A couple of days later I had an itch on my knee cap which quickly developed into a red rash with a few scabs. There has been no itching or discomfort and the rash is now about 2 weeks old and healing. A week later, another similar rash with bumps showed up on my right knee and a few clusters on my arms and hands. There has not been any oozing, paint or itching. Could I have gotten herpes from viral shedding?
A day or so later, I developed an itchy lesion on my knee cap, scratched it and it turned into a red lumpy rash. It never itched again and then a week later another red bumpy area appeared on my right knee with many red bumps down my knee. I had several clusters of red dots on my arm. None of them every hurt me or itched. I saw a dermatoligist and a regular doctor 10 days into it, but they weren't concerned it was hurpes.

A week later red bumps and a clustery red looking area appeared on my right knee and I had some red bumps on my arms here and there. I am awaiting blood tests, but I believe I received herpes from viral shedding. Is this possible considering the scenario.

Last night I couldn’t sleep due to itching. This morning I threw up, started to feel joint pain on my right knee cap and very bad indigestion. Sometimes my eyes are itchy too. I have not seen any rash. I am not vaccinated against any hepatitis. Should I be concerned of any stds. I am 32 years old male from Indian origin. My first sexual encounter was in back 2005 and tested repeatedly several times for all stds. This exposure was my second.
Also there is this popping sound that happens if I rest it for awhile, then try to get up. My knee also itches to every now and then. I put ice on it every time I get a chance, and I switch it up with heat pad, but even when I get a chance to rest for a day it does not feel any better. Any ideas?
I'd been having pain on the back of my knee, as well as on each side of my knee cap. My knee had been stiffening and locking if I climbed up more than a flight of stairs. The MRI came back last week, and I was told that it thankfully isn't serious, is inflamed in a few areas, to RICE it and to take ibuprofen. The impressions listed on the MRI were: 1.
I've been having this odd itching problem all over my body since the end of January. I first noticed it while at work and it felt like someone was standing behind me lightly poking at my head with a feather. Generally it's not an itch that I actually have to scratch - just a light brushing with my and or fingers makes the itch stop at any given location on my body. It affects my scalp quite a lot and has made it very difficult to sleep at times. It also wakes me up from sleep too occasionally.
i went to physical therapy were the doctor then said it is a fluid and inflammation that is underneath the knee cap. It then pushes an air pocket that is under the knee cause it to pinch something or push something that sends this shock down my leg. sometimes mine goes up my thigh or it can go down to my ankle sometimes causing my toes to go numb. i am going back to the doctor tomorrow because it is more painful now.
now i have developed a horrible rash, it started out on my right shin, just below my knee cap, it is getting larger and redder, i also have these bumps popping up everywhere that remind me of poison ivy, but when i squeeze them nothing comes out, they are spreading and i am itching like a physco. i keep using lotions and lotions for itching but it helps a little bit. good news is that i do have an appointment on wednesday morning so i can show this to her.
By Sunday morning i had another bump on the right knee, it was only about 1/2 inch in diameter when it started and has by now ( monday the 14th) grown into a full grown sore covering most of my knee cap area (photo joined). I haven't been able to get an appointment with a dermatologist since last tuesday after being refered to one from the doctor and the hospital that said she didn't know what it was. Can someone help me diagnose this and\or suggest treatment possibilities.
Anyway, this is somewhat related and my REAL CONCERN. I have folliculitis on my knee caps and other areas.
There is not much they can do if it is osteoarthritis apart from pain relief and replace the knee cap if it so badly damaged. As the xrays and MRI do not show much, perhaps it is not a bone problem, but that from tendons and muscles. Can you be referred by your doctor to physiotherapy or Triage where they have more time to assess your problem and give you exercises to do to strengthen the muscles that support the knee joints.
I have a rash of bumps on and around my knee cap for several years...it consists of bumps that are skin colored and slightly raised above the surface of the skin. They do not itch and they are not painful. My boyfriend recently asked if I should have them checked out in case they were a form of skin cancer. Do you have any suggestions what they may be before I make an appointment with my regular medical doctor?
They have also began to itch. This is predominantly located in and around the knee cap region of my legs. It also feels that my right knee is worse than the left. About 6 weeks ago I noticed a brownish red line on the right leg, on the side of my knee cap...it appeared about 1/2" long, a few days later a parallel line began to grow, it's grown into a 1 1/2" check mark, it looks just like one, now the original line has gotten a line spreading off of it and is spreading up my knee cap. It has different off shoots, all of the wiggly lines are appx 1/8" wide. No pain, no itching, NOTHING.
Woke up today and had what appears to be mosquito bites or something like it all over my body. I have one on my knuckle, two on my forearm, two on my knee cap, one on my calf and another on my thigh. They all itch, and when I scratch they become whitish in color. I have had the chicken pox before. I should also note that I live in NY and I don't think there are many mosquitoes in October, but I'm not sure. Normally I wouldn't think twice about this but I find the timing is odd.
She wakes up 3 or 4 times a night itching her toes, her knee caps, her hands until she itches through the skin. I put Aveno Baby on her at least 6-7 times a day - skin is moist but this is coming from the inside. Please advise.
Hi, Atopic dermatitis is characterized by itching, scaling, swelling, and sometimes blistering. In early childhood it is called infantile eczema and is characterized by redness, oozing, and crusting. It is usually found on the face, inside the elbows, and behind the knees. Seborrheic dermatitis may be dry or moist and is characterized by greasy scales and yellowish crusts on the scalp, eyelids, face, external surfaces of the ears, underarms, breasts, and groin.
I have an area the size of a silver dollar just above the knee cap that is reddened as if there had been pressure on it. But I have had this for months and it doesn't go away, it has gotten a whitish rough area over it. I have had rare sudden quick pain in the affected knee but the other knee has done this on rare occasions so I can't say it it releveant.
(Week 19 w/Victrelis) ITCH Today I am itching, itching, itching. From my scalp to my heels, but mostly on the back of me, so back of legs, arms, torso. Even my ears are itchy now. And although I'm sure this is Nothing compared to the Incivek rash, it is still driving me bonkers and making me cranky. I initially thought it was from Procrit but doc said it's the RIBA. This started when my RIBA was slightly increased, so it almost feels like I am at square one, but worse.
I also have brown spots on my legs, It starts from the ankle and goes about half way to the knee cap. There is no itchy feeling or irritation. It gets dry and i apply some Sorbelene cream.
I have been getting acne on my face, back, and legs lately, and have also been getting a lot of bug bites. The bug bites are mostly down by my feet, but there have been a few that are up by my knee caps. I am also about to deploy, and have recently received the smallpox and anthrax vaccinations. Is this something I should be concerned about? I am an aircrew member so if I go to medical I will be placed in a flight down status which I do not want.
Then my arms get hot then I feel my knees get hot, then my arms start to itch. Then my knees start to itch and then my inside ankles start to itch. I take a benedryl and put on anti-itch cream. After about 10 minutes the itching stops and within 30 minutes the rash goes away completely. The rash leaves exactly the way it came. Starting with my arms and ending with my ankles and knees. Any idea what this could be?

My daughter is 6 and has very bad Molluscum behind her knees, a few on top of one of her knee caps and a few on her thighs. It started a year ago with one bump on her knee. I thought it was a wart...now I know differently. Within the past 4 months, they have exploded! She also has eczema, which I know can make it worse. We went to the pediatrician and she prescribed Aldara to apply 3 times a week, only on the bumps.
