My kids have given me a run this week!!!! Earlier in the week, my youngest son, 11 was up visiting my brother at his summer house, a little over an hour away. He called me after 10 at night and was crying saying he wanted to come home that he wasn't feeling good. I couldn't convince him to stay. He gets anxious being away from me and tends to do this a lot with sleepovers. He really wants to have sleepovers but he's just not able.

These agents aren't known to cause kidney stones. Most kidney stones in the US are caused by our diet which is rich in meat protein. Calcium supplementation does increase the risk of kidney stones. As far as the blood pressure goes, he should probably have his dose of the lisinopril reduced. Alternatively, there are other agents such as calcium channel blockers, beta blockers or Angiotensine receptor blockers that can also be tried. I would probably avoid diuretics at this point.
t have any other pain conditions. Just stones and kidney infections as a result of the stones. I take antibiotics about 2 weeks out of every month to keep the constant infections at bay which i can't imagine is good. Im assuming he refferred me to the pain mgmt dr because he's afraid of prescribing pain meds on such a regular basis. I can understand it but its still not easy for me because I'm uninsured and can't really afford to add another dr to the mix.
20 mm stone in my right kidney which was removed by lithotripsy and now as per ultrasound report the kidney is clear and now it is two month since the treatment. But after two months still i have now a different pressure like pain at the right side (back side) due to this pressure i always feel anxiety and tiredness. When i walk or move around there is no pressure (pain) but when i sit or lay down the pressure feeling starts.

I am a 37 year old man. I had Kidney stones in 2002 which was treated by the laser treatment. Again this year in 2010, I had the same problem and was again treated by the same method. The analysis of the stone was found to be due to calcium. My job demands that I remain fit all the time due to lack of medical help. I do drink about 2 liters of water per day some times accompanied with lemon.
I am a 60 yr old female with extensive history of kidney stones since 1978 (before lithotrypsy), recurrent infections & blood in urine. I am prone to both calcium stones & uric acid stones. First kidney stone was size of a walnut & could not pass so was removed by actual surgery. Over the yrs I experienced more stones that would not pass so more surgeries. Have developed scar tissue in both ureters & have had 2 stents. Extreme pain so stent removal.
m figuring that kidney stones take a while to form and that, if I have kidney stones and possibly an infection, it's likely that I had the kidney stones first and they contributed to the infection, rather that having an infection first that contributed to the kidney stones (sorry if this sounds confusing).

Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) is the most commonly used medical treatment for kidney stones. It uses shock waves that pass easily through the body but are strong enough to break up a kidney stone. If ESWL does not work or if you have a very large stone, Percutaneous nephrolithotomy or nephrolithotripsy is done. The surgeon puts a narrow telescope into the kidney through a cut in your back. He or she then removes the stone or breaks it up and removes it.

Since the kindey stone is 7 mm, so the symptoms seem unrelated to the kidney stones. Since you are having pedal or leg edema, hence your cardiac, liver and kidney functions need to be assessed for which I suggest you to consult a physician immediately. Abdominal causes like irritable bowel syndrome can also cause such symptoms. Common symptoms include abdominal cramping or pain, bloating and gassiness, and altered bowel habits(alternate constipation and loose stools).
