I have back problems and recently had a knee scope done on my right knee. The inserts that I use is call Profoot. They relieved pressure from both my back and knees. I feel the difference when I wear other shoes or no shoes. I hope this helps.

This is caused by fluid built up under pressure within the knee cavity in response to an inflammatory problem within the knee. Usually no treatment is given if there are no symptoms. If anti-inflammatory medications are not able to take care of the pain, then draining the fluid is an option. Often corticosteroid injections are given at the same time. Patients remain symptoms free for varying periods of time ranging from few days to year or more.

I also had the synvisc injections, cortisone injections, arthroscopy twice and my dr said the only cure was the knee replacement, bone on bone etc. When I think about the pain I was in then and the pain I am in now I think the old pain wasnt so bad.

This essentially means a softening of the cartilage of the knee cap. The anatomical sources of pain in this area is now considered to be from the richly innervated subchondral bone (bone below the articular cartilage), infrapatellar fat pad, or the medial and lateral retinaculum of the joint. “...certain mechanical conditions may predispose you to a mistracking knee cap. ” Cartilage does not have the same blood supply that bone does.

I have problems with my knees,just general stiffness-but one day I had to get down on my right knee and the pain was extreme,it wasn't necessarily in the knee but to the right side of the knee,it felt like the skin was splitting into,I look and the skin looked fine,so I don't know if it's the tendon or the muscle what ever it is,is very painful,in fact I can't get down on my knees any longer

Hello first of thanks for the help this site rocks :) So i have been having some really bad knee pain for about 3 years i just had a baby and it hurts so bad when I'm carrying him up and down our stairs. he is only 4 months old, but it fills like my legs are going to buckle from underneath me. they usually always hurt but more when I'm walking up and down the stairs. at night i drench my knees in icy hot.

When I walk my legs are fine but when I kneel down on my right leg it feels like my right knee the muscle in there is like stretching this a stinging pain it's on the right side of my knee any suggestions on what I could do if it's serious like a torn muscle but it only happens when I kneel down walking is fine it's like just putting pressure on the knee kneeling down

Does anyone have knee pain like a torn meniscus pain? I went to stand up and I couldn't hardly put weight on it. My husband mentioned maybe it's nerve pain? Thanks!!

About a week ago, my knee started feeling sharp pain only when pressure is applied. I don't remember what exactly my position was (maybe I kneeled, maybe my leg touched the under side of a table). But anyway, whatever it was that touched my knee felt like a tiny sharp needle instead! There is no swelling or any visible sign. I tried to find out what it was but there was nothing there. hello, I play volleyball, which is hard on the knees from diving to jumping all the time... a few months ago I dove and hit my knee on the groung very hard. My knee pain went away and it recently has come back. It feels like a knife goes into my knee right below my knee cap every time i jump or put a lot of pressure on it like trying to stand up. I have been icing it, but it won't go away....Does anyone 1. Know what is wrong? or 2. Know how to fix it?

I have had increased blood pressure and heart rate over the last several months and my doctor put me on Toprol XL 25mg. Now I am having severe pain in my right knee which goes down into my ankle causing sharp pain. Could this problem be caused by the medication I am taking for my BP? If the pain went from your butt at the back of your leg to the knee, you may have damaged part of your lower back causing impingement or pressure on the sciatic nerve - sciatica. Go to the ER and get an xray done to make sure there is no break.

What type of pain is this that hits the right knee abruptly even like lightning so swift, and travels from the knee straight through the thigh nerve and/or tissues, shooting straight to the joint of the thigh and groins that lasts at least one to two minutes. I have been having knee pain for about 1 and a half months now and the doctor's said it's nothing with my bones. I still haven't had an MRI yet and my football coach thinks it's one of three things: Osgood-Schlatter's disease my growth plate is fractured. I forget the third one though. What helps me is if I put my left foot and my right leg by the knee. Put your elbow on the left knee put just a bit of pressure down on it ever so often for about 30 to 45 minutes before bed. I do this to both leg every night and I haven't had any issues since I started doing this.

I have been lucky enough to avoid them. There are so many different reasons that could be the cause of your knee pain. Arthritis, Ligament issues, Cartilage or Meniscus tears, Chondromalacia Patella (knee cap) Bursitis and the list goes on.

You may have arthritic problems now in your knee. The numbness in the foot could be from referred pain from your knee or lower back, inappropriate footwear or nerve damage. Apply hot, or cold packs to the knee. Use the one that helps the best. If the climate is hot and you work out a lot and sweat, you may require more than the 3 litres of water throughout the day.

I was told that I have patella feminel pain, I am use to having trouble kneeling and walking after a shift at work and and my knee being weak and the knee cap moving around, but lately even when I am not doing anything it feels as though something is push up on my knee cap, and extremely painful and I cant get the pain to go away.
