I had a confirmed UTI in mid September. 5 days ago (Sat), I began symptoms again---extreme pain while urinating & difficulty emptying my bladder. Next day (Sun), I go to Urgent Care who takes a urine sample & says I have a UTI, gives me Cipro 500mb BID & sends me home. By Mon morning, the burning is unbearable & I see my gynecologist nurse practitioner. She swabs my vagina & takes another urine sample.
I would see your doc asap it sounds like a uti / kidney infection. Cranberry juice is good at helping to prevent a uti but won't help if you already have one. I had the same thing in my first pregnancy and doc said I was hours away from be admitted and induced at 30 weeks because I ignored it thinking it would go away. Had no idea it was a uti that had spread to my kidneys!! Thankfully the antibiotics fixed me!!
It sounds more like your sciatic nerve is being pinched. I don't know how far along you are but my baby will sit on my nerve and I'll have a wonderfully painful time getting about until she moves off it....
I don't believe kidney stones would be able to affect the nerve. You'd best hope for the nerve to be temporarily pinched rather than kidney stones which I've been told by my friends is worse than child birth... Which she had to pass a few days before giving birth.
Has anyone had kidney stones during your pregnancy and what did the pain feel like. I went to the hospital earlier and was sent home and told I was just experiencing round lig pain but I'm a bit skeptical of that verdict because it lasted for hours and the pain was so intense. I didn't test positive for a uti either but idk what to think. I dont have bloody urine but i swear i peed out something resembling a small pebble earlier too.
Kidney stones are painful and I have been hospitalized too many times to count just to get antibiotics and iv dilodid for a week each time and still got sent home on strong pain killers. The only thing worse than kidney stones is kidney stones while pregnant. It is a different kind of pain then delivery. Labor is a pain that has a reward for going through it. Passing kidney stones is a pain with no reward other than the end of the pain.
Just go anyway your insurance will cover anything back to 3 months! So if you go when you get your bill just mail your insurance info to the hospital or take it up there.

Recurrent urine infections could be due to various reasons. Most common cause is stones in kidney which is blocking urine pathway. Other causes are changing sexual partners frequently, pregnancy, diabetes and of course childhood infections. The urine can also be due to retention of urine anywhere in its flow due t obstruction. The obstruction can be due to abnormality of structures since birth, stones or diseases like tumors. Females are more prone to recurrent UTI.
The tip of my **** is swollen ONLY on the left side and the swelling does not reach the actual eye/hole of the penis. It hurts when it rubs against my underwear, only on the swollen area which is not significantly large, it's actually a rather small portion. It's possible you have a uti, bladder infection, or kidney stones. You really need to see a doctor to make sure your kidney's are doing ok asap. If you get a high fever go to the ER.
I have a uti and pretty bad kidney pain. I dont have a primary doc and was at the hospital for the same reason about 2 months ago. When i was at the hospital they did blood n urin samples and gave me n ultrasound to check for stones and it all came back negitive. What should i do? I dont wanna go back to the er for the same thing so frequently and have the test come back with nothing again =·\ 26weeks...
