Avatar f tn I believe it is from you kickboxing, mainly from the location. The green is probably from a healing bruise you didn't know you had. When I did karate I ended up with bruises I never felt and did not notice until they were pointed out. I would say it is a nerve that you just irritated while kicking the bag. If you have not done so already quite kicking the bag for a couple of weeks and focus on the hand work.
Avatar f tn Elbow pain is often caused by overuse. I think you should take consultation from an Orthopedist which can tell you the real reason behind your pain after checkup.
Panda Thank you for responding. Every Monday and Wednesday, I take "U-jam" and every Tuesday and Thursday, I take "Body Combat" Both classes are at 24 Hour Fitness. U-jam is a hip-hop class and Body Combat is a mixed martial arts class. They are group x classes and are great cardio that focus on HIIT (high intensity interval training). I used to take martial arts when I was in high school, so Body Combat and Turbo Kickboxing are right up my alley, next to any type of dance.

Avatar f tn For the past few months I have been wearing my heart rate monitor while taking kickboxing, boot camp classes etc, and my heart rate elevates quickly (up to 205 during kickboxing). Anyway I went to see the cardiologist and today I was told that I had 2 leaky valves while they were doing my echo, then during my stress test my heart rate got up to 170 at 6 minutes so they took me off and did a follow up echo.
Avatar m tn I have been through all the steps before the last resort SURGERY and non of them have helped with the pain that i am living with daily which is now at a point i cannot bear. I have been told that i need to have pressure relieved on my C6-7 nerve, which is causing pain in my back, neck and down my right arm. The questions i ask is: If i have the surgery and do what is needed to recover properly, will i be able to still compete in kickboxing tournaments and all other sports?
Avatar f tn Yes every time I'm in the grocery store. I swear I just made an old man **** his pants when I screamed in pain from my baby kickboxing down there and I'm 37 weeks. It's so random too but I think you should be able to hold off if you can take it easy the next few weeks.
Avatar n tn Ever since then I cannot knee on a certain part of that knee. If I do I get a sharp, burning, stinging pain that quickly subsides once off the knee. I can walk and run on it fine, and have not experienced any swelling or other problems. I cannot feel any abnormalities on the outside. The pain is on top of the knee. Even pushing on a certain area it is is sensitive. What do you think?
Avatar f tn Around January of 2010 I started experiencing horrible pain in my right knee. After taking some time off from the gym and still experiencing chronic pain, I made an appointment with an orthopedic knee specialist. I had x-rays done and was told that my knee looked beautiful (structure-wise I guess) and that I probably had something called Femoral Pain Syndrome or Runner’s Knee. He recommended physical therapy, a knee brace, and said I should be fine in a few weeks.
1850203 tn?1325253608 the pain of the knee is at the side of the knee cap. sometimes it (the bump) will pop out -- whenever I get up from a chair. I pop it back in by sitting down again and raising the lower leg. this might be from an injury when I was 4 when thrown down from a stool and landing on knees several times. thank you.
Avatar n tn SO I AM HAVING PRETTY EXTREME PAIN ONLY WHEN KNEEING ON LEFT KNEE--USUALLY DOMINATE KNEE THAT I ALWAYS KNEE ON WITH ALL MY WIEGHT ON FIRST. DOESNT HURT TO WALK ON OR BEND OR ANY OTHER MOTION. RECENTLY I CAN FEEL SENSATIONS FROM A LITTLE BELOW MY KNEE LIKE "PINS AND NEEDLES" BUT VERY SLIGHT. I CAN LIGHTLY TOUCH BELOW CENTER OF KNEE AND FEEL SAME PAIN WITH VERY LITTLE PRESSURE LIKE A SLIGHT RUB.
Avatar n tn This essentially means a softening of the cartilage of the knee cap. The anatomical sources of pain in this area is now considered to be from the richly innervated subchondral bone (bone below the articular cartilage), infrapatellar fat pad, or the medial and lateral retinaculum of the joint. “...certain mechanical conditions may predispose you to a mistracking knee cap. ” Cartilage does not have the same blood supply that bone does.
Avatar m tn I am 45 years old from last year i am suffering from knee pain. Last year started left knee pain and this year started right knee pain Please suggest me what treatment can i take and what type of exercises can i start to solve my knee pains.
Avatar n tn I had a patella realignment procedure in April. My knee has healed great and is pain free. I'm back to doing all physical activity - except running. The knee feels excellent; however, I have alot of pain at the graft site on the tibia when I try to run. My three month follow up x-rays showed the bone was healing excellent, the screws were in place, and the grafted piece was in perfect alignment with my tibia. Is the bone pain normal, and is there anything I can do to speed the recovery?
Avatar n tn Lack of progress and improvement becomes understandable when one considers that typical evaluation and treatment are directed at the symptoms. But with chronic knee pain, and many other pain syndromes, actual benefits may be obtained by addressing underlying biomechanical problems. Faulty biomechanics are at the root of many ongoing knee problems. Of course, various other diseases and orthopedic conditions may cause the same type of chronic pain.
1961313 tn?1326290364 I have problems with my knees, just general stiffness-but one day I had to get down on my right knee and the pain was extreme,it wasn't necessarily in the knee but to the right side of the knee,it felt like the skin was splitting into,I look and the skin looked fine,so I don't know if it's the tendon or the muscle what ever it is,is very painful,in fact I can't get down on my knees any longer
Avatar f tn In October 2010 I had bilateral TKR after suffering from knee pain due to osteoarthritis for more than a decade. After being fully informed I was convinced that the pain in my knees would be gone and walk like normal. My right knee was slightly less painful than the left which was constantly in pain . Xray scan revealed ther was no space at all in the joints and both bones had become almost fused. A must for TKR, the operation was done in both knees on the same day. Post op was event free.
