I had to have total knee replacement on my knee in 2003 now after 3 operations I am left with a partial bent knee and missing out on life. Is there any hope for me?

I had an accident where I fractured a part of the tibial plateau. In one knee. It's a simple fracture from what I gather, 4-5 ? inches long, but the x-ray wasn't precise enough for the Ortho. who requested an MRI with a 3-D reconstucted image. She said that if there's too much distance between the bones, too much loss of alignment, surgery will be necessary.
Haven't sought a second opinion yet, but I'm wondering if there aren't alternatives to surgery?
sounds so to me my aunt keep getting operations on her knees one after the other as soon as they replce her knee thngs were alot better she said she ws in less pain an was wlking pretty much the next day

Patients with a loose total knee joint limp. The pain is usually felt in the whole knee area, predominantly in the front, along with increasing stiffness and effusion in the knee joint. With advancing time patient will not be able to put weight and diminished motion in the joint.
Diagnosis can be made with the help of X-rays. Revision operation can be considered if there is unbearable pain, progression of osteolysis and loss of function.
I am 22 yrs old i have had 2 total knee recon. on my knees. I have just hurt my knee in jan. and been going through the process of PT and doc vists. But i just went and got an MRI on my Right knee. Everything came back normal but one thing is bothering me. The MRI report said: with note of mild myxoid degeneration in the posterior medial meniscal horn.
Can someone help me understand??
I would like to know when the arthirits starts swelling and you have to get drained..(knee) is there something they can give you or do to help the pain? I can't take getting my knee drained anymore! They do deaden it..but that is a joke!
The pain is on the distal end of the femur on the lateral part of the bone. Almost a year ago the physician and I agreed to having a total knee replacement done thinking that the pain would subside. That was a joke! The pain is still just as bad as day one. I go back to the doctor in April and it doesn't look like it will be good news for him. Now I will have to have surgery on the Left knee joint. I will wait for that though.
im 44 6 ft 5 325, Ive had 7 operations on my left knee. ACL repaired and both cartlidges removed. I cannot stand more than a couple of hours because of the pain. I cannot straighten it nor bend it more than 45 degrees. Would a knee replacement be my best alternative to getting my lie back?
Hello, current surgical techniques such as arthroscopies and current post operative regimens, such as early mobilization have made most knee operations more patient friendly. Doctors are also more attuned to pain and are more eager than ever before to find ways to minimize it. Persistent pain following surgery can be due to a hematoma. Admittedly, there are times where persistent pain does not have an obvious cause. MRI can help in finding some lesion which might be causing pain.
if any one else has experienced something like this plz help me to understand this.moreover doctor has suggested for her an operation for the knee replacement but she doesn't have strenght enough to undergo this surgery as she had already two operations i.e uterus removal ang gall bladder removal..
plz give me some information if anybody has this kind of experience.

I’ve had problems with my knees since 2014 am 25lbs. Weight got thrown on my knee. It didn’t break or anything. My has bothered me over the years but recently it’s worse. I movies into a house with stairs and when I walk or run up the i feel a ripping sensation in my knee. That’s the only way I can describe it. It doesn’t hurt on impact it hurt when I take off so to speak. Also when I have my knee bent for a long time it’s very hard to straighten it.
About ten years ago I developed this morning anxiety, and for the exception of a few months here and there because of knee replacements and other operations (I guess the pain took the place of anxiety) I have had it EVERY morning. My thyroid has fluctuated horribly for the past eight or so years and is still doing so. I have a physical in two weeks and am going to request a trial on Armour. Needless to say it gets me down horribly.
the past 3 weeks i skipped a day here and there and felt fine through like 48 hours.....i was taking them for a knee injury and never slept better and just kept doing it....the mind is very powerful and is scaring me to stop because of stories ive read on lots of sites.....is that a lot of vic to come off? will i get really sick?
When I walk I get pain in the shin (tibia), calf, and Achilles tendon, and when I squat I get pain in my knee and sometimes tibia. I can also feel the top of my tibia moving when I walk sometimes. Please let me know what is the treatment for a dislocated tibia? Is there anything that can be done to get the bone back into its proper place? Thank you.
Anyone able to comment on how long it is practical to hold off on knee replacements? Have severe arthritis of knee caps and all compounded with fall on knees. Pain varies every day. Fear the complications of knee replacements though told I will know when to have the needed surgery.

I have had knee, hip and back x-rays, MRI scans on my back and hip, two knee operations for mild CMP and a lateral release. I have also seen a chiropracter and had a bio-mechanical assessment (othotics req'd). Nothing was found, joint spacing etc fine except for some fraying of the cartilage on the posterior lateral aspect of my patella. The lateral release was to see if it could alieviate the pain and give the IT band some laxity.
Dr walters could u ease hp me and give me the hp n operations that i urgently need as ive been to my dr n adked for a sterilisaion reaverall n for a operation on both of my knees as they give way from under me n are extreamly psinfull n i carnt walk very far or very much n my kneck n back are painfull n i have lumps in my gingers n o.
I have had 8 operations on this knee prior to the TKR. I have had bad knees and ankles since I was very young. Was still very active despite this. Played ALL the sports in high school college etc. So in general understand knee pain / how tough PT is and have developed a high tollerance for pain.
Had the TKR on a Thursday...left hospital on Sun....was back in emergency room on Monday night with a huge infection and extensive pain.
I had scans and doctors confirmed vericocele in BOTH my testicles. They didnt provide any information at all! They told me it's like the veins old people get, that is it. I've now done days of research and find out I may struggle to have children. I'm 26 and just don't feel like a man anymore. Basically from what he said they'll only take action if its accompanied by serious pain. I've also read it gets worse with time and is better to deal with it early?
