Felt pain in right knee when pulling sofa forward about 4months ago. At the time I had no swelling , no continuous pain or knee wasn't buckling. However, when I've tried running I can't totally put weight on right knee. When I'm lying on my back, and bend my leg there's no pain. When I starighten my leg I can feel pain.ive tried holding my leg halfway and the pain is there around my right knee.ive not been to doctors because I have no "major symptoms".

I been having a sharp pain in my Right knee when I kneel down on it.The pain is right below the knee cap on the r.side.The area also turns alittle numb to the touch.Is there something I can do to fix the problem or do I have to see a Orthopedic doctor.

but it bothers me because i can tell my upper right side on my right knee is a bit bigger than the left side. and when it hurts i used to touch it and i can feel like a muscle on it and has a weird feeling when i touch it. it doesnt feels like a cyst or lump. Its not very painful but im just worried why is it like this? I had an x ray few year ago but the one who reads it said theres nothing on it.

I have bad knee pain in my right side only its sore wen i bend it and straighten it, if i leave it bent for too long it can sometimes lock, what is this? can it be arthiritis?

right knee painI have noticed recently that when I go to knell on my right knee it feels like it has a stone in it and then feels like a hot poker. Once I am on the knee for a bit it is ok but it happens each time. I do run and I have no issues while or after running. Any suggestions?

the pain moves in joint space, you must feel you are unable to straighten your knee and pain get worst. your knee become frail, swell and stiff. The pain lasts for a long time. If you have any of these symptoms, contact to a Orthopedist.

I injured my right knee (injured knee as it sharply moved laterally to the right) in 05. I initially had pain below my knee cap and to the right of it as well as in the IT band area. One yr later, mild, occasional tingling in bottom of right foot started but only when I “stressed” my knee (run, swim, bike etc). From the beginning when I injured it, pain in my knee was very mild unless I exercised then it was much worse to the point of not being able to exercise at all.

The other leg is perfectly fine in those positions, suffering from neither the stiffness nor the pain in those positions. There is never any swelling in the problem knee. I have some crepitis in both knees but have had this for 10 years with no pain (basically some crackling noise when going up stairs).

In getting both left and right knee replacements, is there a difference in the replacement parts, left vs right? In other words, can 100% identical replacement parts be used for both left and right knees?

I had some mild pain in the calf of my left leg. My doctor said it is not a clot. The pain has gotten extensively worse now affecting the knee. I went back to doctor and the doctor said it is arthritis of the knee and that, at this point, no tests were necessary. Well, in spite of anti-inflammatory meds, I cannot put my full weight down on my leg without pain that seems more concentrated directly under the knee. I am walking around limping.

Did you do your PT after surgery? I had surgery back in Mar 2012 for this. I had intense thearpy 2 x weekly for about 2 months. I have my full range of motion BUT like you my knee cap gets off track & I have to jerk my knee back in a quick motion or try to maunevere it until I can hear the pop. It is called an unstable knee cap. Look on line for knee excersices you can do to strengthen your knee muscles & ligaments & even the knee cap. You need thearpy, not pain management.

( but i have a lot of pain in my knee, and my hip today. I sometimes get this pain that radiates from my ankles, up to my knee and right now i just feel it in my knee, its a very uncomfortable feeling.

However, my pain became worst so I was sent to a pain management doctor who know has me on 15mg OxyContin and 15mg morphine er. I have been on fentanyl, embeda and opana, Right now I have a spacer in my right knee because the staph infection was so severe they could not put in a knee yet so I still have one more surgery to go. My problem is the morphine er is not working or lasting so I have started taking 30mg of morphine with still no relief.

I'm having pain in the left knee for the past few months which has now spread to other joints like the ankle, right knee, wrist, fingers, hip etc. I've been to an orthopaedic. Knee x-ray shows arthritis. Blood test results for uric acid was 6.9. Doc gave me meds. After 1 month repeat test showed uric acid as 3.5. But pain in the joints have worsened. Doctor told me to get blood reports for serum calcium, vit d & anti ccp. Tsh too. Reports were - Ca 9.0, TSH - 1.

If I kneel on my left knee I get a sharp pain like my knee is kneeling on a pin that is digging into my knee. It is a sharp enough pain for me to get right back up off it and switch to my other knee. Hello, I'm an 19 year old male and since the last week of August, I've had a sharp pain in my knee. It's occurs in my left knee, on the inside. It's very near to the platella, but I don't know if it's the tibia or the fibula. It's the bone that kind of slightly juts out. I have had three surgies on my right knee, the last of which was a full knee replacement. Ever since the second knee surgery I have had this intense burning sensation on the right side of my right thigh. This area is also numb to the touch, though that has been numb since my first knee surgery in 2000. None of my doctors or surgeons have really take the time to determine the root cause of the pain, and it is very frustrating. The pain is coming more frequently know.

After about a week of mild pain the pain went away. In the last few weeks I have been noticing more slight pain in the knee, as well as some perceived weakness in the knee. Over past few yrs I have developed a tight uncomfortable pain on the outer right knee, just to the right of the kneecap. A hard bony lump has developed over time as well, in the painful area. I also have pain in my right arm, especially my right elbow. I'm having trouble staying asleep at night because the pain wakes me up. My doctor has prescibed muscle relaxers, pain killers, the works. They work for a few days and then the problem comes back with a vengeance.
