knee brace j pad

yeah my leg hurts because it is stiff, but thats because i have a knee brace on so i dont bend my knee, i had surgery like 2 weeks ago and i cant get my knee brace off for a couple of weeks, i cant wait.

Also i have recently been put in a J brace to keep my knee in place because it almost popped out in school. Can you please give me suggestions?

My pain is mostly on the side of my knee cap and it swells just by standing, i tried mentioning it to my doctor but he keeps making me wait to see if it gets better, he also recently put my in a patella j brace, to keep my knee in place, but it seems to be making my pain worst.

I read "I bought a knee brace for work, and sports. It is like elastaprene, or something. It works well keeping my knee stable (ACL injury). But it makes my skin have a rash. Is there another style material brace I could buy that would not make my skin have a rash? " But no answer. Is there any solution?

Hi there. It's been a long while since I visited this community. Life has been pretty good, despite several issues I deal with . I've been totally in love with Zumba, and am in pretty darn good shape from it. Unfortunately, my left knee has given up on me. Both knees are in bad shape; I've had 5 surgeries, 3 of them ACL reconstructions. I tore the lateral meniscus in my left knee in September.

Is it o.k. to wear a knee brace that also covers the vaiacose vein in my shin. without the brace I have pain in my knee cap & not sure if any pain is from the varicose vein. it does feel better with the brace on But will it do harm to the varicose vein?

I am non-weight bearing on my right with an Airboot for at least another 4 weeks.. On my left I had a J brace that I was told to wean myself from. I was told to bear weight on left as tolerated. This is the leg with a fractured knee cap. In normal circumstances, a fracture to on lower extremity would be tolerable due to being able to "hobble' around on a " good" leg.

He also suggested waiting as long as possible for knee replacement so hopefully the brace helps- he did say there were more specialized Patella support braces available also- Can you recommend any if this one seems to help the situation???

Yesterday I finally got my new foot brace for my right foot ( called a toe off) . Right from the start it felt so weird walking with it on. Probably mostly because my foot has been dropping and turning in for such a long time that I had gotten somewhat use to it. It is made of carbon fiber material and goes all the way up my shin to just below my knee.

The knee started feeling around 80% better about 3 days ago. I wore knee brace every day even to sleep, 2 days ago I changed to a more comfortable brace with those metal hinges on sides, also slept with it. My current issue/question, is 2 days ago I woke up with a swollen ankle and pain when putting leg down to walk. I don't remember any sprain in ankle at all, I had just walked a theme park the night before with no ankle issue or even the knee felt great.

thanks for your reply, I was also wondering do you think they would follow the same steps as last time regarding the surgery?? like six weeks on crutches again but no knee brace again or would they maybe change it?

im 14 and ever since i fell about a year ago i began having real bad knee pain it started in my right knee, it was relly bad & i couldnt walk w/o crutches and a knee brace for about a week. then the pain went away for a while about 4 1/2 months and now its come back but this time on my left knee. i dont know if this has anything to do with my injury, it also could be my weight even though it shouldnt because im not too overweight just average.

See your chiropractor, seriously, I have a knee that does that, he works on it and it is fine. In the mean time, try wearing a knee brace to give it support.

Wha is THAT? Sounds like an alien to me. The NYU doctor said I needed one on my foot to help with my walking... and so I said "ok". This is a brace right? Because he was talking about a brace too. Just making sure!

I have no reflex in my right knee and I was thinking about getting a brace for it. Anyone have similar problems and used a brace?

I went down right away and felt pain in my left knee. Both sides of my knee were a little bit swollen, and I could not bend my knee all the way back. In addition, if I put pressure on the sides of my knee, it hurts and this was after swelling went down. I was able to bear my full weight on my injuried leg without pain at all. I have since then put on a brace to limit my knee movement with icing and elevation.

Got all the pills and drained right knee. If its not better he has to cut.
