knee-pain

Avatar m tn I experience many different kinds of pain in many different areas of the knee, everything from the type of pain that accompanies a bruise to pinching, burning, and stinging. It does not matter if my knee is bent, straigthened, or whether I am walking or resting. I would really appreciate some suggestions to help alleviate the pain.
Avatar m tn I tore my meniscus in highschool from play tennis and had surgery and it helped it so much. And its not a rough surgery either. You may consider wearing a hinged knee brace, that may help you. Hope everything works out!!!
Avatar n tn the outside bone on my right knee is tender but nothing like that on the left knee. This started with sore muscles that i thought was from not being in shape and playing tennis. it has progressed to almost constant pain and stiffness. even with 800 mg ibuprofen i was up half the night in pain. if i warm up a lot i can still play tennis but it will come back worse later in the evening or next morning. i don't see any loss in muscle strenght but they are constantly sore.
Avatar m tn About 9 hours after my injections, one in each knee, my left knee swelled up causing extreme pain and discomfort. After calling my doc. and starting on steroids the swelling quickly came down. Here's what I don't understand why only one knee reacted? And I am willing to suffer some discomfort for the relief I got from the other series. Any thoughts.
Avatar m tn I'm experiencing a sharp knee pain (left knee), to the side of joint (left side) when i kneel flush on my knee cap. I've had water on the knee (right) many years ago which only occurred when i flew long distance. When i press my knee cap, no pain, nor to the side, only seems to be on hard surfaces with my full weight. Any thoughts, much appreciated.
Avatar m tn I have had a problem with my knee for about a year. I was playing tennis and after sprinting I went to plant my foot my knee twisted, I heard a pop, and it gave out. It swelled up and hurt pretty bad. After about 2 weeks, the swelling went away and it didn't hurt too bad. Even though the pain went away, the knee just hasn't felt right. The best way i could describe it is sometimes the knee feels like it wants to turn inside out.
Avatar n tn s on my knee and I have this pain that hurts and sometimes uncomfortable to bend knee or even relax, what should I do
Avatar m tn I could tolerate the pain but finally this fall the swelling in my knee became obvious and I had an MRI done in October. It showed that I have moderate chondromalacia ... and subchondral edema. This translates to a bone bruise. I stopping running and switched from playing a lot of tennis singles to doubles. It still wasn't getting better so I stopped all tennis and began swimming for the last 5 weeks. Swelling is almost all gone and no pain but some stiffness remains.
Avatar f tn In my view, anything the size of a tennis ball needs to be seen by a doctor. Knee cancer is very rare. I was tested for knee cancer too once believe it or not! My symptoms were swelling and a hole/shadow in the bone (showed up on X-ray). There are also lots of benign lumps and bumps but you need to see someone to find out for sure. Take care.
Avatar f tn My pain is in the front of my knee. I am a tennis player, 63, and am going crazy from not being able to play.
Avatar n tn Said he could inject my patella tendons with plasma to help them heal faster but wanted to do that for last resort. Went back and kept playing tennis.... Then had very very bad knee pains (sharp pain, stiffness, hard to get up, etc.) Went back to the doc and got a new MRI. He told me that i have a partially torn patellar tendon... and that i can either have open knee surgery or inject it with plasma and wait 3 months to see if it will heal.
Avatar f tn I have a painful growth on the front of my knee. In 2012 I had a lipoma removed from the area. Within 2-3 years a new type of lump developed that was very different. It’s jelly like to the touch, very soft and painful to press on and it jiggles when I walk/run. It hurts worse at night and causes pain with some activity. I have a hard lump just beside it that feels like a knob on my bone. I’ve had an MRI and an Ultrasound on the area and the doctors state they do not see anything on the scans.
Avatar m tn For 1.5 years I've been experiencing pain on my left side...neck, then shoulder, then wrist, and now elbow and shoulder. Family Dr. tells me I probably have arthritis and tennis elbow. I am not athletic and can't think of what I might have done to cause this. However, shortly before all this started, I did get really sick with vomiting and diahhrea for over a week. I suspected food poison.
Avatar n tn For my third injection he seemed to hit the same spot as in the first and second series. I did NOT get the calf pain and it did help my knee pain. This is just a guess on my part, but I think if the doctor does not inject it into the correct spot that it goes into the muscles and not the joint.
Avatar n tn from Alice71 ---Hello Doctor, 20 days ago I injured myself playing tennis. I was running to my right and turned abruptly to the left to hit the ball. I couldn't walk. The pain was extremely painful below my right front knee (approximately 6-7 inches below knee). Felt like a severe spasm. After icing leg with elevation for several hours I was able to walk normally without pain. This same severe spasm has occured four times since I injured myself. I am 81 years of age (young)!
Avatar f tn carry a tennis ball with you. Any time that nerve flares sit directly on the tennis ball where the pain is for a minute or two. The pressure and pain will be temporarily relieved. Follow up with hamstring exercise and stretching. Hope that helps.
Avatar m tn I am a competitive tennis player. I have had issues with shooting pain (like a shock of pain) that radiates from the back of my neck to my head. I can only describe it as "little explosions" of pain. Sometimes, this pain causes me to go to the ground (almost like I have lost function for a split second). Also, I always feel confused afterwards and my head and neck tingles. It takes me a while to get my focus back and continue to play tennis.
Avatar n tn I experienced it since I was a child, now I'm 22 and it's getting worst especially when I'm sitting in a car for a long period of time and when I want to straight or move it, that's the time that the pain will got worse, I can't even move my knee! but though i can move my toes. Even when I walk or kneel, their is a mild pain. And for some time, even in my left femoral bone area there is a local pain in front of my leg.
Avatar f tn I recently hurt my knee playing tennis. I'm attempting to lose weight but i can't do any cardio that is too taxing on my knee; is there any exercises that have high fat burning principals other than swimming? (I dont have the avilability of swimming where i live).
Avatar m tn headache, waking with numb arms, neck pain, shoulder pain, face pain.... Have returned. I ams scared......and I don't know if anyone else has experienced this type of situation.
Avatar f tn (Question I promise is at the bottom, but there's some back story in here...) On 12/14/16, I was at work, and felt a pop in my right knee, and I buckled. This wasn't "abnormal" for me as this has happened before. I thought nothing of it and continued working my second job for the remaining several hours as a cashier walking, bending, etc.
Avatar m tn To find this area you will have to poke around, as it is not the same location where you feel the tennis elbow pain. Its called refereed pain. Then sleep with it strait, put some sports elbow guard on backwards, then you can bend at night. Also feel for a trigger point in your bicept or tricept, push in deep, it will hurt at first but instant relief will occur in the elbow pain. been there done that!
Avatar n tn I am 26 year old male with BMI of 20.I started having a tingling sensation on my calf at work two weeks ago. I used to do pull up regularity before the pain started i found my chest ache and my left hand muscles became very sore around the heart region. However, the soreness was not what i usually feel from a muscle ache on exercising, the pain was there even when i wasn't moving my body. Initially, i thought it was heart related however the pain subsided.
