I have never had muscle spasms occur on the right of the spine in my back in the past; they have always stayed to the left and on the center of the lower spine. No further spasms have been felt on the left side of the spine since the block. The sore, aching, and rigid muscles on the left seem to be a residual effect of the typically constant muscle spasms and stabbing nerve pain that have remained in the area since the original presentation of my severe chronic pain symptoms back in 2018.

As such, the neuropathic pain caused by MS tends to be related to the specific nerve pathway that controls its pain center.

Every so often, if I slightly turn my body in one direction but my leg doesnt follow quick enough and even just slightly puts a twist on my knee, I get this stabbing right in the center of my knee cap if I try to put my weight on the leg. I have to keep it slightly bent and no pressure on it at all. If I have no pressure on it, the stabbing isnt there, just with pressure. And sore if I try to straighten the knee.
When I lay on my right side , bend my knee 45% and try to lift it straight up , severe pain on the outside of the knee. Absolutely can not lift it. I told the doctor this after one month, he just said it ould get better with time. 13 months later no difference same intense pain. Knee bends 90% and works fine except when I try tp privot inward to the right. If I walk up stairs and turn the knee inward at the same time it will collapse under me in pain.
Until it pops, I have awful pain that is on the inside on my knee and underneath my kneecap and sometimes I have shooting pain go from under my kneecap all the way up the center/middle of my thigh to my hip. My right hip is in the same position as my knee where I have to force it to pop to make the pain go away.
When my nerve area hurts, I can also feel a lesser amount of pain around that area, which is in the center of my right leg not too close to the nerve pain area.
Aspiration procedures have been unsuccessful b/c the cyst is blocked from ultrasound location b/c of the bone. I have tried physical therapy and am now also seeing a neurologist about the nerve area pain, which is really bad - I'd say a solid 7 on the pain scale. Again, it is episodic, but I can't say what triggers it.

I just got an MRI and was diagnosed with a damaged meniscus in both of my knees. This might be the reason of the pain. But as they also found fluid in my knees (caused by the damaged meniscus) there could be also so called Baker Zysts (collections of fluid behind the knee) which cause pain.
Another thing that came to my mind when they told me about the fluid, is some kind of arthritis. I read that arthritis can cause nodes (not lymph nodes).
I went back to doctor and the doctor said it is arthritis of the knee and that, at this point, no tests were necessary. Well, in spite of anti-inflammatory meds, I cannot put my full weight down on my leg without pain that seems more concentrated directly under the knee. I am walking around limping.
I am afraid that if something else is going on, I may be injuring it more by walking on it.
Can you answer the following for me?
1. Should I be getting x-rays or a MRI?

Hi EVERYONE!! im in so much pain right now, that i can't get comfortable doing anything. I tried laying down but i hurt my back to much, and now i'm sitting and its hurting my hip, and if i stand it hurts my leg :( I have a feeling i won't be sleeping tonight. For the past 6 weeks I have been experiencing pain in the back of my knee and down my calf muscle in my right leg.
If i rest either with my feet up or down, when I go to stand my leg from my knee to my foot is very stiff and sore. I am unable to kneel as it feels like a massive burst of pain behind the knee into my calf muscle as if i have severly sprained it. When standing, if i transfer any weight onto my right leg, i get pain from the back of the knee right down my calf.
For a few days I could feel something move in the same knee when I would walk down stairs. It felt like it was located to the left (outside) of the center of the knee. That went away. The right knee doesn't have any issues. There is no pain, tenderness, or swelling involved at all.
Does this sound like it could be osteoarthritis? I've been working on the computer all day every day for about 10 years and I'm wondering if that sort of extreme inactivity could have caused this.

Many causes of knee pain, especially those related to overuse or physical activity, respond well to self-care such as resting and applying ice to the affected area.
