kitten sneezing after drinking water

drinkin her milk. one thing she doesnt do is drinking her water by herself, i end up having to give her some in a syringe. i want to take her to the vet but my mom keeps procrastinating. what do you think is wrong with my miracle? and how do i help her clear her stuffy nose. i cant lose my baby, idk what i wud do if i did. shes eveything to me! plz help!!

The vet also gave me some drops for his eyes in case he needed them and he developed sneezing although the other cats in the house were sneezing and seemed to have colds and the kitten was put on antibiotics and I noticed that he is still sneezing. He is 6 months old now and I am trying to prevent him from developing FIP. He has been fed life abundance food and takes NuVet Plus as recommended by the breeder.

I found a stray kitten and I have noticed he is very playful eats and drinks normally but he seems to be sneezing quite often,watery eyes and nose (the water is not green or anything its just clear) can I go to a petstore and get him something for the sneezing,is that a cold?

They are all still sneezing a little bit but no coughing now. They are all eating and drinking plenty of water. So, it appears we might be getting out of this with all cats getting better. I was worried to say the least! I just wanted to update everyone!

Hi, we have a 9 wk old kitten called willow. She is a rescued kitten so she has been vaccinated. For the first four days we were given antibiotics for her runny nose, and sneezing. But a week later she still has the symptoms. What could be the problem?

Still is a good idea to contain your kitten until the sneezing has stopped. Make sure the kitten is eating and drinking well (sometimes when their nose is plugged they can't smell the food and stop eating). Lysine supplements will also help. Hope your kitten feels better soon!! PS I use to work at a shelter so I've been through this with numerous different cats and customers that come through the pet store I work at now.

My kitten who we just rescued from the pet shelter is sick. She has a really runny nose that is making it hard for her to breath through her nose (she actually has to open her mouth to breathe every once in a while), she is very sluggish and has lost all the playfulness she had no less then a week ago, and has been barely eating or drinking unless she's force fed with a dropper we got from the vet (she is on an antibiotic that im giving her with the dropper, but im still worried).

I posted about my news kitty, Scout, who so far is only drinking Whiskas cat milk and eating kitten moist food so far-she won't drink water. She now has a wee bit of diarrhea-should I cut out the milk so she has to start drinking water? When we got Spirit she was about the same size and already on crunchies and water but she was a shelter rescue, Scout was found under a board behind the shop.

We recently got a call from the same people saying they had another kitten available and felt bad about the other kitten and offered us a free kitten. ( then after that heartbreaking event in my life, the brother of my kitten got infected with the same symptoms except for vomiting worms. He did throw up for like 2-3x a day. So i was all worried again and devastated and exasperated cause i really do not know what was going on with them. and then i consulted a public vet and asked if those symptoms are the same with parvo. He told me that it is not likely to be a parvo case yet since my kitten is not vomiting blood.

my kitten is very sick he has stopped eating and drinking water he has not had a bowel movement in two days he is just sleeping all day and seems very lethargic

P.S. He is really skinny right now because of all the throwing up and diarrhea. He didn't stop drinking water or anything. How fast could liver failure hit? I am so worried. I told the vet everything and STILL gave no answer.

The best thing is to keep them hydrated by encouraging them to drink water or add water to their food. Watch them closely though for any problems. Older cats are more susceptible to dehydration or not eating well. Good work on having them up to date on their vaccines. It probably helped this be a mild illness and not anything more severe.

I believe its just a cold, but what can i take, im dying here at work. I tried drinking tea with honey. Drinking lots of water. I also had a cough drop (halls). Im so ready to go home. Yet i have till 430 and its only 10am here *SIGH*.

Lo and behold, the vet found out that Mayflower has worms. Now both she and the kitten are on de-worm medicine. The kitten is fine, but Mayflower hasn't touched food or water at ALL. She was very excited to eat her food at first but smelled it and just turned away. Her diet has been off and on, but she's never straight out refused to eat like this. Is she okay? Hello, I have a cat who has sense the day we rescued him been sneezing and at points discharging, for a lack of better words, snot balls on the walls. We have taken him to the vet and have received a medication that did not work after completing the full bottle. I don't recall the name of this medicine. My question is, are there any over-the-counter medications that we can give this poor cat so we don't have to pay 50$ over and over again to visit the Vet.

Well my grandmother just called me from Moscow,Russia asking me to find an answer to her question....Her 5 month old Persian kitten was acting completely fine on Saturday,March 13th.....And then on Sunday she said the cat puked out some white foam and white goo,and didn't get up all day long...My grandmother doesn't have a way of getting to a vet,neither does she have the money...The kitten was a present to her from an old friend...

I recently brought in a new kitten as a friend for my two year old female cat. After a few days, both cats became sick, sneezing, watery eyes, discharge.
