( then after that heartbreaking event in my life, the brother of my kitten got infected with the same symptoms except for vomiting worms. He did throw up for like 2-3x a day. So i was all worried again and devastated and exasperated cause i really do not know what was going on with them. and then i consulted a public vet and asked if those symptoms are the same with parvo. He told me that it is not likely to be a parvo case yet since my kitten is not vomiting blood.

My 14 year old daughter has had three bouts of sickness, about 5 days apart over the last three weeks. She wakes up in the morning with a bad headache, about an hour later she vomits, she takes Ibuprofen and goes back to sleep and when she wakes up an hour or two later she feels fine. She has not changed her diet and she does not take any medications.

It looks to be about seven weeks old and when we brought him home we fed him and all that but he threw up and had worms. We suspect they were round worms so we got him de-wormed and since he cant keep a meal down. Not to mention we think he might be something called a "Wobbly kitten". Lo and behold, the vet found out that Mayflower has worms. Now both she and the kitten are on de-worm medicine. The kitten is fine, but Mayflower hasn't touched food or water at ALL. She was very excited to eat her food at first but smelled it and just turned away. Her diet has been off and on, but she's never straight out refused to eat like this. Is she okay? Nope! It's not real possible even if the kitten showed symptoms of ringworm, unless your boyfriend was in very close contact, like sleeping with it every night and cuddling a lot. Even then it would most likely show up on his body near where the kitten was, it wouldn't show up on his feet! However, if the kitten shows no sign (scratching, scabs, missing fur), then it doesn't have ringworm and there is not chance of passing it on.

the bloated tummy is likely due to parasites/worms...and why he/she is not gaining weight. This kitten is in dire need of vet care. Most Definitely keep the kitten away from your puppy until it gets treated and vaccinated. Please don't attempt to treat with over the counter meds either. If your kitten is nearly lifeless, she needs to be seen at the emergency vet. The kitten being so weak like that tells me that she's dehydrated. She needs fluids ASAP and it's best that you take her to an emergency vet where they will give her IV's. This really does call for drastic measures right now, or she might not make it.

Hi, I have a 9 wks old kitten that has a "small heart murmur" and the vet says that's the reason why her belly is huge. That she's not ingesting the food properly or it "flows back from her heart" (not sure i understand that one entirely). From what i'v read though, i would think heart murmur only starts creating fluids (swelling) once it's developedinto actual heart failure.

It could be that he has worms. I have been told that ALL kittens are born with worms. I don't know if that's true, but worms will cause loose stool. I would call the vet and ask them if they have any suggestions. Most likely you'll want the kitten to be dewormed by a vet anyway. My kitten had been having a 3-day diarrhea since I took her inside my home. She was a stray cat. Her stool was like yellowish jelly. I looked up in the web that maybe Metronidazole can help. So I administered her the med for 2 days (500mg per day) and after that she started giving off stools with long white parasitic worms in it. I am now giving her milk, water, and oatmeal for fiber (via syringe without the needle) but seems she is not absorbing the food because she quickly excretes them.

If you do suspect worms, at this young age they would be more likely to have roundworms than tapeworms, because they can get the roundworms from their mama, and tapeworms come from prey (from eating fleas that come from prey).
