knee pain in rear of knee

I still limp, although after the first 10 steps, once the leg moves a bit, I do better. Most of the pain is in the knee, the leg still swells at the actual fracture site, but the knee is the major pain area. How long should I expect this to continue? I was a very active person before this accident, walked a few miles a day, and now I feel like a slug! The pain has changed me, and I hate taking the narcotics...Please...any advice would be greatly appreciated.

t hurt too bad but flex the knee and it has sharp pain like i have walking up and down stairs because of the knee caps. I sit in a normal position but lifting foot causing lots of pain around knee cap. I'm guessing I probably pulled something. Have put ice on it and taken ibu. I don't know that there is much a dr. would do but just wonder what I could have pulled.

Pain in the back of knee when walking up and down steps. Also buckling and giving in while walking at times. I am a competitive gymnasts. The pain is right where you bend your knee in the back What could this be?

if i were to trip over the smallest thing and my legs were to bend back to a certain point the pain is horrible..also have a feeling of fullness,pressure in the knee area..while im at work in the morning and on my feet pain is more noticalbe in rear leg upper calf area..i think i might have did this at a local gym a year ago...doing squats,leg extensions and leg curls with to muych weight.?? could it be something in my hamstrings??

Thanks for the information, but i have no back pain or soreness in my lower back at this moment, can this still be happening even without any lower back pain?? I do show signs of degeneration in my upper spine & neck area. I originally had real bad lower back pain during recovery of my accident, but it did not affect my legs in this manner, mostly unable to bend forward. I thought I recovered from the lower back pain aboput 2-3 months ago. I guess it may still be affecting me again.

I felt no discomfort then, but each day afterward for about a week I felt first pain on the lateral side of the knee, then the pain moved to the medial side of the knee, now the only discomfort is on the posterior portion of the knee in the soft tissue with my leg straight as I walk. I have had alot of pain, popping/craking in riggt knee. I have MRI report that states high grade articular cartilage defect with marginal flap for.ation at median paar ridge. Along with other signs of ligament sprain. Will the flap require surgery?

I began having knee pain one and a half months ago in both knees. I just got an MRI and was diagnosed with a damaged meniscus in both of my knees. This might be the reason of the pain. Recently, after running and following my stretching regime, I have experienced tightening of the knee in question, and then the following morning a swelling at the back of the knee on the medial side appeared. Hello, I'm an 19 year old male and since the last week of August, I've had a sharp pain in my knee. It's occurs in my left knee, on the inside. It's very near to the platella, but I don't know if it's the tibia or the fibula. It's the bone that kind of slightly juts out. I am deaking with severe pain at the outside of my right knee. It is not muscular it feels in the bone . It is tremendous in pain. The pain travels down the side of my leg it doesn't matter what i am doing, at night I can not lay on that side because of the pain, what is your opinion?
