i am going to have a cyst and ovarys remvoed by keyhole surgery so what will happen at my op

It was a bucket handle tear on the meniscus in my left knee and I have had keyhole surgery. Is there anything I can do to help my knee back to the way it was before my injury?

ll try to do the operation via keyhole and if it fails, do the open cut, but ultimately they will only know what they can do once they are busy doing it. We moved from South Africa to Australia (3 months ago) and it is just all new to me... don't know how the Medical Insurances works here??? and the closest City to us is Adelaide and that is about 600km from here. I would have liked to start planning on the hows and whos and whens. I just like planning ahead, then I feel more in control.

All i know is that they will try to remove cyst without the ovary through keyhole surgery but they wont know for sure until the operation has started so i wont know anything until i come out of surgery, i just find this a bit worrying. has anyone else had this problem?

i have recently had a knee operation to fix the cartilage. on investigating they found that my femor and knee cap was in a bad way and worn and in time i will need a knee cap replacement, however thankfully not at the present time. Iam a fit person who teaches amrtial arts. My problem is that it has been weeks since my operation but the knee is still badly swollen and sore and i am still struggling to straighten it and bend it behonf 40 degrees..

but when i woke up the morning after my was just one big bruise n now thats gone docs think i have split my cartelidge.but i dnt gott keyhole surgery in 2weeks time for it but my other knee n hand are starting to give me the same sort of pain.

My friend Pam had her gall bladder operated by keyhole last year and experienced terrible ongoing pain afterwards. In the end they operated again and said that the first surgeon had not quite nipped and tucked the right way the first time. she is good now.

Hello, I have had 3 arthroscopies on my left knee to repair my lateral horn meniscus in September 2009, January 2014 and March 2015. Each time after the operation and recovery my knee begins to feel good and strong again. After 1 and a half year since my last operation my knee has felt great, however 5 days ago I squatted down (asian squat toilet), and instantly knew I had torn the cartilage again. Since this moment my left knee has a constant ache/throb.

I have spasticity in my legs - I take Baclofen in the morning, and before bed to keep it under control. My right knee is about to get an MRI, but I know there is at the least a torn meniscus and I am facing surgery. My MS is NOT happy with that leg! The spasticity has gotten so bad in that leg ... it feels like there is a grip on my leg from above my knee, to halfway down my calf, making it difficult to walk .... in addition to the pain and mobility issues in my knee.

Some doctors advise me not to operate but some advise me to operate. Because after operation, may become hypothyroid. Continue to take medication for the rest of life. May I know is it better to operate?

Hi I was told I had PCOS 12 yrs ago and since then hav had approx 2 periods and lots of aches and pains, last week I had a clear discharge with blood streaks in so was a little alarmed and went to see my doctor, she examined me and said my womb was enlarged and referred me for an ultra sound scan, I had that done today and the sonographer told me that I have a 20 cm cyst on my right ovary, she didn't tell me what kind of cyst she just said that I need to go back to my doctor to get referred

Is a hiatal hernia operation really that risky? I was also told by him that no surgeon would perform the operation on me because I am not in enough need for it, because my condition is not life threatning.

After a MRI they have found that I have only MCL in my left knee in tact and need to have a operation to fix this. I have found many people with ACL tears on you tube but can't find info on the problems I have in my knee. Where could I see an operation to fix all ligaments if it can be done as will see my Doc soon to discuss the options and would like to know what they are before we do speak?

i have 7 knee operation on my left knee, acl repaired and both cartlidges removed , cannot stand more than a couple of hours at a time. cant straighten it and cannot bend it more than 45 degrees is a knee replacement in my near future.

Surgical repair for torn meniscus of L' Knee. 3 months post-op it buckled, caused tear during fall to R' Knee and meniscus was surgically repaired but has also failed, although the surgeon refuses to order an MRI to "prove" this latest injury. Pain is an issue as I am allergic to all pain meds ordered to date and take nothing for the pain levels of 9-10. Before injury both knees were healthy, minimal arthritic changes on MRI's in spite of age 58 and obesity.

I have had extreme knee pain (to the point where I can now barely walk as it is), and I don't know what the problem is. 25 years ago i had a right retinacular release of the right knee. The knee is causing pain on movement; I use movelat gel; now the pain is severe at times. The knee clicks when walking.

I have always had Medibank Private. Even on a pension I have semi-top cover. Before I had thyroid problems I had a ton of other medical issues and I wasn't gonna wait 3 years for a knee operation! My mother had full knee replacement surgery around october. The operation seems to have been a success. But a few weeks after the operation she developed diahrrea. It has now lasted more than 2 months. She has lost 14 pounds. All tests come back negative. SHe has taken several medicines aND probiotics. Her diahrrea is watery. Not solid at all. She goes 4 times a day sometimes more. She has gone 10 times in half a day at some point . Has not taken antibiotics since the operation.

By going for TKR one year back she looks fine for 6 months, then severe pain on the operated left knee, checked and found PUS. Gone through a Revision TKR, done through 2 stages removing PUS and filled with cements and then after 2 months operated again with the new implant. Again PUS coming out from the operated knee, infection there. Need ur advice and help on this.
