Knee cap itch

Common Questions and Answers about Knee cap itch

A couple of days later I had an itch on my knee cap which quickly developed into a red rash with a few scabs. There has been no itching or discomfort and the rash is now about 2 weeks old and healing. A week later, another similar rash with bumps showed up on my right knee and a few clusters on my arms and hands. There has not been any oozing, paint or itching. Could I have gotten herpes from viral shedding?

Please try to go to a neurologist, preferably, and see if you can start taking Gabapentin. It would be expensive I think with no insurance, but Gabapentin seems to be a life-saver for me so far.
I have a rash of bumps on and around my knee cap for several consists of bumps that are skin colored and slightly raised above the surface of the skin. They do not itch and they are not painful. My boyfriend recently asked if I should have them checked out in case they were a form of skin cancer. Do you have any suggestions what they may be before I make an appointment with my regular medical doctor?
Woke up today and had what appears to be mosquito bites or something like it all over my body. I have one on my knuckle, two on my forearm, two on my knee cap, one on my calf and another on my thigh. They all itch, and when I scratch they become whitish in color. I have had the chicken pox before. I should also note that I live in NY and I don't think there are many mosquitoes in October, but I'm not sure. Normally I wouldn't think twice about this but I find the timing is odd.
I have an area the size of a silver dollar just above the knee cap that is reddened as if there had been pressure on it. But I have had this for months and it doesn't go away, it has gotten a whitish rough area over it. I have had rare sudden quick pain in the affected knee but the other knee has done this on rare occasions so I can't say it it releveant.
A couple of days later I had a blistery itch on my knee cap which turned into a red bumpy rash. It did not bother me. I believe I had leg pains. A week later red bumps and a clustery red looking area appeared on my right knee and I had some red bumps on my arms here and there. I am awaiting blood tests, but I believe I received herpes from viral shedding. Is this possible considering the scenario.
I just started with it too. I'm 33 weeks. A friend who has had it forever told me to curl your toes tightly and let them go slowly repeatedly and it stops it. She actually just told me that today so I haven't tried it yet, always happens at night.
It's very close to the knee cap in the inner thigh wouldn't this be too far down for a outbreak?

I've also noticed that now I have three tiny bumps on my elbow just now and also ONE little bump on my knee cap. This is driving me absolutely insane. It's getting to the point where I've researched bed bugs and flees and yada yada yada so then I always think i feel something crawling on me so I hurry and look and there's never anything to be found. I don't really have time to head to the doctors office so I'm hoping that someone may have an answer for me.

I am also taking L-Thyroxine tabs 75mcg and a baby aspirin every day. My mother was allergic to sulfa.
Hi Lisa - That certainly is a list! nothing I read screamed MS to me, but I'm not a doctor. It seems that MS tends to impact an individual area(s) for an extended time, rather than move as quickly as you describe. In MS symptoms are the result of damage to nerves in individual locations. This kind of damage takes a while to build up and doesn't jump around. You can have multiple areas of inflammation, but the symptoms they cause tend to be consistent.
Hi Could you please take a look at these small red bumps present for a month in male in his 20s They start at the ankles ,and go a litlle bit above the knee cap and stop where boxers start . Most predominant on the outer calf . Many of them. Some of them blister . Appeared around the same time as he started wearing sweatpants . Also appeared around the same time as children caught lice at school . They are not the least bit itchy. Legs hurt which could be unrelated.
I've done so much research on luxating Patella and she does not limp or I do not feel or see any movement of the knee cap, also it is not sensitive to her when I touch it. It's almost like a little habit she's grown into. Again, no signs of pain, no swelling, no sensitivity she simply scratches herself while she walks/trots. It's the weirdest thing, when we play she is completely fine, runs on all fours.
after that my leg got worse and a month later they had to re do my knee and put in a new patella (knee cap).and tighten up some tendons and ligaments, as well as recement the replacement. Well 6 days post op I was doing great but then tripped with my walker and did not fall but put lots of pressure on my calf and knee, after that I have been unable to put any weight on my leg.
I know exactly what you are talking about b/c I get them on my right leg! It started about a year ago for me on my knee cap and then it slowly spread both directions up my thigh and down my shin. I now have a trail starting from my buttocks leading down the outside of my thigh once it reaches my knee cap it moves to the inside of my leg down my shin and is now trailing down the side of my foot.

I have chronically unbearable itchy legs, from upper thigh to ankle, excluding my knee cap. The itching is very persistent to the point that I'm scratching so much I break skin and have bruising. It's been 2 years since its started and its not let up for even a day. When it originally started I had no visible irritation, until after I scratched, and all it was, was very small raised bumps the same color as my skin. Now my skin is visibly irritated due to scratching.

We went to the beach one day and the water looked like it was covered in some sort of rag weed. We were playing Frisbee in the water (up to my waist) and when I got out my knee cap was burning like I got stung by a bee. (I had a misquote bite there before I went in the water). It was really red and within minutes my entire half of the body that was in the water was covered in hives. It was triggered from the cold air against my skin.
there was another pimple on my left lower thigh area by my knee cap. I actually popped it and a hard transparent substance came out so I figured it was a pimple. the girl I am seeing now says that she has poison ivy. I've tried not to touch her but it is pretty much in random places, inner thighs, arm and towards her foot. next thing I know I am starting to have same symptoms. I had a patch then it went away immeduately.
now i have developed a horrible rash, it started out on my right shin, just below my knee cap, it is getting larger and redder, i also have these bumps popping up everywhere that remind me of poison ivy, but when i squeeze them nothing comes out, they are spreading and i am itching like a physco. i keep using lotions and lotions for itching but it helps a little bit. good news is that i do have an appointment on wednesday morning so i can show this to her.
You can look at my knee and see the presence of a lump below the knee cap towards the inside of my knee. I do not complain of pain unless it is extreme. I walked around on a torn meniscus in both knees the right one for about a year the left almost 2 years when I told my doc that it was getting bad. I am angry and hurt that the first MD did not listen to me. I told him over and over again that my knee was not hurting on the side where the prosthetic is.
On my arms and legs these spots have shown up but they are individual spots on my arms there are about six on each and they are smaller than a dime they are itchy and they had this clear liquid in them my legs the same but there are more than my arms and on the back of my knee cap in the bend there well the same thing as my back it seems a a patch of dry skin and it is itchy I also noticed in the patch there are raised bumps in the patch of dry skin.
The EEG measures electrical activity of the brain, both at rest and under stimulation. What they did during my procedure was put this cap on your head lined with sensors in a dark room and have you close your eyes. They read the activity for about 5 minutes or so then, they switch to the stimulation part of the testing. There were two parts, nothing too terrible. The first part is where they had me breathe at a rapid panting pace for about 5 minutes.
They have also began to itch. This is predominantly located in and around the knee cap region of my legs. It also feels that my right knee is worse than the left. I really feel that I have to walk cautiously just in case noting happens to my knees.....To let you know about myself, I am 6 foot 2 in height, and am quite slim in build.
A week later I developed and still have tightness of chest, cough (sometimes productive), shortness of breath, a noticable new reddish brown dime sized bruise on left leg below knee-cap off to the side (I pressed on it and does not get lighter, slight tenderness when pressed and it is not raised). Took my temperature. 98.2 at around midnight. Around 10am next morning it was at 98.8. Also want to note that I occasionally shave my penis to remove hair from shaft. Apply shaving lotion after.
