I have a 15 yr. history with kidney stones. I had my most recent attack 3 weeks ago and it was one of the longest enduring of any I've had, with the most severe flank and ureter pain lasting almost 12 hrs. The last couple hours of the horrible pain, I experienced what I would almost call spasms very low down, and I've never had that before in any of the other attacks. I had waves of pain and the urge to urinate every few minutes.
She said i have kidbey stones that i have to let pass and ive never been in such pain.. i was throwing up pisssing my pants and experiencing the kidney stones all at once. she gave me painkillers and im waiting for them to pass.. has anyone else had an experience with being preg with kidney stones??
I ahve had stones with terrible pain and stones with little or no pain.......that kind of pain was only maneable for me with morphine....so I don't envy you. I was only clearly diagnosed the first time because I pass them at the hospital and they were large enough to see....but I have also had them many times where I must have passed them without even noticing.

Hello everyone, I am currently sitting in a hospital on day 2 suffering from kidney stones. The stone passed yesterday thank god!(worst pain I have ever had in my life) this is my 3child and first time experiencing this. Hi there. Most kidney stones less than 6mm in size can be treated conservatively. If pain, nausea and vomiting can be controlled, most of these stones will pass spontaneously. one must be well hydrated while trying to pass stone. Pain can be controlled with NSAIDs and narcotics on prescription if the pain is very distressing. the stone can be kept track of for weeks to months if there is no significant obstruction and if nausea and vomiting are tolerable and there is no active infection.

Medullary Sponge Kidney Disease. I have about 16 stones from 1-2 cm in my right kidney. Have never passed any stones. I have had HIDA Scan, Ultrasound, enoscopy, colonoscopy, CT scans with and without contrast and lots of labs. I am in so much pain daily with right quad pain in front and the pain radiates to the right flank. Sometimes down my right leg and groin area. Doctors have given up and just prescribe me Delodid and viccodin. I work for a doctor and i cant function on those medications.

Although there are kidney stones as calcium stones but Drinking milk does not cause kidney stones. Hence your mother can take dairy products under her doctor’s guidance.

Method of treatment of kidney stones depends on the size of stone. A 4 mm stone has an 80% chance of passage spontaneously in the urinary tract while a 5 mm stone has a 20% chance. a stone of 7.7 mm needs other methods of kidney stone treatment. I’ll suggest consulting a urologist for the same and seeking treatment depending on the size of the stone.
There are several things that could be responsible for your pain. The obvious given what you stated .... moving Kidney Stones! However if it is Kidney Stones be prepared for that pain to become extreme and possible send you to seek immediate medical attention.
It's been several days since you posted how are you doing today? Again if it a kidney stone the pain can wax and wain as the stone moves and then can stop. If it's a very tiny stone, gravel..
I passed multiple kidney stones from both kidneys over a 3 month period,, i have had kidney stones for almost 20 years, i am 39.
