of patella.
In your case, it is injury due to over use. It could most likely be pre-patellar bursitis, which causes pain during movement, limited movement and swelling.
) to keep my face from smashing into the ground i landed kneeling on my right knee - white hot pain - bye bye vision for a good 30 seconds. I was able to get my self up, but since then i've been in pain have medial swelling over the release site, and the joint is hot. Did i just undo everything? or i just aggrevate an already bad situation?
Got all the pills and drained right knee. If its not better he has to cut.
Previous hx of pre patellar bursitis to R knee in October - ongoing pain since, not any worse, no swelling, no redness, note had abscess at time and burst itself, treated with oral antibiotics, xray in october of R knee showed acute bursitis, but also benign healing fibrous cortical defect of the posteromedial femoral metaphysis, patient states unable to exercise properly, struggles to kneel on her knee, good flexion, no fevers, no rash, - given f2f appt to review knee, ?
